Noone I know would dare! A cousin once bought DD1 a can of coke, at 5, & I told him to never do it again.
The girls are old enough now though to say they aren't allowed coke.

Maybe just say, don't ever give him coke again. He's a baby & does not need caffeine, sugar & all the other crap in it! How old is she? My 19 year old sister has always stuck by my rules even though she was only 12 when DD1 was born. So have my 16 year old SIL & 13 year old BIL.

Unfortunately, she's 36. With a 14 year old of her own. You would really hope she knew better, but no

As much as you enjoy the breaks, I'd threaten to stop the visits. My sister's done the same thing with our Mum, and Mum stopped doing it straight away! Just say, 'Listen, I've asked nicely quite a few times, but if I can't trust you to respect my parenting wishes when you have my son, I won't be leaving him in your care'.

I know, easy to say from my end Hope it turns out okay darl

I suppose you could insist that she keeps him until the sugar high wears off.

Actually that was a rule I had - if you stir my kids up, YOU cool them down again. Worked for me

    That's what I say too

Maybe if you remind her that she probably wouldn't have liked it if someone undermined her when her child was little. I understand the cutting off your nose to spite your face thing too cos I have the same issue

I would be stern as well, your child your rules, though somedays, actually most days I would love for someone to take at least one of my children for a couple of hours.
