one of the elastics has gone in my BG and its only 2 or 3 mths old , i will be getting it replaced before i decide to to put them on B4B as they are size large and dont use them now DS is in undies !!

i checked out the sale , so happy i didnt get any thing as i prefer rolled leg casings and from what i saw none of the nappies there have it.. or do baby kang gas have them ???

Tan - if you were to ask me what nappies i like best , hands down its a fitted and a cover !! were all different

Well DH & I went out for dinner last night, left kiddie winks with nanny goat...got home..Jack had been bathed (she had been dying to do just that) older 2 bathed and Jack had an IB on..(i got home and was laughing soo hard at how she had done it up..i had tears) i did take a piccie...she didn't do ALL the snaps up only one on each side..so wing droop BIG time..BUT she did put an IB on him & there was 1 sposies in the bag...

for nanny goat!!!! My mum had about 6 pre-stuffed pockets or AIO ready to go this morning when J man got up (yes I got a lie-in so shouldn't complain!) and she chose a sposie coz it was easier..... I have shown her ALL of my nappies a number of times and I pre-stuff them to make it easier for me too but ah well.

Missy Mel - I wasn't arguing in another thread, just disagreeing, We all have different opinions

I too hate it when you change them and they poo immediately, even in day nappies.

I have been very naughty these past few days. Thank goodness I am the one that checks the bank statements and not DH!! I got a heap of little nappies and a couple of new wetbags. I got mainly blue and neutral colours, coz a girl can wear blue with a pink top. DH will kill me if I put a boy in pink

I really should go an LS that nappy Em had on earlier. Hmmm Energy?

Nana, dunnno if this is worth a go, but we use heaps of velcro with our horse rugs and bandages and what gets fluff and hair out of the hook (rough) side is one of those paddle style dog brushes. The ones that have the really fine wire teeth. (they sort of look like a 'bed of nails' type thing??) just run it through lightly so it doesnt catch on your stitching. Failing that, try a comb, but use the end with the teeth close together...... HTH

Maz - I'm another one who agrees with you on the BumGs (I can understand why you don't like them though - seeing that you are the one who fixes them all). If I had my time all over again I would use GKs as my one size pockets instead (which is what I nearly did ). They may be a good workhorse nappy (if the elastic doesn't go), but they do look like crap after a while. My other nappies are in brilliant condition compared to the BumGs, which are not the prettiest of nappies to begin with (a negative plus when he wears nothing but nappies). I save my BumGs for when E is wearing clothes LOL.

Missy Mel - congrats on Ashton sitting hon! That's awesome! And yeah, the mama pads are very lush, bamboo velour, ooooh nice. Only thing is (and I didn't even think about this before I got them), is that they only have the one snap setting, and I wear boy leg undies which have a very wide crotch. The snap doesn't do up without bunching up the crotch of the undies. So I might have to start wearing bikini style undies which have a narrower crotch. The whole mama pad world is just as complicated as the MCN world I am discovering.

Actually, while I think about it - does anybody use moon cups? Where do you get them from? I'd really like to try them.

And NaNa - congrats on the inadvertent poo in the potty. E has been pulling his nappies off too (he's now figured out front snaps as well as velcro, but hasn't worked out side snaps yet), but I doubt that if I sat him on a potty he would sit still for more than a second. Sitting still is not his forte. I shudder to think where the poo would end up (the only nappy free time we get around here is in the shower LOL).

Tan - you're one of us now... *cackles evilly*. I like certain nappies for outings too - I have to be very tricky if DP is putting on nappies because he is a 'top of the pile' kinda guy. Although he usually asks if I want anything special on him.

Gigi - I geddit now about your finger. You probably expressed yourself fine hon - I misunderstood, which is not hard after the amount of sleep I've had recently. Suffering from fuzzy brain syndrome I am. I thought that it might have reopened again and you needed to have it stitched again. It sounds like you did a really nasty job of it sweetheart, bad cuts like that do take a while to feel properly healed. Is there nerve damage?

Oh, and congratulations to Teddy on some excellent weeing achievements He is a very clever bear.

Thank you to all who said how cute E is in his Auriel. He's going to be a total spunk one day. Actually, who am I kidding, he's a total spunk now. Is it wrong to think that your baby son is a bit of alright?

I am so knackered, he was up four times last night, which doesn't sound too bad except that he didn't go down until half midnight and was up at eight, and took on average half an hour to get back down each time, so out of the seven and a half hours he was actually only 'asleep' for five of those, in one and a half hour stretches. It's just crazy. I can't remember the last time I had a decent night's sleep, it was months ago. He's completely passed out now though, we had mum's group at the lagoon this morning, so he got to run around in the water, and eat sand, and generally be a menace. I'm loving the Motherease swim nappies (although he hasn't 'tested' one out yet, iykwim). They are a great fit and really quick to dry.

WOHB: Arrrrrgh, it's a pirate. A pirate Auriel that is.

Kitt3n, I get a fair bit of wing droop with the Baby Kangas, but Saram's DH came up with a brilliant way to eliminate that!!!

    To Eliminate Wing Droop
Do the first snap quite loose, miss a snap and do up as tight as you need to. This puts the excess between baby's belly and the snaps which prevents the sides from pulling down.

    Kitt3n, I don't know - I only have one.

FLUFFY MAIL!! It is at the post office so I dont know if it is mine or a friend's order so I will have to go and see when DH gets home. I also have to drop some money off to a BB member and do a Tupperware party tonight!! Busy Busy busy!!

My MooGoo should be here today too!! I got an email yesterday saying it had been sent and they are based in Qld so it should be quick.

Christy - Do your girls react to MooGoo? or have you not tried them with it? I think the only way Em might react is if she was to eat it which would be unlikely.
