Discharge TMI-warning

My DD is almost 9 wks old and was born via CS. I had very minimal lochia it only lasted a week. Today i went to the toilet and when i wiped i had some very thick clear with a yellow tinge mucous. Like the white of an egg but thicker. Is this normal? there was alot. DD is fully BF if that makes any diff. I just havent had anything like it b4.

Well obviously noone really knows. Today i have had really bad cramping almost like period pain!! maybe it means AF will show her head again although i was hoping i'd be one of the lucky ones and whilst bf she would stay at bay.

Did it kinda look like ya plug...jelly looking?? I had that just before last AF.....and that was 6 weeks after Jasmines birth.

Ive not had it this time though. It wasnt something i ever had prior to having children.

Hi Hoody

I too have had this discharge. My little boy was also born via c/s 11 and a half weeks ago and I still have it everyday. I'm also bfeeding him too so I wonder if that has anything to do with it. I also asked my OB at my 6 week check up and she said it was normal but I'm not sure if its normal at this stage. I also haven't had af either. Hope you get some more answers soon.

I just got this 3 days ago and had a c/s like you and almost no PP bleeding.. I think I was ovulating??? maybe.. not sure as i had my tubes tied so I don't know how that works now

Kimbaz i did think it looked just like my plug (well what i can remember from DD1) only not tinged with the blood. The other thing i was thinking like aussienic was that maybe i was ovulating but as i said it was a big amount nothing like i've had b4. I really hope AF doesnt show up yet i'm not ready for her, haha. Oh well glad to know i'm not the only one who had this.

I was going to say you might be ovulating, but if you got AF the next day, that doesn't work does it??

I still haven't got mine yet BUT we are still doing lots of night feeds whereas Molly sleeps through most of the time doesn't she? They say when you drop night feeds you usually get it back.

I didn't get mine with DD till 6 months, hoping for the same this time!

Willow, Molly can go up to 7 or 8 hrs over night but we are still feeding 3-4 hrly the rest of the time and as i said she CAN go that long but she doesnt always last night she fed at 10, 4, 5.30 and then 7.30. I thought it was maybe because i was sick and my milk had dropped off so much but who knows. With DD1 i only BF for 7 wks and AF didnt come back until she was 6 months.
