Jess - they are deceptive like that - they arent actually that small, just cut that way (they are designed to be low sitting, trim nappies)
I was certain they werent going to fit DD when I first bought them for her, but they fit easily...she is only JUST going in to larges now. So I have no doubt they will fit.
Just keep in mind they are supposed to be low slung, not up around her waist, but lower on her hips almost

Kitt3n - you only need lanolise when they stop repelling moisture - or get smelly - so about 6-8 weeks.

Waiting for my LE itti here...a sneaky purchase lol hope DH doesnt notice...but he will...oops

cgr 's are up ! i scored the babushka!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks for the tips on lanolising girls - but i am more concerned about washing

if they are well lanolised do you ahve to wash it every time or can you just rinse off the poo and let it sun?

Em is becoming very aware of being wet. She had 3 changes overnight, and DH was rather cranky about her making more work for him, but that is why we use cloth, so we don't feel as strained by more changes, cos every change in a sposie is about 50c in the bin.

Gigi - You are still East? If you have moved south I know there are a few montessori and steiner around in the southern burbs. Maybe have a quick google of steiner and montessori in Adelaide. So true about cloth being responsible for early TT. Sarah was under 2.5. Sure she had a few regressions and still wets at night, but she rarely has accidents during the day. We have offered for her to wear knickers at night but she has said that she wants to wear a nappy, and when I asked her if it was because she didn't think she could wake up for the loo she said yes. Maybe when I go back to work I will look into night trainers for her, if she still needs them in 6 months.

I had better check B4B, I put a bid on a LE IB (one that had actually been used) and a twinkle lily. I havent gotten emails from B4B in ages.

Kitt3n - no you need to wash them when they are soiled - every time.
Poo gets into the fibres etc so simply rinsing them wont actually get rid of all the soiling.

PB CGR's are just CGR's no expansion as far as I can tell

Ecobubs have been ordered yay!!! Can't wait to try them! And I ordered some supersoft baby legs too. Can't wait for those.

ENABLERS....!!! I think I will have to get some IB's. I have resisted because I didn't think they would fit but it seems like from the talk in here, they will. I will check them out at the baby expo coming up. Can't wait for that, Im helping out at the Cushie Tushie stand.

Well, I got my ebay nappies- some cheap as terry fitteds for my 'backup' nappies - but think they would prob be good for newborns too as tho not very absorbant they fit nicely on my bubba and my Ebay PUL all in 1's, which are obviously made for more chubby bubs as velcro really needs to overlap but there's no provision for it to overlap and stick on top of the other velcro tab IYKWIM, but they are really absorbant so am happy with my Ebay nappies (for cheapies to keep my stack up)

More exciting however - I got my Maz pale rainbow cover and I am in love with it, it fits DD beautifully and is so prrrty, put a smile right on my face.

Should have a nice few CT's coming this week , and some Baby beehind essentials altho they say taking 3-4 days to process order so maybe not till next week.

    in love. lots of it.

Maz - don't worry hun, my mail box was chockers today! And no bills either, so it's all good. No fluff, but still all good!

Gigi - I'd be gloating about how well Bilby's doing with TTing and how it's SO much easier because of having used MCN. In fact, I'd be rubbing it in... but that's just me!

GF NN went great last night for DS! Absolutely luvvly, tho DS managed to pull it off as soon as I got it on him, and it's got snaps... but they're not side snaps. He hasn't figured them out yet. He better not, or I'll have to staple his nappies on!

WOAB: nuffing. singing in the bath this time! soon to be a NBC sposie tho... nothing's drying in time.

    nice work BG!
    What did you get?
washing machine - Fisher Paykel 8kg Aquasmart
    Dryer - Westinghouse 5kg

we looked at a few dryers (been wanting washer for ages) but decided value for money (seeing it won't be used lots) the westinghouse won hands down

they were both on sale til Sunday, but cos it was cash, they knocked $100 off each, and then added an additional year of warranty to each for nothing ($89 saved on washer, $39 on dryer) - i was so impressed with their service! they will deliver tomorrow morning - and we're paying the same in delivery now as what we did three years back!

lucky DH has the job of cleaning out the laundry ready now though - i think i'll be going to bed alone tonight while he keeps working... i love that he just does stuff like that - he refused to do it earlier cos i went for a nana nap and he didn't want to be clunking around where he might disturb me!

next batch of washing nappies will be in the new machine - woot!
