I too had pethadine and lost a whole portion of my birth experience. Thankfully a good friend of mine who was my 2nd support person wrote down notes for me throughout the night. I also had an epidural and a c/section and it was one long drawn out stressful experience. I hope with #2 that I won't need the pethadine or the epidural!!
