    Hi ladies,

I introduced myself on this thread a few weeks ago and then my computer promptly went on the fritz! But I'm back on line now! Just to refresh - I use mainly pocket nappies on my almost 7mo old daughter - green kids and bumgenius. I have a few other pocket brands as well as a few baby beehind fitteds and some itti bitti snap ins.

I just spent a week in Cairns and used disposals and hated it - they smell so much more then cloth!

    Cheers

Liz - I spray the pockets with the inserts in them. Then I dump it all in the bucket, and take the inserts out just before putting in the washing machine.

Welcome back to the thread Dollyroux

    Hey MLM

I've also noticed your horse avy! Yea! So you're like me - wasn't wasting enough money on horses so you thought you'd have a baby too? :P

And am I doing this right
    WOEB: Greenkids ?

We're off to story time this morning - thank god we had our poonami yesterday, means we should miss it today whilst out and about!

WB Maz! you have been missed hunny!

not a lot happening here nappy wise - bought a couple more iish fly fitzalls the other day - they are so cute (pink cord with puppy on the bum, blue cord with the same) - i wasn't going to buy more, but DD wears her iish fly's all the time. can't seem to get the cushies to fit her properly yet...

WOEB - a flat and MAL Jaffa cover - she's not long out of bed - changed her and fed her thinking she'd crash again - no chance!

welcome back from your holiday maz!

So used my 8 cloths yesterday (still trying to decide which brand i like best and i'm not allowed to spend too much money til we get loan pre approval cleared), was a bad idea because was a baby non-poo day and we had a seeping mess at 7am because was in a sposie. bring on the hot weather so i can get nappies dried overnight.

Swinging towards a bulk of ct because they seem to dry uber quick compared to the bbh aio (3 days of swearing at them on the line till they dried), fit her fantastic and have managed to contain the power poos! *sigh* have to wait til mid oct tho. Maybe if i discreetly order a few at a time?

Making an offer on the lovely house that my partner and i love today so cross fingers for me please!

    WOCB: ******* sposie *sigh*

    Mazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz - you're back!!!!

    I've missed ya

Charlotte's mum - fingers crossed for you - we are awaiting the purchaser of our property getting their pest and building done tomorrow, so we need fingers crossed that that all goes through ok because paying rent and the mortgage payments on the one wage is killing us!!!!!!

    Hi BG

Will be getting more DM's soon .. yayyy... luuurve my side snappers. I'd be happy to give everything else away, and just use my side snappers, and my fitteds and motherease covers!! Ahhhh if only I knew this when I was purchasing stuff huh....

WOTB's: Both in blue BumG's - I like to match them when I can Dunno how I'll do that with a third....

Good luck Arimeh! Fingers crossed all goes well!

Yes rent and mortgage would be a PITA to do on one wage.

Well we have the benifit of the property being part of a divorce settlement and it's been listed over a month and vacant for 4 but apparently the guy is a bit of a tight wad because he is advertising for 30k over what the property is worth. Realtor is a sweety (still don't trust him but it helps) and is recommending all the checks which we'd do regardless. Funny thing is that if we get the house, my partner will have to do the settlement whilst I'm in melb as it'd be Nov and I won't be getting into it til Jan! At least my partner is productive about things and doesn't take the ostrich approach. I'll be getting back to Kal with a new house and all the utilities set up :P Lucky we don't have any furniture to move as we're in a fully furnished rental place!

Safety Vest Orange CT dry YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! a cloth bummed baby next bum change.

maybe the first will be out of nappies by then for you....

blurgh - agreed to go to mum's for dinner tonight and feeling really unwell at the moment - not sure what the go is - it's driving me nuts! as much as him having no job sucks, i'm glad DH is home today!

WOEB - same as before - DH checked and she hadn't wet yet... he is on nappy duty until she does a poop - she hasn't for ummmm 3.5 days now... it's not gonna be pretty

Bwahahahahaha!!! Surely you must be joking I'm not going to start until at least summer time cos its just too darn cold here still - it says its currently 15 degrees, but its overcast (although I can see a bit of blue sky poking through the clouds) and its chilly!!! So I'll muddle my way through until about January (when he turns 3) and then get stuck into it.

    Hi all

Been a long time since I posted. But we are still fully cloth bummed here and I now have the swing of washing and getting them dry. I also have grown my stash so I only have to wash every 1.5-2 days which has been handy with all the appointments we have at the moment. But Grace is starting to grow out of her smalls, so on the hunt now for mediums!

WB Maz - Glad you had a good time, and I am totally in love with your breastpads. Soo much more comfy than others I have.

Mel - hope the tassie weather is being nice to you today.

BG - I'm also having trouble with cushies at the moment, I keep getting serious wing droop

    Dollyroux - welcome back

Liz - Glad the baptism went well. Blake looks just fantastic.

Welcome back Mazzie, bumma we didnt catch up but at least you had a good time. U left just in time. We have a dust storm to rival sydney today and we have bushfires to boot. Things like that are so much more stressful when there is a babys health to worry about too arnt they?
Dolly, yer, put the horse out on agistment cause I couldnt be assed looking after it, and redirected my spending impulsed into nappies. Jury is still out on which costs more. What sort of beastie you own?
Ummmm, Arimeh, wouldnt the obvious solution be to go and buy more nappies? I swear to god, if I ever have another one, its a whole new stash for me. YAAAYYYY, nappy buying
BG, sorry to hear of Mr BG's job, hope you dont have to go back to work too soon.

    Hi Bimboo and MLM

I have one neglected grey tb mare - Rosie and a 6 year old terror/mini name Imogen - 'Immi". I've yet to get back on the horse as I broke my tailbone during birth and it's still playing up - soon though hopefully!

Sorry everyone else - will try not to hijack the thread to much with neddy talk!

    Oh yay, Horsie folk .
Dunno why I am so excited tho, I am a saddler so its not like I dont get enough horse chat in my day but still, is nice to meet kindred spirits (not just of the cloth variety)
I have a palomino Q/H X that I sporadically beat into shape and flog round an arena, but not so much these days.
Anyhoo, nappy talk. Have sold a bunch of mine and am going to order 7 from GF as soon as lil man grows out of his ittis. I am going to get all embriodered ones so that he always has flash nappies. They seem to hold their resale fairly well so i can justify it.
Thank god for clothes horses, all my washing stayed inside today, went out to the post office this arvo and if I didnt have a temp gauge in my car, I would have sworn I was driving through snowy white-out conditions. Its eerie...
    Hope everyone else is well......
