My milk came in on day 4. My hospital encouraged me to express as much as possible in the lead up to help stimulate it and also because my DS was jaundiced and struggling to attach it meant that I had some colostrum to give him rather than the formula the paed wanted me to give him. Anyway, I do think that the expressing helped to move things along.
