I would be a little wary about the "recently" in your first sentence. You might mistakenly give the impression that the realities of parenthood haven't hit yet, and that you are still riding that early "high".
Other than that it looks good to me
Also - see if you can put a copy of your application in the midwives/student midwives forum to get some more specific feedback from those who have really been there.
