Im having a mummy meltdown!
Renee,I don't know anything to help but I hope someone that does posts soon.
I'm not sure eitherI hope someone posts soon who can help..
Is there some sort of MCHN number that you can ring for over the phone advice? They might know more - it could just be a normal frustrated reaction because he can't express himself yet.
Mitch could throw a knockout Liverpool Kiss about the same age, maybe younger.
He was frustrated from a very early age due to colic, reflux, pain and lack of sleep.
From memory we tried not to react, held him in a position when burping to avoid being hurt (!)and he grew out of it.
He still sometimes headbutts now, always when he is frustrated.
Sorry I cant really help....
Reneenay, sorry to hear that your little fellow is having such a hard time, all kids go though so many stages and sometimes it`s a huge worry for us. If you look in your phone book under local government their should be places listed to help a 24 hour hot line, here in sydney we have - (Trecillian and Karitarnie), but not sure if you want to make a long distance phone call. There should be someone that can offer you some helpful advice out there, but iam sure it will pass soon enough.-
Hi,
Good advice so far, but just wanted to suggest that it may not be that he has an aggression problem, rather maybe he was just in a mood at the time. I too would guess teething?
By that age babies do start to cry differently depending on what type of upset it is. And you can sorta tell an angry cry from a tired/uncomfortable cry. My DD is around that age and is as easy going as they come but if all points on the 'Tanty Checklist' have been checked off, she's been known to throw a baby wobbly. Like if she's tired, hungry, hot and sticky and I don't attend to her...I've been head butted, kicked hair pulled and scratched on occasions when I can see she's angry and frustrated. Most likely it's a phase and he'll go back to being your sweet little angel in no time.

I have no idea! Maybe he's frustrated? Is he teething? My 9mth old just went thru a biting phase. It didn't last long, maybe this wont either.
Sorry that sounds like a lot of maybes.
GL tho. Interested to hear how it goes.
