Miss K decided to give up day sleeps over the weekend. But we had to go out each afternoon in the car and she was asleep within 10 minutes, so not sure she's really ready to. We had a wonderful play down on the rocks at the beach, found so many things to look at and she was just constantly on the go. Unfortuantely it didn't wear her out enough to make her sleep! On the upside, she slept in to 7:15 this morning so that was nice!
Trill - big hugs, hope your mum and brother are doing OK.
Arte - wow, very brave letting W have a knife. Our stuff is all so sharp (got me a few times) I'm a bit scared of letting K have any responsibility for it. She sits on the bench and helps get things out of containers, stir etc though. We don't worry about peeling carrots here..... Hope the trip wasn't too bad.
Lp - wow, that is demanding. I don't know whether K was being difficult over the weekend or if it was me, but I found it a very stressful weekend. She was just constantly doing little annoying things. Like kind of kicking me, but quite gentle so it was really more irritating anything else, pulling my hair. She did have some very cute moments though, like her and DH sitting in the back of the car on the way out of the shopping centre yesterday chanting 'Find milkshake shop mummy!' (all the ones at the centre were closed and she had been promised she could share DH's because she had been an angel while we were out)
LP: and ! those are some tanties lol! DD went through a massive tanty phase about 8 months ago. we had just moved house and i guess it was all too much new information. it was insane! really public displays that just wouldnt stop lol. i reckon they go through phases, so no doubt S will get through this latest patch and be back to awesomeness in no time....but i must admit that i had a wee giggle at the smearing on the glass...he he, she prolly thought that was hilarious he he he!
Arte: hope the trip went well...i think i might put my order in for a baby like A!! liking the sounds of non-grizzly baby very much lol. leila was awesome even from a young age at grizzling lol.
noni: tell me about it! we have a hard time on the weekends with DD because many friends have organised activities and we just didnt have the cash lately to enrol her in classes or the like. hopefully we can for the coming summer. i really want her to get into swim...but it costs a bomb and i just dont have it ATM. we'll have to share boredom busting tips with eachother!
Sherie: i hope that the funeral service was lovely for him
the second half of semesters are always a bit more barmy...but i reckon if you get the basics started early on the 'easier' subjects (ie the ones you like lol), then all they need is a quick fill in closer to submission giving you plenty of time to do more research/lectures on the harder subjects itms...
MD: ohhh so is that why leila has no sense of rythmn???!!! it's my poor lounge-room dancing ROFL!
Cally: all i can say is: mmmmmmmm milkshakes!
AFM: we had a great long weekend. just lovely sunny weather and not much soccer!! so we got to do a day trip to ballarat to visit the eureka stockade. the original plan was to get early enough off to see sovereign hill...but DH procrastinated long enough that we didnt get to go...he REALLY wanted to see the eureka stockade thing.... despite his sabotage though we did have a lovely time! although the theme was a bit too scary for leila and she just hid into my shoulder the whole time.
LOL Ginger – I am also a terrible Belly Buddy…. I don’t have the feral excuse.. just that I am slack./overworked/tired. Oh maybe they are feral LOL! Cally – sounds like a nice weekend, the milkshake antics sound fun! Hope you found a good destination! Cass – lol at the sabotage! I am also looking to get N into swimming – feel bad he has never done any and guess we better start N had a sleep over at my mums on Sunday – amazing how refreshed I felt after despite J being up ti his usual non sleeping antics! It was great to give J our undivided attemtion – I xcant believe how much he loved it (and how lucky N was that that was his reality!) N was in heaven at mums… has been quite precocious since he came home DH off to Syd tomorrow hjust for the day – wondering how I will go doing morning alone, drop off, work, pick up and evening routine…. Anyone have mothers day plans?
no, no mothers day plans here. it is so close to both DH and my birthdays that it does tend to get left to the side...or rather i wait for DH to remember and he doesnt and then rushes off to the servo late that night to buy me a turkish delight chocolate bar LOL! i am serious. 2 years in a row and counting!

Well G, they don't have a "Devil Incarnate's Day" so what does he do each year? DH says the same thing to me too LOL.
MP, it is nice to just have that one on one time with the younger ones. We've done it on occasion when the older ones had a sleepover at the IL's and A was too little to go.
We had a quick overnight trip to SIL's place on Saturday then came home sunday. She is 20wks pg with their first and still has a completely flat stomach! I said are you sure you're having a baby? LOL. She is due sept 14 like I was with A, so it will be interesting to see how far apart or close together they end up.
MP, we're planning to do the Mother's Day Classic, oh well I am anyway, keep forgetting to tell anyone else LOL I suppose I'd better hey?! After that I'm hoping it will be a brunch in a cafe with my stepmum (if she's well enough) and just my sis & us if she's not.
My head is fried, I went to a sewing-machine orientation class (missed it three years ago when DH bought me the machine, better late than never) and besides being FANTASTIC (I may yet quilt again) there is also some social opportunities opening up there. I need to start getting out to some regular activities or I just won't be able to cope with going back to work - how sad is that, I know, but true. Anyway I've read all your posts about three times now but I'm too fried to form a coherent reply so I just want to say: Hugs for those who need them, Tanties sound NORMAL (I remember how hard I found this age when DD1 was at home all week long), everyone just be kind to yourselves ok, you are all doing a good job loving and caring for your children. xxx
PS Ginger if that's the case I hope your new kitty cat is a girl...(she is, isn't she)?? LOL
PPS Cass you will have to start reminding L...cue him in on Fri when there is still 'organising' time. I often say to DH on the payday preceding whatever event, How much money do i need to allot you out of the budget given that x falls within the fortnight (*pointed silence*)?? Subtlety ain't worth squat.
