aw sorry Kim I guess I assumed thats what they were. DS gets mild eczema, which I ended up resorting to elocon to treat after everything else failed. However I wuoldn't be advising a steroid as a first option, there may be somthing a lot more gentle that can help. My GF's little girl gets it quite severly at all her joints etc, and a couple of the main things they find helps are to not bath her every day (unless she's dirty obviously) its more like every 3-4 days, and to dress her is 100% cotton everything so that its not overly aggrevated.

Re the cradle cap, DS' was very severe - his head looked like a dired out riverbed. I was told to leave it alone and it would get better, but it didn't so I went the olive oil route and it took a few goes but when it cleared up it was gone for good. Be prepared to leave it on overnight and get some messy sheets though.
