OH bloody Nora Chirsty hon im sitting here with tears stinging my eye's.....poor sausage...thank god for your angels to have been there
Must have been the weekend for it :rolleye:
We had a family break at the inlaws on the weekend....all was ok.....Indian lunch which I knew W would touch...SIL telling me it was alirght as she had bags of chips in the boot of her car for him..(WTF thats NOT lunch) but I drove to the supermarket and got bread, devon and cheese for sanga's for him and his favourite, milo yogurts.
Then on the sunday, SIL comes to babysit other SIL (she is disabled) and it was just to much for W. He had such a tummy ache and over everything. Nephew can be nasty when we are not in ear shot (eg non sharing and narky) so W gets more upset......thank god we went to Sammi's for lunch and it helped .....hench why the woman will play a very important role in his life soon.
Ive been giving him daily fixes of incremin again which has helped settle him down but OMG he thinks swearing is funny...and fart jokes :rolleye: I do to but how can I tell him their not for school
MR - YAY for J's testing starting......hope that it will bring some light and help for you guys
Sarah - WTF!!!!!!! have you gone to the principal about this moron???? Can you get him change dout of her class? What a wench!!!!!
Thank god tomorrow is friday sleepin saturday morning for him
Hi all sorry this is quick but it has been a hectic week,
Tomorrow is assessment day, so we will know what path we will be taking.
A friend of a friend has a son with autism, she was sick of explaining to people what was wrong with her son. So she had cards printed up and on it it said something along the lines of
My son has autism, instead of judging him learn about autism.
Apparently she gave this to many people who sneered at her whislt out with her son. She walks up hands them a card and quietly walks away again. What a brave soul she must be.
Will keep you all posted, hoping we get some news tomorrow.
Maz - hoping to catch up with his teacher tomorrow - she's never bloody there! But it's like talking to a freaking brick wall - I think I will have more luck with learning support teacher she have made an appointment with her just want to move to Brissie and find him a new school altogether!
MBP we thought we'd get Matilda a T-shirt when we get a diagnosis that says "I have Asperger's, my mum needs chocolate, not advice" hehehehe. Goodluck with assessments.
Sarah... as a teacher yourself you must be so angry and frustrated.
Mel I hope that the start of everything doesn't leave you too frustrated. J is an amazing soul and it would be so lovely for you to be able to unlock some of those things or understand some quirks better.
Maz :hugs: family heh? I'm so glad your soul sister can help you. I am so glad to be here because I feel like I have people around me now who don't judge but who are helping.
I have one friend whose children are hard to socialise with for us, and who is often saying to me "but my kids need to be themselves with Matilda... not have to change to play with her" whenever M has a meltdown because they don't share or understand something. I feel like saying "don't we as adults adjust our behaviour for who we are around, do we act the same with babies as we do with a groupd of girls on a night out (wait.. whats that again?) Why shouldn't we teach our children to start now?"
Id bel ost without my soul sister Chrissy...she really doesnt realise how much she means to this family I dont think .
Im also thankful that we can come in here and download ourselves.......know one knows the lengths and pains we go to better then us and its so good to have the understanding and empathy, with actually experienced it ourselves
I bought W a tshirt in his red faze (yep we had a red faze) that says - someday I'll be your boss...his career pee'd herself the first time she saw it
Why is it that atleast one monring a week, Jed feels the urge to yell and make W feel like crap before he goes to school
MBP - Good luck today honey I'll be thinking of you
Sarah - can I come and tell the teacher off with ya thinking of you too
Best take the boys to school before W lets loose on his little sister who keeps yelling...let me in your room NOW!!!
