From around 5- 9 months babies start the universal babbling...mama, dada, bubba, nanna...sounds so gorgeous but they dont start connecting that to people until later. First words normally start around 12 months. Its gorgeous when they first start their cooings sounds though..just lovely. Enjoy it.
