...giving birth in the afternoon. Bear with me on this one
I was just reading a few birth stories on another site, and one had a small line in it about how the baby was born in the middle of the day, and the sun was shining through the window, blah blah blah. Then I realised I couldn't even conjure up a mental image of it. The concept of labouring and birthing in the middle of the day, with sun streaming into the room is so foreign to me that I can't even imagine it. Both times I've given birth, I laboured at night (or at least late afternoon, inside with no light) and birthed in the morning.
Not really sure what the point of this was, just wanted to share. What kind of imagery is strange to you in birth, and do you think it will happen to you? I know when I was pregnant with Amelia, the thought of having a live baby was weird, however possible...
