Hahaha what until you're up the duff... you'll get cervical mucus then LOL. But not everyone gets CM when ovulating, don't worry. There are other symptoms. Once you know you're body and have charted a month or 2, it will all make so much sense. And you wouldn't have been noticing CM while you've been on the pill, because the pill stops you ovulating!
Personally, when I ovulate this is what I've noticed:
Tender, swollen breasts a couple days before I O
Diarrhea
Lots of CM
Horny (really, really horny haha - guess this is the body's way of telling you to make a baby. I think heaps of people get this - pay attention to when you are really horny during the month and this is probably a really good indicator. It's to do with the hormone that makes you ovulate)
Localised stabbing pain - sharp pain on one side the day I ovulate (obviously with an ovary on either side and normally only one releasing an egg each cycle, that ovary hurts).
I recommend signing up for Fertility Friend (if you Google it, it should be the first link that pops up). All the girls here told me to use it, and once I started charting I got BFP in the second cycle FF sends lessons explaining everything, one every day.
If you are going to chart, you will need a thermometer, preferrably one with double decimal points (ie will display 36.97 and not round it up to 37 degress). If you want to POAS all the time and use ovulator predictor kits to test when you are ovulating, don't buy them from the chemist they're a freaking rip. Go to Oracle Fertility and order some bulk packs.
Good luck
