Natural planning books will tell you 3-5 days but with big DD I only had sex once and at the end of AF and got preg, so that was close to 7-8 days out, I did'nt thinkit was possible but my OB said he has heard of stories 10 days out!!!!congrats to that super duper spermulator.

WoW! Blackduckies... that is amazing. If you don't mind me asking - so would the baby been conceived with a new egg after AF finished? Which would have resulted in you O'ing early? I'm a bit naive, but hold onto miracle stories

Lilias I hope you don't mind me saying this but it sounds like you need to have a good chat with your DP about whether or not the snip is the right move for you both. If you are not pregnant just now then it would be terribly sad if he went and had the op without you fully being happy about the end of your childbearing years.

Traveller, no I don't mind you saying that DH and I need to have a chat. It is true and it's something I have thought after this pg thing has come up. Thankyou for being brave enough to suggest it!
I'm still really torn personally between wether or not I want to have another. Not just because dh doesn't want another bub, well most because of that I think, but I also have my own reasons. My kids are getting bigger now and things are getting so much easier in the last 3-4months. I had a bit of a tough time of it with two kids under 2. Both of them didn't sleep well, even now I'm still up at least 2 times a night....last night it was about 4 times to one or the other. DH is very supportive and a great daddy though. I am very lucky in that respect.
I guess I am just getting my hopes up though today I am more leaning towards trying not to! I so don't know what I want. I've been thinking baby names and stuff like that already....my gosh I don't even honestly think I am pg!
I think if DH was all for having another bub I would be too, but because he has been so against it, I have been looking at the positive of having two and the negatives of have three. But when I said there was a reasonable chance I could be pg, he was pretty unfased about it. I voiced my concerns that we had nothing for another baby since I had donated it all and he just said we'd cope. So maybe he's not so against having another.
Alot of his reasoning for not having another are financial-new car, bigger house, all new baby stuff, me not working and if I did, another child in chidlcare (which would be pointless as my WHOLE wage probably wouldn't cover it all!) and just the added financial burden of another bub. Plus he really hates the young baby stage. But they are young babies for such little time.....arrrrggghhhh, I'm going to send myself crazy, lol!!! Maybe I should just wait and see if I am actully UTD!
Sorry for the rant, just trying to get my head around it!

Charliebrown, i really don't know how it happened,but I know it was only the once as my partner went away for the rest of the cycle on a training camp??? Back then I had a tregular 28 day cycle,but I guess things can change easily.
Lilias, like you say they are babies for such a short amount of time, but I was in shock and had huge doubts this time because we are out of that baby stage and we had planned the vas, but used to the idea now.. if you think you really want to throw caution to the wind, tell DH he might just surprise you with what he thinks??

Hugs kel.... I have calculated that af should be due roughly from tomorrow til saturday... pretty big guestimation! I think you would have a chance of being utd with your first shag!!!! Couldnt think of a better word...sorry. Good luck hun either way.

Blackduckies, I am thinking about....propositioning DH, lol! Because he was so blase about me possibly being pg, it makes me think that maybe he's not so against it as he was. But I have to work out if it's what I really want too. Or if I just want a baby, not necessarily another child, kwim?? I'm so confused!
Mel, lol! Yeah, I'm thinking it would have been the first shag that would have done it, hehe!! I think af would be due around Saturday/Sunday cause I usually have a 28/9 day cycle. Maybe we could be belly buddies again, lol!!! Imagine that....
Thinking of buying a pg test to see if it would come up yet. I think I had + tests at this stage with my other pg's......probably should just wait for af! But I'm an impatient girl!

Hard not to test especially when you think you might be!!!! I guess this will be a telltale sign whether you feel relief or dissapointed if AF arrives??
I know what you mean about whether you want just the baby or another child, its a hard call I think??? either way you will feel comfortable with your decision in the end. You get used to the idea of another if it happens, or if you plan it.... and you get used to the idea if you decide not do it.. I have friends who thought they would love another baby and a couple of years on are very glad they did'nt do it, they have their lives to do the things they want, sometimes I have that little green eyed monster emerge when I hear some of what they are doing..but at the same time would'nt change my lot for anything...well except maybe labour????
Good luck either way...for the weekend or when you test, what will be will be.
