I do the opposite to Sopdet, in that I exercise at night. Im home alone five nights a week. Once the kids go to bed I would eat because I was bored. So I put the girls to bed, give them 20mins to get into a deep sleep, then its me and a dvd, also this round and for future rounds theres two videos available on the website to use too. Also rest day is normally sunday, but I normally have my rest day on tues or wed, thats because dh is home those days. I normally do my super sat session on sundays or mondays, but just because of how my week falls.
I honestly love the program, but its not a magical cure. It works if you are prepared to and want to make changes. I was desperate to get healthy to lose weight and become the best version of me. So I have dont everything in my power to follow the program, to change my lifestyle to make sure that my health comes first. Yes I have fallen off the wagon, but Ive always got straight back on, and Ive learnt from where I went wrong. I dont know how Im going to go on my own, but IM willing to give it a try. Now sugar intake gives me a headache, eating fatty, oily foods makes me sick.
Like Sopdet said the kitchen makeover is scary, but it was nice to throw out all the bad stuff. The mindset pre-season task is the biggest for me, because it makes me think about myself, what my needs, wants, goals are.
Thanks Beans! Its definitely something I will make work, I've been trying for a good 6 months now to get healthier but always fall off the wagon. Luckily this time DP is on board with me, the other times I have tried to eat healthier he has never been into it with me so would go get KFC or something if he didnt want to eat what I cooked. Which when its right under your nose is hard to resist lol. So I am thrilled he has agreed to try everything on the menu with me! He can be a bit annoying sometimes though, as lately I have been craving sweet things and he says things like "you're skinny anyway you can have it, one wont hurt!". Annoys me as if I give in once I fall off the wagon badly, I am addicted to sugar.
And others have said the same when I have made comments on wanting to start being healthier. Its like people dont realise that being skinny does NOT mean I am healthy! I am so unfit I am puffed within 10mins of running around with DS!!! Until our recent changes I binged on bad carbs and ate too much take out. I would eat a whole block of chocolate in one sitting. But because I am skinny already thats alright?! People can be so silly lol
I just went to join the facebook group, and remembered I have changed my password so I cant get on it LOLOL! I spend way too much time on there, so I am forcing myself to step away from it for a month (if I can even last that long lol). Bad timing lol
I exercise at night too. I'm normally at the station by 6.30am!!
I've been dieting / eating healthy / making positive lifestyle choices for 4 days. Have I lost 5kg yet?
I really need to buy a set of scales! LOL
I've just been using the wii. DH has one of those thingies you stand on, and so I made a profile, and just do the body test ... so it weighs me, and then you do two little balance test things and then it tells you your physical age. It's a bit daft - it'll say 19 one day and 37 the next ... but at least the weight is pretty consistent!
Can weigh the kidlets on it too (holding them).
i bought my scales yesterday!
i had a gp appt on tues just to check me over and wow weight was not goodi'm still in double digits but only just

Good point. I can use the ones at the gym again, now that I'm not pregnant!
I've dropped 2kg!!
And done my goal stuff
Huzzah!!
Now is it just me, or is there not anywhere yet to put in your weight, in your profile ??
peanutter - go to my account -> edit my settings -> progress tracker
in the top right - allows you to set up your details including your ticker![]()
Firstly, WAY TO GO NUTTER!!!!![]()
Thank you all for your replies. I had a sick DS at home yesterday so I sat down while he was sleeping and put together a plan of what DH & I have to do together to make this work. I then had a good chat with DH last night and we came to the conclusion that starting this round will in all honesty probably not work. However, we came up with a solution that we are both going to do. This is my last year of uni and my final exams are in September, we are nearly finished the house renos and aim to have them completed by the end of the year, as a 'reward' for passinguni we have booked ourselves a two week holiday in October, which means we will have the spare time needed to rearrange our schedule to allow me to exercise after work come October.
Soooo, I have written on our calendar in big red writing in October when we return from holidays 12WBT. I am looking forward starting it.
I'm the same as you shan, this is the first time that DH has agreed to work with me to achieve my weight loss goal. I've yoyoed with my weight for as long as I can remember and DH has always supported me but never actually worked with me. It will be nice to do this 'together' as such and not be drooling over his fatty, but oh so tempting take away.
I wish all of you the very best for this round and hope you achieve what you set out to achieve. I'll be cheering you all on from the sidelines![]()

Great job PN!!
quick question! i had a Gp appt on Tues just to get the once over before the 12wbt starts in earnest and all was well. my query is i weighed in at 98.2kgand today i weighed myself and weighed 96.2kg - i thought the scales might have been wrong so reset them and got on again and same result. So my question is, it really possible to lose 2kg in 3 days?? i'm guessing most of that would be fluid retention?
Depends on a heap of things, but there are always differences when you weigh in. Different clothes, different scales, different times of day, even differences on what you have eaten and drank. Trust your scales at home, because they are the ones you will be using weekly though. Weigh yourself before you go to the drs next, then see what the difference is perhaps?
Woo Hoo Go PN!!!
It also depend greatly on where you are in your menstrual cycle.
Best and clearest result is first thing in the morning, naked, after your morning wee. But literally roll out of bed and weigh yourself. Weigh in days are usually Wednesday.
yeh weigh in days are Wednesdays on the program
I suppose I better get my scales out again.
