Both mine were elective c-sections, but I was so much more nervous 2nd time round cause I knew what was ahead of me..

But in a way, that kind of helped. I was so sick after my 1st c-section as well as passing out in theatre, I discussed this with the anathesiest, and he halved the dose of morphine. I was still sick later, but not groggy. I remember all of DS's birth and my time in recovery, whereas I don't remember the 1st day of DD's life. Nothing calmed my fears about the spinal block, but they allowed DH to be with me this time (and all the theatre staff were great too)..

I was also really looking forward to having DD being brought in to be the 1st too see DS and cuddle him (after me and DH of course) when we were back in our room. I found preparing for the good things and being able to have a chance to elimate the bad things from the 1st time round really comforting. And I really did have a much better experience 2nd time round..
