DD won't be getting hers done til she's much older. I want her to be able to understand that there's a commitment to looking after them, so I'll see when she starts asking and explain it then. DH thinks 13 is a good age, as a growing up and going to high school thing. I think that sounds nice

As for others, their choice. Just because I don't want it for my DD doesn't mean I don't think you should do it for yours. I do think though that both parents should agree.
