I had 2 shots of Pethidine. First one was around 3.00 am. I was close to being 5 cm dilated I think. I then had a second shot at 5.30 am during transition. Cooper was born at 7.18 am and had Apgar scores of 6 and 9. I think Cooper had to have that special injection to counteract the effects of the Pethidine.

I sorta wish I hadn't had it as I don't think it really helped with the pain at all! Made me feel sick but I didn't throw up. Some of my thoughts of the labour aren't really clear but I think some of that is also to do with being nearly 8 months ago!!!
