DS's first birthday... I did a tea-party for family. That was maybe £20 for all the food and ingredients.

For presents, I think maybe another £20. He had a cotbed and sheets for that, so we didn't need that. He already had clothes, as I pick them up in sales when I see them. I think I got him maybe a book or two and a nice wooden toy. Oh yes, it was a counting and colours type thing.

I don't go overboard for birthdays/Christmas. Everyone else does. Liebling doesn't need presents from me on his birthday: he needs them in July when no-one bothers getting him gifts! I do gifts all year round when he needs them, just cos there doesn't need to be a reason.
