I think it is your choice. Whatever you choose then as long as your happy with it it shouldn't matter. Personally i think going on the pill is just like using condoms and you can be lazy with either you can forget to take a pill and fall pregnant like i did with my first bub or you can be using condoms have a couple to drink or just simply forget to put it on. After my bub is due i will be using condoms until i have stopped Breast Feeding then we might talk about the pill after that. But i will tell you this now DP has another thing coming if he thinks he is getting anywhere near my bits for atleast a month or 6 weeks hahahaha. Good luck hun if you want to use condoms then do it in the end it is up to you anyway.

You should see the looks you get when you tell them you use the withdrawal method! LMAO. I'm surprised at the condoms being looked at as a no no tho.. we were told straight up to use condoms until my 6 week check up at which time we could discuss the pill. ?? I didn't want the pill anyway.. and we just went on our merry way the way we've done it for years!

My cycle returned at 3 months tho, so it was kinda easy to know when to be extra careful anyway.

Hi ladies, seeing you've all had experience using condoms I thought I might ask some advice re brands. When I get my implanon rod out I want hubby to use a condom while we are on our overseas trip and until periods return to normal. We've only ever used them for like 1 week when we were first married but hubby gave them up as he said they were tight/uncomfortable. I don't want to be too rude, would anyone have any brand suggustions for a, ahem, larger man?
Thanks for your help and I hope you are not offended!

Ruth - If you go to the supermarket secion where the condoms are some actually have sizes and uyou can buy the large ones. Good luck and i hope he finds one that is confortable enough for him

As Dad2be says, he doesn't like wearing them but he doesn't like abstaining even more! lmao. The midwife told me that the mini-pill is 100% totally effective if you take it at the EXACT same time every day and it was only lazy stupid people who get preg on the mini pill. As I have a friend who fell pregnant on the mini pill taking it properly I wasn't too impressed with this insinuation and told her so and she still insisted that obviously she hadn't taken it properly if she was now pregnant

100% as if...I have no doubt it is less effective if you don't follow the directions properly but there is only one way that is 100%. Not very many people choose not having sex for obvious reasons. The manufacturers state an effectiveness on the package. I am sure it doesn't say 100%

Egg White Cervical Mucus - fertile mucus in other words.

Celtic - I hate abbreviating your user name to CM sometimes for this reason - its also an abbreviation for cervical mucus!!

even if you took the pill you would have to use condoms until you knew the pill was properly regulating so seems to me your medical professional was giving you some of her own preference, not advising you on your options and just letting you make the decision. Maybe you should call her back up and thank her for the talk as it got you thinking and helped you decide you practice the pull out method. that should get her thinking a bit! lol

Ruth at your question. There are some good websites too where you can look that stuff up if you don't want to stand gazing at all the condoms in the supermarket just be carefull what you type in t the search engines
. FYI the scented ones, can get quite stinky when they get hot, and if you haven't used one for quite some time, make sure you both know how to put it on so that it doesn't break. You have to get the air out of the tip (that's the main reason they break and accidents happen)

I think when I told them we use natural methods they figured it was a religious choice, ha, I didn't care what they thought as long as they stopped asking me.
