baby sling?

Hi I have a 6 month old bub and want to buy a sling to carry him in the I can put him on my hip. So not a baby bourn (sp) one or similar. Also want to be able to use it from newborn up to 2 yrs. I have seen lots of them but am wondering if anyone has one and could recommend one for me before I buy one.
I have a sling that I used when Jakson was little but it is too heavy on my back and shoulders so thought having him on my hip in a sling would be great just to run into the shops or whatever.
Please any advice would be great.

Ive just purchased a chikadee baby sling off ebay for around $35 including delivery and I love it. It dosn't hurt my back in anyway and I do have a dodgy back. It can be worn in a cradle, hip, back and front position. It is also from new borns up to 2 years. I highly recommend it.
