MR it sounds like growing pains to me, if it gets really bad at nights I sometimes give my boys some panadol to help them sleep. I still remember how painful my growing pains were.

Jack is a couple of days off turning 3 and last night woke a few times crying. He said his feet hurt and he was wriggling around a lot like you might do with a cramp. This morning when I asked him about it he said it was just one foot and when I asked where he pointed to the bottom of his heel. Any ideas what this could be? He seems fine this morning.

Thanks Amanda. It hasn't happened again yet, but if it does I'll try the panadol.
My sisters boy now 7 used to get very bad 'growing pains' waking at night crying of sore legs and aches and pains etc. I would just use panadol as Amanda said if you think he needs it. If not maybe a heat pack or something similar would help relax his muscles etc.
I hope it was a one off though.
