I laboured for a long time and gave it my best shot (and found it very traumatic) but in the end there was no other option, and as far as I was concerned, the main thing is that Jacob arrived safe and sound.

Megan, I think that whether you have a vaginal birth or a caesarean, you need time to recover. Your body goes through quite a lot giving birth either way!
