OP, Im so very sorry for your loss. The shock, pain and emptiness of it all can be overwhelming at times and Im so sorry you have to experience this too.
I just wanted to share something with you, with my last loss in June, I had an u/s at 8 weeks and saw the baby on the screen, by 9.5 weeks it had passed away and was measuring at 7 weeks. I had a final scan at 10.5 weeks at a different clinic just before my D&C and they could not find the baby at all. They called it a 'blighted ovum', even though I knew it wasnt because Id seen the baby at the previous two u/s. They told me the embryo shrinks quite rapidly after death. Perhaps this happened to you also? Either way, your loss IS real and you are every bit entitled to grieve your loss.
I had similar experiences with medical staff. Sometimes they can be a quite insensitive (without meaning to be) at the time when you are dealing with your loss and it can make you hurt even more. I nearly wanted to punch a nurse for what she said to me as I was being wheeled in for my D&C
Oh hun this is just devastating news. I am so sorry. My heart stopped when I saw the title and the last post referred to you. I feel huge grief and loss for you and DH, DD & DS so definitely you are allowed to as well.
I feel so sad. Please let me know if there's anything you need.
OP. I read this thread last night and couldn't reply straight away. I feel your pain hun.
I thought of you all last night and what you have written and really wanted to come up with some magic words that would take away all your sadness and hurt, but I know thats just not possible
I share the thoughts of everyone else that has posted here and say that you have every right to grieve. Infact- you need to grieve!
Its so unfair! I am so sorry you have had to go through this. It is awful and no matter what the doctors say you DID lose a baby, and i wish i could take all your pain away
