Suse - I'd have thought if it was fungal it wouldn't have gone away on it's own without treating it? GP said the first time it was Hand foot and mouth, which I tend to agree with because he passed it to his cousin. Second time they said 'it's viral', third time I didn't even bother taking him (am I a bad mum??!!) cause I am waiting to speak to his paed about it.

FJ - did the bicard and vinegar thing. Might have to try nappy san for the BG inserts.

Well I have done it. I have laybyed a LS. I am so excited about being able to rinse nappies without leaving the comfort of the A/C

Ness - Only 10 pairs? I have heaps!! I wont count them incase I scare you all considering I cant use them at the moment.

I am finding that the nappies smell worse post wash if the have been in the sealed bucket, but if they are not sealed then they dont stink so bad, but that becomes a bit hard when the bucket is next to the change table and Em sees it.

    WOEB: Baby Kangas Tangerine pocket.

on buy for baby right now, with only three hours to go, are two Dancing bears "Bear Bottoms" night weight pull up covers - no bids yet. so anyone with heavy wetting, long sleeping newbies, these are great. plus being fleece, easy to wash, dry fast. (we have been using them since 7kgs (the medium size), love em. great for braindead days and nights, no closures, just PULL nd UP!

i got to see ONE photo from yesterday's photo session, WOW. And it's bilby in the red minky nappy plus xmas pinnie. i'm just BURSTING to see the rest of them, i know i shouldn't be so darn impatient BUT I AM!!! it's lovely to have somethign to distract me from dh's Tax Return Nightmare that is now My Own Personal Nightmare.

Itti bitti havnig a two for one inserts special.
last days of baby beehinds special
    darlingsdownunder having 10% sale
mother's direct having 24 hour sale (i think 20% off everything except sale items)

WIllow, i got to a point where i stopped using micofibre completely, just got too stinky for us.

Suse - sounds like the only thing Euan HASN"T had for teeth, would be Kryptonite! wow, you have been thru EVERYTHING in your efforts to calm the Savage Teething Monster aka Euan.

i have to laugh about the dh's taking photos of double chins etc, i get cross when my mascara (which i hardly ever wear) is all smudged, and dh doesn't tell me about panda eyes. I got a big bit of bubbles mixture in one eye yesterday, won't be surpised if that made for panda eye (on one side - so you must picture a LOPSIDED panda bear). Did you know panda bears were RAINFOREST critters? i thought they were from somewhere COLDER. the things you learn from baby einstein!

dh is ferreting about in tax papers, we're still not speaking (except about bilbs). Apparently he DOES have the groupo certificate and superannuation papers for 06/07 TONIGHT - but he told me last night he didn't. Quite happy for me to be under false impression, not sleep, be upset etc. Doesn't worry him, so he doens't get why it would worry me. (!!!!!!!)

he's taking tomorrow off as day without pay (great) to supposedly Do The Tax. In the morning, he's taking his car to be fixed (from latest vandalism attack) leaving it at repairer's (few buses to get home) so he won't have the full day to Do The Tax and i bet, he will blame bilby "i had to play with her" etc, for not Getting it Done. i hope by me saying all this, murphy's law will make the OPPOSITE occur and surprise me and tomorrow night i can say "i was wrong, he got it all done". Please please, Murphy, be on my side! i will be soooooo good.

bilby poured half a bubble mixture bottle on her shirt this morning at the speech therapist's room, i don't think that wash load will need any more bubbles.

do many people on here use the soapnuts to wash MCN? are you impressed?

wotbb: dragonfly magik ai2 night nappy with only the sleeveless cotton sleeping bag cos it's a bit "close".

how are the brissy gals coping?

apparently some Vic people got nasty weather too.

    where is Falguni?

You kinda answered yourself Gigi! Their net's out due to lightning I think. Hopefully she'll be back soon!

Hey, just thinking, if you were travelling, say overseas, and not around washing facilities, but couldn't really use sposies, what would you use? Got friends doing this, and I'm thinking that pocket's sound like a good option? Pockets with trifolds? I know NC has a section on this issue, just curious to know what you think.

I've satrted using soapnuts a couple of weeks ago. Am still in the evaluation stage. I couldn't handle the smell of my laundry detergent anymore, so the soapnuts were a welcome change... am using a couple of drops of rose geranium oil on the bag to scent my washing.
i hate the way the soapnuts smell before oyu put them in the wash. kinda vinegary. but the laundry smells ok. and seems pretty clean...
my mum is also trialling them in germany atm. she said they're great for normal lods, but really soiled/stained stuff doesn't work. her normal detergent does, though. so she does everyday stuff in them, but jackets and things that tend to get dirty and you don't wash so often, she uses normal detergent on.
Oh and she also washes the gowns, etc. for my dad's surgical practice. she doesn't use soapnuts on those for hygienic reasons. she tried one load though and blodd stains didn't come out.

i hope your dh will get his tax sorted. i have my fingers crossed!

lol at him not pointing out panda eyes. you know what, he probably doesn't even notice. it's amazing what my dh can ignore...
