    12WBT February 2013

Nice work PZ, off to a flying start, should make it much easier once the challenge actually starts! Must be a good feeling to be below your pre preg weight already I'm almost there, I feel like my tummy is still swollen though, maybe because I had a c section? Is yours still loose IYKWIM? Mine feels flabby and soft still, like an empty sack?! Hard to describe, but I think it will still get smaller while it heals.

Being fitter is a big plus for diving, the gear is very heavy so it can be tiring to carry and gear up, and cardio fitness is important too, you really can't afford to get puffed out underwater, you use more air and it is quite dangerous to get overexerted! In Tassie we dive in thick wetsuits too, mine is 7mm, so you feel a bit like the Michelin man as it is, don't need extra weight making it more awkward!

Looks like we have a good little group happening here already, and still some time left before it all kicks off! I found a Facebook page of people in my area doing the challenge that all exercise together and chat, so I'm looking forward to getting out and about with them once it starts too!

Don't worry about your bet, that jelly feeling is totally normal. It'll get better, still lots of time for your belly to heal. A compression top or tubigrip helps (that's what I'm wearing) and is good support wise for csections too. I have a load of stretched out skin hanging over my pants lol. Non stretchy skin plus two pregnancies in under two years took their toll. But we'll see how it goes over time.

I'm really excited and motivated. I'm glad other BB'ers are doing it too, because I'm going into it with 'friends' already itms?

Im still umming and ahhing lol. DP has already agreed to half do it with me, he'll try the foods with me but wont do the exercise haha. He is a chef so is on his feet for 12-15 hours a day so I can kinda understand why he just wants to relax the little time he is home lol. Does anyone know though, if I fall pregnant while doing it, will I be able to switch over to the pregnancy one? That is kind of holding me back a little, we will be TTC as of tomorrow haha so if I fall preg quick I will need to switch over to the pregnancy one at some point when I cant do so much core exercises itms

you can go under the TTC option, and i'm pretty sure then you'd be able to do the pregancy one if you did fall pregnant, as for the menus while pregnant, even though i didn't say i'm BF'ing or TTC etc. they still give you the "pregnant" food options, as in, replace "x" ingredient, with "y" itms?

BFing and pregnancy for food I believe you just add 500calories a day to what you're eating? The exercise, I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you can tailor it every week so it's different, so you should be able to. I'm starting on the lowest fitness setting lol.

Woo hoo signed up yesterday! Quick question, can anyone see the actual recipe and exercise index? Was hoping to see what kind of things I needed to buy to prepare but there is nothing there. Maybe it's too early?

I'm pretty sure you cant see them until the first week. You'd be in pre-season mode atm

nutrition plans and the exercise index will become available on the thursday before the round offically begins.
they are then released thursday weekly.
one of the preseason tasks is to clean out your pantry and stock it with healthy stuff so that will give you a head start.

Thanks for that, will give the pantry a good clean out today!

I started this weeks challenge today, it's to walk/run/swim/whatever 30km. Took both boys out in the pram this morning and walked 5km. 25km to go! Might even try a swim when DH off work!

Wow. As soon as I saw 30km, honestly, I started making excuses in my head for why I can't. Then I worked out a plan to walk to my local beach and back every morning after I've fed my DD2, with her in the pram. Would work out to 4km, 28km if I do that every morning. So that's what I'll do, plus a but extra to make the 30km. DH starts back at work tomorrow but they're afternoon to evening shifts, so he can be with DD1. I'll aim for between 5.30am - 7am. No excuses!. Eeek!

PZ I take my hat off to you sweetie! 12 months ago I would not have even considered doing the 12wbt with newbie Buster and toddler Moo to look after. You're off to a great start!

One of the challenges (maybe last week?) was to halve your non water drinks...I'm ashamed to say I didn't even attempt it!

That's a lot of walking on my holidays ... but yes, it's doable. I just need to do it

Actually, there's 4kms of definite planned walking for my anniversary thing tomorrow, another potential 3km if we walk rather than tram it, and then if we walk to uni at night that's another 4-5kms round trip depending on whether we wander around it too ...

And hey, if it's true that 15 minutes of energetic pooking is equivalent to a 3km jog, then I'm home and hosed.

    Literally.
