MissyMoo...Cushie Tushies are awesome, you will LOVE them!!

My grandma is almost finished knitting a pair of longies for Jack...wooohoooo, can't wait!! Will just have to buy some Lanolin.

No fluffy mail news here..still have to pay off my layby at Mel's and one at Fluffybubs.

Did a bit of clothes shopping today for Jack, a few people gave money for Jack's birthday as they didn't know what sizes to buy...I so wanted to buy fluff with it, LOL...but he did really need winter clothes.

WOJB...MandyMac PN NN with WAHM fleece cover.

I got some fluff mail too, my first delivery from the new secondhand trading site

Speaking of all things wool - I lanolised my shorties the other week, put a pair on River and he leaked through. Could they not be lanolised enough? It could have been that the leg holes were a tad loose and he just aimed right haha Ive been too scared to use them again (cause my washing pile is huge as it is, no need for more wee'd on clothes) so they are just sitting there gathering dust.

ETA - just a heads up, there is a nappy for sale on B4B (Sugarshots brand) with the duck/"Master o the high sea's" embroidery on it. I know some in here wanted to nab the Widdlewuns one I hyena'd. Just in case someone's interested.

oh you ladies, i love this thread .

Where else could a newbie get all this wonderful information.

I have put a new swim nappy on layby with Mel along with other fluff.
Lachlan has swimming lessons every week and man the swim nappy they sell at the swimming pool sucks big time, the press studs already don't stay done up and Ive only used it half a dozen times.

Looking forward to Maz stocking and the opening of ticklefish tots...
off to check out this nappy site you have mentioned

    Hi girls,

Nothing really nappy related here today just feeling very sorry for myself being without DH. I know I shouldn't complain its only 2 weeks and if it were just me I think I'd love it but now I have Emily its harder esp when she seems to know he's gone and is being a little punk!

Oh well maybe I need a fluffy fix to make me feel better any suggestions?

    ooh, i inspired someone!!!!

i'm having a good fluffy day! DH misplaced some MCN's that got delivered the other day (well, not really, he packed them away without telling me so i had no idea where they were) - and, well, months ago, rayray dropped off some kissaluvs for me and i dropped them "somewhere" on my way out the door to the market and couldn't find!!! well, i have had the nesting urge kick in HUGELY this morning and decided i just HAD to find these kissaluvs. well, i have now sorted paperwork and stuff to the point where DH will be burning a heap of stuff this arvo (two or three huge boxes full), have sorted older kids toys into toy boxes for visitors, packed away a heap of stuff that needed to find homes, dragged out the portable dvd player and started charging it ready to go into hospital if i need it... AND i found the kissaluvs!!! woot! stupid thing is, i remember putting them in the vague area they were found, but i just don't know why i couldn't find them for ummmm two months!!!

have done some more prewashing this morning and, after lunch will be hanging them out to dry... and on top of all this, i'm copying the National Geo documentary "in the womb" for alan and a couple of others that have asked!

nesting nesting nesting... one more pile of crap in the lounge to sort, then i might start cracking the whip on DH to sort out the stuff in Gremlins wardrobe so we can put the new rail in there and hang all her clothes up...

i couldn't get onto Belly belly all yesterday, site just woudln't come up for me on the browser.

here;s what i would have posted (from the night before when dh turned th einternet connection off on me too early!)

and Jess - bilby didn't have a first birthday party - she survived. i felt better by her 2nd birthday, to have one then. i found it stressful cause i had to organise all by myself at another location, in hot weather, with a small car. we have one relative so it's not like "gran and aunties will help" etc.

    so here's the post
Willow - the new bum geniuses have a 12 month warranty. They use better aplix, they use better elastic, and if anythign goes wrong within 12 months, you use your warranty. so i wouldn't let the old versions put you off (unless the fit is all wrong e.g crotch too wide).

    Pretty Butterfly
not sure how old your bub is, but i laid down, on my bed where i put bubs, a mattress protector mat, and that copped my leaking milk, her possets etc, and kept the sheets clean. Easier to wash the mat than remake the bed. It worked really well, until she could walk, but by then, she wasn't doing possets.

the mattress protector mats have waterproof bottoms (which towels don't). i got a Swaddlebees one, swear by them. Also good nappy free time mats too.

to make your own mattress protector mat, you need:

one layer of something waterproof e.g PUL, felted woollen blanket
one layer of something absorbent e.g microfibre, sherpa, hemp, bamboo, old bath towel
one layer of something soft to lie on e.g microfleece

so get those three layers cut out, assemble it like a sandwich, in the order i put, then overlock all the way around - you're done!

make it the size you like, i'd suggest maybe one metre square?

Not everyone wants or needs one of these mats, but if you do, that is a cheap way to do it.

    TERU
    narrow crotch fitteds?

    whizz kidz OSFA
    cute tooshies OSFM
swaddlebees fitted pockets (organic velour inner and outer)
    daisy doodles
    very baby
    itti bitti boos
    dragonflymagik fitted bamboo velours
    caterpillar cuties

wotbb: blueberry trainer - see how boring it is once they are out of mcn!!!!

im still waiting to get to play with some fluff. I've sorted them and got them organised, packed stuff to take to hossy for going home, and got a nappy bag all packed - i think. Mmm not sure what to put in there.

Other than that not a lot happening.
Hey from what age will babylegs fit or does it depends on how big/chucnky bubs legs are?

ooh, forgot to mention - after reading some comments on here, and not sure what Gremlin will or wont react to, i grabbed some silk liners with another order i put in - i figure if she seems to react to something, i can try that... hopefully it won't be an issue though...
