DS was walking at 9 1/2 months, and hated his pram from day 1 so the day we could let him walk anywhere was awesome! He goes in his pram about once every two months now, but still hates it, so why bother? He enjoys the trolley and LOVES walking (or being carried :shake head. He loves to hold hands so wandering off isn't a problem. I got lots of 'He's so little to be walking!' comments too, but never in a negative way. Ignore them and do what works for you and your LO.
