Hi Shelley,
Im just wondering if theres anything that he's eating that may not be agreeing with him? That may explain the nappy rash and perhaps an upset tummy.
With the red throat, maybe he has had a bit of a sore throat. Would explain why it seems so painful for him to drink his bottle. The weather lately i dont think is doing anyone any good. Jesse just looked off for a few days the past week, was crying, clingy and whingy. He didnt have a runny nose or anything, and until i took him to the doctor to get checked out, i didnt realise he actually had an ear infection. Its just so hard when they cant tell you whats wrong with them.
Regarding the seperation anxiety, perhaps thats just what it is. Around and from this age, some and most bubs go through something similar. Jesse started at 4 months old. If anyone other that DH or i made eye contact with him he'd cry. And then since about 7 months, if he saw me walk out of the room, he'd cry also. Its just them realising that they are a seperate person to you. But it does get better :hugs:
Jesse was also a chucka. After each bottle, would always bring a good amount up. The same went with the solids. I covered our floor with an old sheet. He continued putting on weight so i didnt worry too much. And it wasnt until he started sitting up unaided for a while that it stopped.
I mean all these reasons may not be the answer, it may be reflux, but id probably personally get it diagnosed before you put him on AR formula. It is quite thick and you dont want it upsetting his tummy more. So what id do, is just take a trip to your GP. Im surprised the hospital didnt give you some antibiotics if she thought he had a sore throat.
We all go through something similar. I had so many days i was pulling my hair out with Jesse. Its just so hard when they cant talk to you and tell you whats wrong. Just hang in there, there is a light at the end of the tunnel :hugs:
