DS has slept in his bassinet/cot in our bedroom since he was born. I've loved having him in the same room as us - hearing him breathing in the middle of the night, and only having to walk a few steps to get him out of his cot for a feed in the middle of the night. However, just recently I've been starting to think about him moving into his own room. DH and I are getting sick of creeping around trying to be as quiet as possible when we go to bed, and we're both missing being able to read in bed, talk in bed, etc.
DS still wakes an average of 2-3 times a night, but I'm also wondering if him sharing a room with us could be causing the waking. I've had a few other mums say their bubs started sleeping through (or waking less) when they moved into their own rooms.
I think my biggest concern is not being able to hear DS as soon as he stirs, and whether the night feeds will be a bit of a pain if he's in his own room.

I guess what I'm wondering is what age did you move your bub into his/her own room? How did bub (and you) adjust? Did you find bub slept any better?
