Supa: oh no! poor T! we had something similar happen when DD was behind a door at home and DH came barrelling in man-style. it was pandemonium.
MD: i was so thinking the same thing about PP!! LOL! but then i vaguely remember her mentioning a long weekend away this last one gone...
yeah, we were gutted this weekend. it was the dream house. now with a dream price tag LOL!
Leila has no fav show! i've tried ITNG (i love it LOL!), but nup, she aint playin'. so have no idea. i would love a theme as it does give me focus...
she does like shoes so maybe a 'mini-imelda' theme. although not sure if i want to support that in case leila does become a ruler of a small island nation....but a shoe cake would be cool...
-
Hehe...shoe cake would be sooo awesome!!! I'm imagining a pink stiletto!
As for ITNG MD, let me know if you want to borrow a multitude of toys. I have most of them (thanks MIL) stuffed, talking, and mini plastic ones. As well as the Ninky Nonk (thats the train isn't it, brain meltdown today) and Iggle Piggle in his boat. Oh, and the dvds and books:doh:
I'm gonna get tickets to her newly released Bris concert. Was ****ed to not be able to get the previous release ones but am so gonna be there this time. I went to the 2007 concert at 20 weeks preggers and S loves Pink to this day. We rock out on the car and as a baby it calmed her down whilst driving too.
Anyhoo...I'm having one of those days so won't stay on here and bring you guys down. So nighty night and fingers crossed for a better tomorrow
-
Kate I hope tomorrow is a better day!!!
Clare bummer about the house. I love the shoe theme for a party.
MD an ITNG theme will be great, L would love that. Should be easy enough to get everything you need too.
Supa your not a terrible mum, L has had so many accidents and bumps lol. I think I will be about 34 weeks if I go to the pink concert. Might be best to get seated tickets lol.
Where is Arte??
L seems to be loving his big bed again so woooo hoooo. He has been waking up crying during the night though and when I go in there he is a sleep, must be bad dreams poor little mite. Better go and make a cuppa and raid the biscuit tin.
-
hi girls
had a really really bad morning this morning.went down to drop lewis off at occasional care- i hadn't had a shower or breakfast yet or anything..thinking i would be straight back home in 5mins..but no! he absolutely cracked it like i've never seen him crack itbefore. i ended up staying the whole 3 hours.... the truth of the matter is he's just not ready...and i'm not ready either...so i'm pulling him out tomorrow. it broke my heart today.
-
Awww rainy  sounds like you had a rough day!! Maybe he will be ready in a few more months at least you gave it a go.
-
-
Thanks Katie, just emailed Lorelle a second ago!! :D
Aww Rainy - you poor thing. Do you think maybe he just had an "off" day? They do get a bit clingy around this age, we've had a few mummy's-leaving tears from Missy E recently and yet she's happy as apple pie at care and excited to go.
-
guys i think i've got mastitis, i'm so ill,i can hardly move. this is hell!
-
Poor Rainy-ouch mastitis! Go get it checked out and get some cream. Rest up sweetie.
Hey MD- I keep meaning to remember to say of course I am happy to have the pics of the kidlets on the web. Let me knw which site it is. Also the ITNG theme sounds fab! U could even do a pinata. Newspaper on a balloon with paper mache glue and have one for each of the kidlets to take home. Bit o' work though.
Clare- I can't believe u missed out on the house again. I hope u find one soon that is all urs.
Kate-a shoe cake would look awesome. T loves shoes too. U could always do a copy of one of her fav shoes.
Noni- my mum + I r booked to go to melb for that stitches + quilting show in Aug. By then (if all goes to plan) I will b 11 wks pg when mum + I fly there. I want to tell her that I am pg but am worried to tell her in case she isn't excited. Coz she had my brother last she has had a lot of work and I am wondering if ur mum was as happy for u when u told her about ur 2nd pg? Its like she thinks I won't b able to cope. My parents don't have much faith in me. She told me the other day she can't understand girls that have heaps of kids coz they have a lot of help from grandparents, she thinks they palm off responsibility. As u all know my MIL minds T one day a week + TAFE (which she doesn't agree with), anyway....
-
poor rainy sounds like yest was awful for you... hope you are feeling a bit better now?? if not go to dr my sweet!!! do what you think is best re the care but i thik the odd clingy day or getting upset is normal and this is a bit of a stage now perhaps... to be honest if you left he prob would have been able to be distracted quickly and be happy... but you are his mummy and you know what is best so maybe give it a few months and try again - it sounds like it was bad and broke your heart so if it isnt right fo ryou guys now, it isnt right! iw as thinking you were sipping latte with jimmy and having a baked treat!
clare - i am LOVING the shoe theme! L and I could have a joint party with that theme! bummer on the houses my sweet, hope it all happens for you soon - i know it can be so stressful.
kate - hope today is better, you can always off load here..
sorry have been a bit mia lately - i find now i am not working (HOORAY) i am on the comp less... today is really 1st day of real mat leave (as i had N on fri and DH stayed home yest) and i am stil in my pjs. having a relaxed day but do havea lot of things i want to get done and also we have people coming over for dinner so i will do a bit of a cook later...
LOL at MD thinking i was shopping on fri - not guilty!!!
-
Better day so far...lets wait until DH gets home tho and see where my mood ends up hehe
Rainy - you poor thing with the mastitis. Hope it gets cleared up really quickly for you.
PAP - Have an awesome first day of mat leave!!! Have a bit of 'me' time before getting too carried away lol
-
Hi Girls,
Just a quick one from me.
Pink was awesome last night. Also slight change of plans for America trip. We are now going on the 12th Aug (our wedding anni) and be back on 25 Aug and we are taking the kids and going to disney again. Woo hoo
Hello to eveyone

well my little neice is doing well.. looks like she will be out of nicu today and just to the nursery on the ward which is great for her and mum :) mums trying very hard to establish b/f so it will be great being able to have her at her bedside come feed time too.. also we will be able to see her without glass between us which is very exciting!!
supa - my mum was happy for me when i told her we were preg.. and she does help us out alot including financially.. dhs dad on the other hand reacted with "oh god".. hes very much all about money so he sees it from that point of view which i spose is fair enough coz financially we will struggle..
-
Hey everyone. So sorry for nto being aroung much. It seems just as I get everything *done* on here that I need to do, I get called away by one of the kids and don't get back to posting in here.
Noni, great to hear that your niece is doing so well. I know how you feel - when my sister had Leiah and nearly lost her that first weekend she was born was just awful and I was so torn about whether I should go to melb and see her jic she didn't make it kwim?
Leanne, glad to hear you had a great time, although I find it hard to imagine that anyone could see her and have a crap time ROFL.
Kate, so where is the mood-O-meter sitting now? ;)
Ooooh PP, so what is on the menu for tonight?
G, I hope you've been to the Dr and gotten some abs by now. It will still suck for the next day or so till they kick in fully  Don't worry about L not being settled at daycare, if you really feel he's not ready, pull him out and just try again later on.
Supa, I wouldn't worry about your Mum - it's your life to live and if you want another baby then go for it. You are not asking her to support you financially etc so she's really got no place commenting on it.

hello girls!
Rainy: oh no! hope you got to the GP today. that totally sux, not to mention needing to be a mumma to two little 'uns at the same time!
Noni: awesome progress for your niece! and it'll be great for your sis to get that special time with her to try to establish b/f.
Kate: sooo, how's it hangin'? te he he! bad moods can be fun though...
PP: man, busy busy busy! we had a dinner party the other night. i cooked and surprisingly it was yummo! we had spinach egg pasta with a ragu of epplant, capsicum, onion etc with cream and then followed by baked osso bucco in a tomato and wine sauce with toasty melted mozzarella on top (and then i cheated with dessert as i am craptacular and bought local italian sweets from the baker LOL!). soo yummo!
Leanne: AUGUST??!! that is so soon!!! should be so amazing though. so jello!
AFM: all good here. leila though woke at 4am with the smelliest poo (seems to be her theme lately...maybe i should do a poo party theme LOL!). so that was dramatic and shocking to face. but then she went back to sleep until 7.30!!! so stoked to get that extra bit in!
had a great time at MG today. lovely bunch of chickies and the kidlets are doing alot more interactive play.
other news is that the swine flu has hit our kindy. the Dept of Health assures us that we are at no big risk, but i am, well, cynical at best. what should i do? financially and time wise it would be great to keep her in, but emotionally and health-wise i would feel B.A.D if she got sick.....ARRGHHHH!
-
LOL....mood-o-meter has swung back to happy for now. He took me out to lunch and charmed me into forgetting my bad mood. ;)
Clare - bugger about the piggy flu...have they got a vaccination for that yet? S was fine after having the normal flu vac this year.
Sherie - We know that you have a lot on with running a household and helping to keep us BBers in line online. I give you props for doing as well as you do
Noni - Great news about bubs!
Lee - I'm going to join in the Jello of Lee club!
-
Clare, oh no on the oinking! If it were me (&all other things being equal) I'd err on the side of caution and keep her out for week --- by that stage there will be more info on who else at the kindy has caught it, kwim?
Rainy - hope your'e feeling much better, fast.
Noni - that must be such a relief!
Ah trill you are such a busy lady!! Think about you every day even when you're not posting. x
PP - ok well lovely mumma you just make sure you get plenty of resting/chilling out/recreation time in now while you can...or have you forgotten the first few frantic months already LOL?!
Supa - pinata great idea, but I think I'll wait a couple of years...they can be a bit of work to assemble, kwim?
AFM - another round of chemo today - feeling fine but exhausted. Missy E in care tomorrow so I'll be able to rest if I'm not a crazy steroid lady by then. But I have lots of birthday prezzies to wrap up for the impending double birthday...! How excitement.
-
Hi Girls,
Kate- glad your Mood o meter has swung back to happy.
MD:hug:hope you get to rest tomorrow.
Clare: oh no on the swine flu at kindy. lol on the poo party
Noni- glad your niece is doing well.
Supa-
AFM: All 3 of my babies seem to have a cold. If it doesnt rain it pours... Jordy came home from Daycare on Friday with 1 massive live nit in his hair and no eggs so I guess he got it from someone at school that day. We book our trip and are going to vegas first for 4 days then to anaheim for the rest.
Well better go hello to
-
Clare - I wouldnt be sending M if swine flu was on the loose at daycare. I am too worried about it all. It might be a bit of an inconvenience, but its better than her being unwell.
Rainy - Oh no what a rough trot your going through with L & daycare & mastitis. Rest up & get well. Dont feel bad about L & daycare, at least you have made the responsible decision that he isnt ready instead of forcing him. Give yourselves both a bit more time.
Leemar - Oh awesome, the kids will love it. You guys are going to have a ball! As for the nits, wow sneaky little bugger they are fast arent they? Really I guess I should be checking M's hair each day after care to make sure no little nit has made his way into her hair! They are terrible to get rid of.
MD - How many more chemo rounds do you have? Rest up tomorrow.
Supa - Dont let your mum worry you, its your life. I was a tad worried about telling my dad as he is into money etc like Noni's DH's dad as well, but I told him & mum & he was happy for us & said he is happy if I am happy. I am sure your mum would feel the same way? Do whats right for you. Bring on the babies!!!
So jealous of you all going to the pink concert!! Now who is going to BRITNEY!?
Girls feeling a bit down about things at the moment. I am so darn tired from this pregnancy which isnt helping. We had about a month of fantastic sleep with M, she was sleeping through & seemed to have forgotten about her midnight bottle. Well things have changed yet again & all wk she has been waking at all hrs crying for a bottle. So I am so tired that I just give it to her even though she keeps waking & crying after it, I know I am undoing all that work to get her off the darn thing. DH has been so helpful he knows how tired I am, but he is going to work each day like a zombie. & it doesnt help when I speak to other mums from mums group who all have toddlers sleeping through the night.....I continually wonder what I am doing wrong? Last night I was in tears asking DH that question. Maybe I am just being emotional lol. I am also getting frustrated at the fact that I cant keep her in her toddler bed lol, how silly does that sound? I dont know, just feeling like such an incompetent mummy atm!
-
I think I may have put two & two together, my theory (haha) is that she is maybe going through a growth spurt. Its just clicked to me that she has been eating heaps, eating all her dinner, all her brekky, & then still asking for more.
-
MM glad you made the connection, I was about to say "maybe she's hungry"...try fitting in some extra snacks or add some higher energy density food to what she's already eating (eg like grate some cheese onto her dinner) and see if that helps? xxx
-
hi everyone
i hope our sweet rainy is feeling better today.
clare - i would keep her out, but check with the kindy the extent and what they are doing. there seems to be a real risk but also a lot of 'hysteria' iykwim? hope the little oinks stay away from miss L.
sherie - good to see you, we missed you!
mm - think it is so normal to feel that way sometimes, esp when you are preg and have a toddler - it si exhausting the pregnancy the second time around isnt it. hope you are feeling better today. dont beat yourself up about the bottle in the night, we do what we can! but i agree with what you are thinking - beef up her food a bit maybe? N has been expecially hungry lately - has up to 3 serves of lunch at kindy, has extra afternoon and morning tea and double the dinner he used to have (plus a treat after). he is unstoppable on the food front at the moment esp in the evenings.. (bfast not such a huge deal here - never has been). i find bananas quite good, i sometimes give him one as soon as i get him from kindy as he has a full on tantrum if dinner isnt ready when he gets home. i also grate cheese on his dinner a lot of the time and add things like lentils, some lsa mix and slow burn carbs too when i can. hope it settles a bit fo ryou soon (says she whose little one is a night waker from way back, but he doesnt eat in the night!!).
afm all is well. mat leave going well but i am still on the go... just need to get my list ticked and i can relax lol! i hope i do get some feet up time, i need it! N is acting up at the moment, he has obv caught onto the baby thing... the capsule is in car (yay!), the clothes were on the line, bassinette in our room - so he is v aware and not happy.... being clingy, moody etc etc - normal toddler stuff but also asking a lot about the baby... ie pointed to clothesline and said 'baby clothes - no', basinette - baby bed, not noah etc etc. hmmmm...
-
PP it will take him a little while to adjust, but you will be surprised that once bubs is finally here, how blase they can be about it at this age - it's like "meh, that's nice" and off they go again. Naturally they all have their moments where they feel totally put out, but it all works out.
H  we are struggling here with sleep too again. It was going great for a while, and if he did wake, I would pop the dummy back in and he was fine. But now it's on for young and old and he has been ending up in our bed the past four nights and he simply refuses to stay in his cot to go to bed at night and will just keep climbing out. So I dim the lights in the loungeroom, turn the telly down low and lay him on his fold out lounge with his pillow and a blanket and he is out like a light in 10mins. So his issue is both developmental and also cutting his last eye tooth as well. And then all of that for you is made worse by being pg!
MD, how did you go overnight? I hope Crazy Steroid Lady hasn't made an appearance today  each one you have means there are less to go. It's so exciting about the partys coming up, but I am having enough trouble what to buy for Paige's 5th birthday next friday! we have no idea what to get her as they really don't need anymore toys. We were thinking of a bookshelf, but it is so hard to find the *perfect* one!
Leanne, I hope the kids aren't sick for too long.
Clare, I would have been very unimpressed at a 4am poo! I hope that was a once off LOL. Tricky to know what to do about this swine flu. The southern area health service (which encompasses where we are) has the highest number of cases in NSW, so it's only a matter of time before it gets to our town.
Oh, those of you who are finding tea sets a huge hit, you should look into getting a little timber fruit set that they can 'cut' - they are already in two halves and join with velcro, but they have a little knife so they can pretend to cut their fruit - kids love them.
Things have been so busy here - had a dentist appt yesterday (yay! only two more to go  ) school sports carnival was today, but I can't go because Paige is having Special Person's day at preschool tomorrow and it's her last year before big school and all that, then on Friday Lindsay has an opthamologist check up for his eyes and then Saturday is auskick. But I have had a productive morning so far - got my tupperware I had ordered from a friend and now I almost have a pantry that looks like the catalogue PMSL! But I am a few short, so I have been making a list of what I need. All of this is with DH's blessing too because the mice are so bad here it's only a matter of time before they work out how to get into the top shelves of the pantry :( I am totally over mice! We have been catching 3 a night and the other night I had to wash an entire drawer full of clothes as they had pooed all through it! As if I don't have enough washing to do already! Anyway, DH has been really good about it and knows that I am doing nearly twice as much cleaning because of the mice, so if the house doesn't *look* tidy, he knows that I might have moved all the furniture and vacuumed all the mice poo from under them (and inside them - seriously it's never bloody ending) and cleaned out cupboards to make sure they are mouse proof and just didn't get around to picking up all the toys on the floor. Everyone around here is having the same trouble. He said tht even on the tractor at night, there are dozens of them in the paddocks.
I also brought a little sewing machine too - Dh has been taking the mickey out of me for years about not having one (what sort of wife are you - not having a sewing machine! <- all in fun of course) and Target had some little Brother brand ones on sale for half price at $164!! so for the little bit of sewing that I would do, I can justify that much, but not a full price one kwim? I am not really into sewing - I can do it but it's always been a chore. So I have a few little projects in the pipeline to do now that I have it.
-
Trill, bummer about the mice. We have them here to and I have been thinking of you! So far I just hear them scuttling about in the roof and the cat has taken up permanent position looking between the fridge and the dishwasher. Also one of them must have died in the roof because DH cut a small hole in the ceiling to put in the extractor fan in the kitchen and I keep smelling that rancid reek of something dead.
We went to the fieldays over the weekend, it was crammed full of farm supplies - you and your DH should offer to speak at the 'farming in Australia' tent next year and see if you can write off the trip as tax lol
Been reading but not posting, BIL was here and he makes it hard to get on to the computer for more than a few seconds (as well as using nearly 20Gig of internet in 3 days!)
Toilet training - we bring out the potty after bathtime but he has only gone in it once - he usually sits for 5 seconds then jumps up again and says 'just farts'
Sleeping - OMG why won't he just sleep through the flipping night! I am so sick of being woken 2-3 times every night, I just wanna sleep!!!!
Kate, you are welcome. My idea for them was to ice some arrowroot biscuits green (like leaves) and put a ladybird on each one
Clare, bummer about the house AGAIN! I am frustrated and it isn't even me! Must be really annoying for you both
MD, hope that the chemo treats you nicely.
W is my supermarket helper now, I give him a list of a few things to remind me about and he does. He also tells me what not to buy - "don't need juice! Got some at home" lol And he says the adorable 'William luffs mum (or dad)" or "Mum luffs William very much"
He is also pretending and using his imagination a lot more now which is adorable. He rides his little truck along, then gets off, makes a waving gestures and noises saying "open the gate", gets back on the truck, rides though, gets back off, "shut the gate" and then "going to work". Very cute.
Sorry to everyone I have missed
-
hi everyone
sherie- that mouse problem sounds bad! do you have any cats? that should sort it out. my golden retriever is a great mouser too lol
md- how you feeling today hun? hope you're getting lots of rest, long hot showers and cups of tea
arte- how's w going in his toddler bed? does he love it?
pap- what colour clothes did you hang on the line? pmsl!! just kidding!! how exciting
don't worry, noah will just adore his little one. lewis squeals in delight when he first sees jimmy in the mornings.
mm- i remember being soooo exhausted at your stage of the pg and lewis was waking constantly, it's sooo hard. do you have a nanna nap in the arvos ever when m is asleep?
leanne- i totally agree that when it rains it pors. always seems to be the way doesn't it?
your trip sounds awesome, lucky girl
well i'm feeling heaps better today. the abs kicked in almost instantly thankfully..yesterday was a rough day! it's sooo hard being sick when you've got kids isn't it? not like back in the day where you'd just call in sick and then lie on the couch watching days of our lives and snoozing.
rang up and spoke to the daycare director today and she agreed with my decision to pull lewis out. she said to call her in a few months and she'd slot him back in if we wanted
-
Rainy, so glad the abs worked straight away. It is definitely no fun being sick with kids, they don't let you slob around in your pajamas feeling sorry for yourself. Forgot to say good call on pulling L from care, I would do the same if that happened to us.
W likes his bed, but I still sleep in there every night with him. I would like to get back to my own bed sometime but don't know how when he is still waking 2-3 times a night. It is far to cold to get up and go to his room.
I don't know how I will get by if I get any more tired, W only has a day nap maybe once a week now.
It is adorable that L is so happy to see J in the mornings!
-
oh arte, i know that tiredness,i was so exhausted
what a pita he doesn't have a daysleep at all. that was my saviour when i was pg.
are you going to start sneaking out of his bed?
i'm not one to give any advice on this topic anyway lol, cos i sleep with both the bl88dy ratbags!
feeling really good about my decision to pull him outta care. there's no urgency- we're aiming to get him in 3yo kinder in jan 2011, so we'll just keep going how we are in the meantime.
-
Far out, I wish I didn't sleep with him but I don't think I could drag myself out of bed and go to his room down the hall in zero-ish temps several times a night. We should have just left him in our bed- now DH sleeps alone in a king bed, William has 3/4 of his king single and I have a little strip that leaves my bum hanging over the edge most nights lol
The rotting smell in the kitchen is getting worse, I have to hold my breath when I go in there and it doesn't do a lot for the appetite!
-
Arte - i hear ya sista, we are the same here with the wake ups... i have to admit i think N is a little better since we dont sleep in his bed with him anymore... but it is prob a coincidence... and it does mean DH or I are up in the cold nights with him...
Rainy - so glad you are feeling better and it also sounds like yo uhave def made the right call re care. sooo gorgeous L is so excited about J, i am sure we will get to that... just dealing with the transition phase
Trill - thanks for your advice, will keep it in mind.. am sure it is worse in my mind than in reality
MD - how are you today? roid woman? tingly hands again? or smooth sailing? (i hpoe the latter). when is DD1 party rescheduled to?
Kate - hope feeling good today
AFM had a good day - main task was mega wxing LOL (was 2 wks later than usual) and the good news is there was no bladder issues or waters breaking LOL! i remember worrying about the same thing last time around. tomorrow i have acupuncture again and hoepfully cupping for my back so thats good... looking fwd to that. think i will start epo soon and also am upping the RLT so hopefully things will happen soon. think i am feeling less than last time around... sorry girls i should prob keep these updates out of here... (will keep in mind) and in the preg section...
N is currently obsessed with a peter alexander bag - takes it everywhere. he is also calling himself cheeky bugger and bubbalicious alternatively - adorable!
have a good evebing ladies - i am out for dinner with my mum who is in town for work.
-
Nooooo Pregpan, keep all your updates in here!! I'm soooo loving every thing your writing, it brings back memories, pregnancy is such a special time, no matter what aches and pains and problems. I'm not ever going to have that joy ever again so I just loooove that I can still be here and hear about from you and all our other lovely gorgeous preggie mummies!! xxx
Trill - you poor thing with the mice. Pity Beags the mouser isn't still with us, I could've sent her over to you for a holiday. She was this little fat dog who was lightening fast whenever it came to food, and mice/rats/rodents/lizards all fell into the food category! She stayed a friends house for the weekend and flushed out a rat who he'd been trying to catch for a couple of weeks LOL. Yay for your tupperware, I"m dying to have the tupp pantry makeover...one day I'll get myself organised and have a party and get some bonuses that way. In our case I just need to do it because we don't have a pantry cupboard and all the packets get lost in amongst each other whereas the tupp stacks in layers.
Trill i have been eyeing off the wooden cutting food on ebay... they have some nice ones on there.
BTW for Paige's bookshelf, I reckon you should get a plain wooden one (you can buy them raw fairly cheap at Bunnings/Big W etc) and then paint it up in however many colours you like. I've done this, i use sample pots of paint from Bunnings (which are water-based) and then I rub beeswax over the top to finish it. Get the liquid beeswax if you can, it rubs on beautifully. You could even get some mdf cut out shapes, paint them in a contrasting colour and stick them around the outside, kwim? Haha it's not like you're not already busy enough, lady! :p
Re DD1's party - next weekend!! Better get my A into G... although I'm delegating catering to the resident chef.
Arte, are you going to send DH up there with a torch, I don't know how you stand it preggy lady. I sooo know what you mean about the cold walk up the hallway...brrrr. How's the blood sugar situation going now? LOL at your supermarket helper! When we go to the shops, DD1 wears her heelies (sneakers with the wheels on) then holds Missy E's hand and gets her to pull her around the shops PMSL. They both think it's hilarious.
Rainy that's great the director was so understanding, you know L and what he needs better than anyone. And if you change your mind and decide to try again whenever they will get him back in.
Hands aren't so tingly today, saw my shaman-dude on Monday and he's given me some energy exercises to do specifically for my hands so I hope that's helping...likewise with the bladder. Also I'm not totally overwhelmed mentally this time so I'm taking all my vits and herbs and things and I'm sure consistency there will make a difference too. Feeling fine but a bit geed up but tired at the same time. Thought I'd come home and race around and cook tea before DH gets home but that soo aint gonna happen today.
Just wanted to tell you all I had a fabby day today, had to get out of the house cos i left my pills at the hospy so had to drive in for them, went a bit further to the alternative health centre, picked up some fabby books written by awesome inspiring peeps, then got to call in unannounced to have a cuppa with my stepmum who really needed the pickmeup today. :D Then *highlight* popped into the Haighs factory shop and not only did I score some seconds(!!!) they also had these gorgeous chocolate fondue sets - very simple looking, so I snapped that up for treat-times! Never done a chocolate fondue before but their recipe contains 200g of haighs choc so might have to save that for a special occasion I think (....like this weekend haha!). Then I rocked on over to the public library and for some reason they had a particularly awesome collection of DVDs lined up together on the shelf so our viewing is sorted for the next month! Plus I'm HIGH on steroids so I was a very good day PMSL.
Love to Jazah, and Noni, and Oz and anyone else we haven't seen for bit xxxx.
Ah I'd better stop typing now, I'm doing my manic steroid-lady thing and typing a million miles a minute LOL.
-
Oh, and just in case I don't get on tomorrow morning (Big Day in our house)...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALLY!!!! :birthday2: Hope you have a gorgeous day and get treated with all the love and lavished with all the treats you deserve! Make sure you have a cuppa and a piece of cake and think of us :D
-

SupaB, I watched McLouds today, seems that I have missed you because Stevie now has a baby and Alex appears to be dead?? Do you know what happened to him?
MD, we had a lab/staffy X that sounds like your Beags - she was a couch ornament but as soon as someone crinkled a packet she was at your feet like a rocket! Once she broke into my bro's fundraising cookies, so silently that I was in the next room with both doors open and didn't hear her rustle a single packet, she got them out of the individual plastic wrappers and munched away. She did such a perfect job that bro would have got the blame if I hadn't walked past and caught her in the act lol I always think it was appropriate that they were bone shaped biscuits fundraising for guide dogs!
Blood sugars seem to be tracking fine at the moment, have had a few higher readings but nothing too major. I looked at my notes from last time and they got high around 31 weeks and I was on insulin by 32 weeks, so I guess I will see what happens over the next month.
Well done on the choc fondue set, sounds like fun.
Cally, hope you have a great day tomorrow!!
PAP, don't stop talking about your pregnancy, I love how our little september family is growing! So exciting.

Arte - Oh Oh Oh thats one episode I did watch!! If I can remember correctly, Alex got stuck under a fallen tree log somehow (cant quite remember how it happened) with poor Stevie by his side, heavily pregnant, & desperately trying to lift the log. She cant though & poor Alex dies. I bawled my eyes out because Stevie was so upset & she had to give birth without Alex by her side, & then she rejected the baby, and then and then...I could go on all night lol. W is SO smart! Love the new pics on FB. Oh no here I was whinging about M's sleep & you are heavily pregnant & half falling out of W's bed! Sorry, I hope he starts sleeping through for you soon, I hope we all get some much needed rest!
Rainy - Well thats good that the director didnt push for L to stay, at least she has his best interests at heart & not thinking of money - which is reassuring for if you want to try him there again down the track. Otherwise us kids never went to daycare, just started at kindy like normal.
Cally - Happy birthday for tomorrow!
Trill - Those mice sound like they are breeding like mad! I cant believe they just run willy nilly in the fields!?
MD - So glad you had a nice day! You made me laugh with your steroid crazy typing lol!
PAP - We love hearing about pregnancy! LOL at N calling himself cheeky monkey & bubbalicious (thats a good one!)
Thanks girls for the tips on extra snacks etc. M ate more than usual today, & she didnt want to sleep, so hopefully tonight I will at least get one night of block sleep!

MM, don't apologise for complaining about the tiredness - I fully remember how tired I was first tri with W, I couldn't have managed to get up in the night back then. I got off a lot lighter this time.
Well, I guess it is what I should expect for complaining about being woken up during the night - last night I was again woken 3 times, followed promptly by being vomitted on. The moral of the story - it can always get worse!
-
happy birthday cally!! hope katie gives you lots of big cuddles
arte- is w ok?

Happy Birthday Cally!!
Arte I hope W is ok.
Rainy glad the ab's kicked in quickly for you. When I had mastitis I couldnt even raise my arm.
H are your Gypsy or Madsmum??? How did M sleep? L has just started going back to his big bed and sleeping through the night without waking, it will happen for you. I remember all to well how tired you get those first 12 weeks.
I am having a brain fart and cant remember anything else. So I hope everyone else is doing well.

Happy birthday Cally.
Glad you're ok Rainy.
Hi all. :D
-
Hi Ange lovely lady!!
Pregpan - Nooooo don't chicken out! He won't be traumatised by it (the methods get even gentler after 12 months cos kids have an understanding of mummy not being there), and this is prolly your last chance to get it sorted b4 bubs arrives. Enjoy your cleaner-enforced morning out LOL!
