    Morning all

So so tired. The kids are playing with the clean nappies on the couch at the moment, if only I could teach them to put them together and put them away for me.. haha!! Aricyn probably would be able to do it actually

Arghh gotta go, he's terrorising her again. I hate this new stage he is going through.

BG - glad Emerald has 'been' bet she is much much happier! sorry about to hear about your DH's job though hope he finds something really soon!

Susie sleepy but thiscold has madeher extra windy so taeslonger till she can go to bed. shes been crying almost nonstop for an hour so gave her panadol and that seems to have helped...she was prob achy too poor love. vicks on her feet seemed to help. she only coughed once during the night which woke us but not her! desperate for sleep myself, 11 4 and 6:30-7:30 wasnt enough!

Eluned - woohoo way to go I still dont understand why ppl wouldnt want to go cloth, doesnt really make that much work! I dunno if Im super sensitive or something, but twice I've been around a bub who wee'd in a sposie and I nearly wass sick from the smell! I love my cloth!!

    Morning all

Welcome Eluned & Daintree Dream. I'm pretty new here too to so watch my posts for the silly newbie questions!

BG glad that Emerald has things in motion now. We are having poop dramas with DS Will too. He's actually backed up quite badly poor little guy. The sugar & water trick works for us as a last resort. He tries so hard and nothin happens we're just trying to get extra water into him during the day cos his poos are starting to form, they're not runny IYKWIM?

Gigi - haven't contemplated a little squirt as yet, I'm still yet to convince myself that its a necessary purchase but seems like lots that use MCN have one, so I might need to cave. I can't wait to see how the Whizz Kidz fit. Have you used their night nappies at all?

Well my nappies dried outside in record time yesterday, thanks to the glimpse of sunshine we got. Back to a week of bone chilling winds though so inside in front of the heater i think

And I thought I'd give a big clap to my DP - i was showing him the fluff on Sat when I put it on Will's butt for the first time, and he was asking Q's like "how much does a box of sposies cost?" and then "how much does one of the fluffies cost?" and smart boy (thats why I luff him so much) says well, one MCN pays for itself pretty quickly then doesn't it. So now he can't whine when I buy more fluff AHAHAHAHAHAHA.

    Happy birthday to Jack!

Thanks for the welcome everyone .

Gigi, I didn't get the chance to nest with DD so I think I am in overdrive this time, I am so excited.

Matilda has been full time cloth since she came home from hospital so I know all of the ins and outs, just never had a newborn in fluff so that is all new to me, but I am sure it isn't to different, we just had the pleasure of going to AIO's and pockets and missed the pre-fold and flats stage...

rhyb, the only covers I use are Maz's (I have other but I can't go back after using Maz's, they are backups now), I believe that she is having a stocking some time in October, I am lucky enough to have placed a custom order with her and have some beautiful matching 'big sister' 'little sister' covers coming can't wait!
Alot of people love the Motherease Riki covers also, I have not used them personally but I know they are highly recommended for newborns.

    Hi everyone

Well my camping with MCN worked really well. We were staying at a reserve with no water, power or toilets so it made things interesting but it was so nice not to have sposies with us but to know I was being environmentally friendly in such a environment! No poops for a few days so now just waiting for the poosplosion...

Elund - great to hear the part time cloth is going well. Fluffy mail is so exciting, I have an IB coming and three fuzibuns... first time to try them so should be interesting...

Gigi - if you want a nappy making day, feel free to come over one day and have a go with me. I'm still learning but love spending time in my sewing room.. could be fun! I just got my snap machine so you can play wit that too!

ok, smelly bum... be back later!

DD/RHYB, you are a pop in fans aren't you? Dont forget you have them to use as covers....

Arimeh, torture eh? Heres to hoping that soon she will be big enough to give some back...

Kat, Happy Birthday to your Lil Jack in the Box, hope you all have a great day.

GIGI, you should sooo go into making cloth nappies, with your knowlege and passion, you would be awesome. Being a WAHM rocks too.

Big hoping that my nappies arrive today, 'spose I had better get to thinking what we are taking to Melbourne this weekend

OI, ALL YOU MELBOURNIANS, whats the chance you are going to turn on some 1/2 decent weather this weekend? I need to know what to pack, shorts or snowsuit?

WOLB, 30 cents worth of sposie at nannas today....

Not liking your chances of having half decent weather down here... just looked at the weather channel for my local temp and next Sat/Sun it says 14 degrees and a few showers, yuk! that means about 16 in the city.

I do have a few pop-ins, I mostly use covers at night so I don't need many for DD plus I am a bit of a matching freak, poor DH tries to help but if he even puts a older itti booster in a new itti nappy I freak out and have to change it, everything has its partner .

rhyb - DD is 4.5months and still using some of her NB MAL covers

    Happy birthday young Jack!

ummmm, brain too friend for other persies!

DD is still sleeping in our bed - she has woken twice for feed and nappy change but wanted to go straight back to sleep - not fighting it - she has been a bit restless last few days (for good reason). DH has been working as a temp, so was only really out of work for 10 days thankfully. the money is ccrap, and i get left at home with no car, but we're surviving which is important to us. he has an interview this arvo for a FT position. i guess everything happens for a reason...

WOEB - ummmm, MAL flat and MAL white dot minky cover i think

    HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY JACK

Nothing to report on the fluffy front here.

I found out how my DP cleaned the house while I was in hospital yesterday (at least he tried). So I open up the spare cupboard because for once needed something out of it and all of the pre/post baby clothes i was sorting out prior to my prompt, early hospital admission buried me. So even if my fluff does arrive today pre washing is off the list because 2 baskets of stale smelling pre-pregnancy but will now fit me washing to do. On the bright side I have more clothes!

BG- to your DH with job interview this arvo. sending warm and fuzzies your way via cyber space.

Daintree Dream- i would love 2 coordinated little fluffy bums, how gorgeous. still contemplating ttc a sibling but not sure on the timing we want

MLM- already started packing for my melb trip and have packed summer AND heavy winter stuff. I know after living there 20 years, never trust the weather man. If he says fine and 30 take a jacket and umbrella out with ya

Lollybaby-you have a smart DP! See my earlier post on what mine does.

Arimeh-i will one day teach my little one how to put her nappies together i reckon I've already taught her to lift her legs up when I put a clean nappy on or wipe her bum so i have a glimmer of hope.

JwithJ- my mum and little sister offered to go to the melb expo for me but I know they already have 3 tonnes of clothes for Charlie I have to bring back after my visit so it'd prolly work out more expensive if I bought them at the expo I love them for it though!

Eluned-Part time MCN users generally converted. I am still part time but HANGING to fill up my fluffy stash to full time capacity. Little one does seem perkier with a cloth butt!

Definitely torture - he jumps on her back and she crashes to the ground and the bugger just sits there and won't let her up. Or he pulls at her clothes so she falls over. Or slaps her. He's such a mean brother. She's learning though - she's going for the big rugby tackles at the moment, he just thinks its funny. Hmmm he won't when he's old enough for it to hurt his nuts!!!

Rhyb - I used motherease rikki with miss m and she was in the newborn till around.. 4months I think, then we went straight into mediums. She is only now (at 14 months) getting too big for the mediums.
