Hoping I can join in here. I just sign up last night, eeeek!

I'm trying to get all the 'pre-season' stuff done today as well as go for a big shop before lunch. I'm looking forward to getting fit and healthy (again!) Hopefully there will be good support to help keep me motivated.

I will read through more of this thread later.
    welcome!

    1.5kg down!! So stoked!

How did everyone go this morning??
    well done!!!

    Welcome Munckin_Mumma
On my way to work so my workout will be tonight, I'm thinking of a 5km walk.
I've got a salad for lunch and water.

The big weigh in: 2.1kg lost
    great job!

Totally forgot to weigh. My other weighs lately have been at night so I guess I'll do it tonight and start doing it in the morning thereafter.

Today's challenge though will be my client lunch!! Going to have a sticky beak at the menu now so I can suss out the healthiest option... and then make the all important decision about whether to have a glass of wine ...
good luck with lunch, theres no way i could go anywhere we i dont cater for myself at the moment, temptation would be to high to go crazy!

weigh in results: 2kg!!! so happy!

I thought I would join in this thread for round 1. this is my 4th round, but I am feeling inspired and completely in the right head space at the moment. I went to the 12wbt workout and finale party in Brisbane on the weekend and had an awesome time with my training group. One of the girls in my group won the top prize after losing 21kg last round. It has definitely given me a kick up the back side. I have lost 18kg since June and would like to lose 12-15kg this round which will have me almost at goal.
I am 2.1kg down this morning. Looking forward to watching everyone's progress over the next 12 weeks

    Thanks for the welcome.

Congrats to everyone who have had a loss this morning
Can I ask those of you who joined up a while ago, when did you do your original weigh in? I am a bit confused as to why we weigh just a few days since starting?
I am down 1.2kg in 24 hours! Can only assume its partly to do with bloating or something like that, wasnt expecting the scales to have changed since yesterday. Happy either way
I'm loving the food so far too!

I don't weigh in until Friday - as I weigh in at the gym and that is my exact time every week, Wednesdays don't work for me so I will update later in the week

Cool, thanks for that. I thought it was strange seeing all these big loses on the facebook page, but obviously it's normal to lose quite a bit when starting out. I find it's a real confidence boost and helps keep me motivated seeing the numbers change so soon

I'm really looking forward to the dinner tonight! I'm hungry now just thinking about it.
I'm finding it hard not eating all the kids leftover scraps like I normally do. Not so much cause I'm hungry, just because I hate the waste. I guess the dogs are going to snacking through the day from now on

Haha I said to DH, I don't think she knows what a tortilla is lol.

I'm losing fast at the moment but I expect it to slow down a fair bit soon. Originally I was aiming to lose 18kg in the 12 weeks, but in preseason I lost 9kg...should I push my goal weight back (my end of year goal was 28kg lost do I could go back another 10kg) or is that too ambitious and maybe leave that goal for another round, and be pleasantly surprised if I do reach it this round?

I would leave it for now, re-assess in week 4, mini-milestone week and next fitness test/measure up.

And re: tortilla / fritatta. To my knowledge it is called a tortilla because spanish tortilla is egg/potato base and a fritatta is always egg based. But i would ordinarily have called it a fritatta too. there was some mention of the name being weird in the comments on the recipe but i didnt read all of it

I would leave it. Don't move your goal posts so early in the game.
If you smash your goal, awesome! But don't change it and put pressure on yourself you don't need to.

I agree with LimeSlice maybe reassess in 3-4 weeks and see how your losses are.
Last preseason Iost 10kg but then it slowed to 1-2kg a week sometimes less the occasional gain

Eating wise I have been great
Fruit and a smoothie for breakfast
    Salad for lunch with water
Lamb koftas with mint yogurt for dinner
    Snacks of grapes
    No junk what so ever

Exercise I'm struggling with motivation, how do you get your bum off the couch to do it when you really can't be bothered, I know my medication is making me feel lethargic but I need to be able to get past that

Just try by starting the videos. They are broken down into intervals, so you can do 10 minutes and stop if you really want to.
Put your runners on and tie them up - will instantly make you feel more energetic! LOL

I was bad today... I am going to have to force myself to weigh today...

Lunch with clients was going to be fine (selected a grilled swordfish with lettuce and fennel and tomato salad) but then they got a plate of antipasto and one of the clients (the one who was hosting and paying) had to take a call, and in the 40 minutes he was out and we were waiting for mains, I had three glasses of plain mineral water... and then ate two bits of marinated artichoke, three olives, two long slices of prosciutto, two slices of rare steak with oil and capers, one slice of bruchetta with pesto tomato and basil, a chunk of parmesan, one piece of bread with oil and balsamic, and a little bit of egg. And then of course I still had my main course. With a glass and a half of shiraz.

I didn't have dessert! And I didn't have the four cheese and pinenut gnocci ... but yeah, I blew it.

I should have eaten a low cal yoghurt before I left, so that I ate less while I was out.

And then my afternoon was so terrible that I came straight home to my family instead of going to the gym.

    Today was bad.

    Tomorrow will be better.

Tomorrow will be better PN! I drooled a little reading that.

Thanks guys, I agree with you. I'd rather smash my goal and anything else is a bonus than feel I've failed because I set the bar way too high.
