Unhappy I cried most the way home ....

Ds is off for his first ever sleep over at nanas tonight. I dropped him off early so he can play and have fun before bed!

when I left he seemed happy! But once I got in the car and drove off I started crying! Cried most the way home

This is the first time he has been away form me over night, he has only just satarted to sleep thorugh and need to get him used to it for when nudge comes along in october.

I hope my lil pickle head is ok, I know I need a hug

oh that first night is so hard for us Mums (and Dads) Even now I miss my eldest if he goes for a sleepover.. Last year I went to check on the kids before bed and when I went to his bed and it was empty I cried myself to sleep

They enjoy themselves though and its a nice break for us if we take good advantage of it, take nice long bath.. stay up late and then sleep in.. Do something you wouldn't normally do

Tomorrow morning will be here soon enough

My boys LOVE sleepovers. They get spoiled rotten, and new toys to play with, new people to shower attention on them.

Try not to worry (you can always call Nan to see how things are going). Think of all the fun stuff you can do, grab takeaway and not have to share, have a long bath with your mummy ears turned off, sleep-in in the morning...enjoy your time!

I know what it's like hun. It's hard at the beginning, I was calling every hour lol talk about OTT! But it gets easier and you learn to enjoy the time to yourself.
