Ds is off for his first ever sleep over at nanas tonight. I dropped him off early so he can play and have fun before bed!
when I left he seemed happy! But once I got in the car and drove off I started crying! Cried most the way home
This is the first time he has been away form me over night, he has only just satarted to sleep thorugh and need to get him used to it for when nudge comes along in october.
I hope my lil pickle head is ok, I know I need a hug
My boys LOVE sleepovers. They get spoiled rotten, and new toys to play with, new people to shower attention on them.
Try not to worry (you can always call Nan to see how things are going). Think of all the fun stuff you can do, grab takeaway and not have to share, have a long bath with your mummy ears turned off, sleep-in in the morning...enjoy your time!
Thamks girls i knew you would all understand I am actually off to dinner so am really looking forward to getting ready in peace and having some time wiht DH before I head out to meet my girlfriends!
Nanna loves having him and i know they will have a great time! Thanks
Don't worry, we love having our GS for the night.
We are having a break at the moment as I have a DH who need my full attention as he is on crutches. That said I had them yesterday and we had a great time.
Wait until their first day of school. That was the hardest day for me even though I still had one at home.
Enjoy your time out and your sleep in.
Awww boomba!!! I know exactly how you feel. DD had her first sleep over at grandmas house about a month ago, i cried too!! I think we need them more than they need us!
I know what it's like hun. It's hard at the beginning, I was calling every hour lol talk about OTT! But it gets easier and you learn to enjoy the time to yourself.
oh that first night is so hard for us Mums (and Dads) Even now I miss my eldest if he goes for a sleepover.. Last year I went to check on the kids before bed and when I went to his bed and it was empty I cried myself to sleep
They enjoy themselves though and its a nice break for us if we take good advantage of it, take nice long bath.. stay up late and then sleep in.. Do something you wouldn't normally do
To be honest Amber, it doesn't get any better (for me anyway, but I am such a sook). I cried when I put L into his new daycare, cried when I pulled him out of his old one, even when the ILs took him for the weekend I had a little tear when I saw him go off in their car. Its just being a mum. We love our babies that much.
I think it is good for him to stay with other people (not to mention you and DH to get some couple time). As long as he is happy that's the main thing.
