Laranna, I have taken shots too and seriously the photos when I started were bl**dy disgusting, I never realised I was so fat!! So glad 2.8kgs of that is GONE! Won't be seeing that again, EVER. Still very motivated to keep going. Nothing is changing my mind this time. I'm 3.5 weeks in on WW and I am determined.

Amy, yeah don't be too hard on yourself. You'll probably lose double next week. Didn't you lose heaps last week anyway? Like over 2kilos? I can't remember. This week will be different for you, keep going

Hoody, well done on the 1.8kg loss! Yeah!

Nik, good work on 0.8kg loss, a loss is a loss and they say losing a kilo a week is really healthy anyway.

Ali, where are you? What was your loss?

Mum, which low fat ice cream do you have? I have the PETERS 97% FAT FREE one, only 1.5points for a scoop and so yummy!

Amber, congrats on the loss too!

Blackduckies, I have cheap scales from Bunnings, I don't like them much, I really like the glass ones. Might have to pay a visit to BIGW!

Tk, I forgot to wish you a HAPPY BFP! Congrats, I wish you a really healthy and happy pregnancy

I forgot to mention, I lost 3.5cms off bust, hips and waist area

My scales are broken again, dh is going to look into it, but for now, I don't have anything to go by. I went to the local chemist (walked) and it said I put ON weight! So, I don't want to submit that figure. Hopefully dh will have the scales fixed tonight, then I can submit that figure. iykwim.

I lost this week, yay!! On the scales and cm's! Not alot, but it's better than putting on especially since I'm not exercising to be putting on muscle. I was really expecting to have put on after having a pretty bad week, and hardly any exercise.
To make it worse I have had half a bucket of chips, half a maccas frozen coke and an icecream silly woman. We went to the pools and I mindlessly ate the chips not even thinking about what I was doing. I know what I was doing with the coke and icecream though...must change those bad habbits! I'm going to have a tuna salad for dinner and that's it, and do some sit ups and squats, etc (waaay too hot for a walk tonight, plus kidlets will be asleep in about half an hour. Lets see if I can keep the weight off I lost....
Congrats to those of you who have lost too, and to those of you who are putting in the effort! Let's keep going!

I lost 400gm this week, which isnt too bad, because all up that is 1.6kgs in 2 weeks, so I am within my average of 600gm per week. I have to keep telling myself that so long as I keep averaging 600gm pw I will reach my goal in the 12 months I have set myself to do it. However, I did loose like 6 cms off my waist this week and another 2.5cm off my bust, so all my good eating and excercise are paying off

Doing really well with the calorie counting, and finding that I am not really feeling too hungry through the day. Dinner is my biggest challenge as I used to having much bigger portions at dinner time, so I am trying really hard to measure my portions carefully.
I also bought today some choc billabongs today- they are only 80 calories, and I always save 100 calories for an after dinner treat/ dessert for after the kids have gone to bed. I figured that I can satisfy my sweet/ choc cravings while still staying in my calories.

Amy- I agree with the others, 6 small meals is better than just 3. My dietician suggested 300 cal breakfast/ 100 cal morning tea/ 300 cal lunch/ 100 cal arvo tea/ 300 cal dinner/ 100 cal dessert. I have found by eating this way I am satisfied throughout the entire day and never feel hungry.

TK- Congrats on the BFP, what an awesome way to start 2009.

Bindy- You are doing super well, you love WW don't you? I can see you as a future WW group leader, you seem to really know your stuff.

Laranna- Blame it on fluid retention- I always do

I hope everyone is still going strong- I feel super motivated still, which for me is amazing. Something Lucy said really struck a cord for me the other day- something along the lines of "time will pass anyway.....". This really made me realise, that too many times I have started something and given up, and time has passed by and I have been in the same situation (or worse) but it 12 months on, and I am still unhappy about it.
Not this time, this time - I will keep at it, and after 12 months have passed (and I have turned 30) which is going to happen regardless, I am going to be fitter, healthier and happier!

    Well done everyone
I have lost 2kg and 11.5cm yay! I am a slow starter so this is week one for me. The cm's might be a bit out becuase I swear my bust must change about 10cm before and after bf dd.

Going to be a challenging week this week had my step fathers birthday last night luckily it was hot and we had cold meats and salad. The lemon meringue pie for dessert worked in with my ww points for the day so not too bad (the chocolate eclair did not ). I have dinner with friends on friday night but if its still warm ill be happy with a salad. My friends wedding is saturday but im not going to worry to much about what I eat that night, im just going to enjoy it. So this weeks challenge for me is not to gain anything and exercise 4 times this week.

You girls are SO chatty! I think i might have to be a once-a-week poster...lol.

Well last week was terrible! I worked out with weights on Monday and went for a long (about 7km but half with a heavy heavy buggy and up huge hills) walk on Wednesday but i ate a lot of junk all week... I lost NOTHING in weight but i did lose a few cm's off bust (meaningless, they go up and down with water) and hips (less meanngless) so it's not all gloom and doom, but i really feel more motivated to work hard and eat better this week! I lifted weight on Monday and walked about 6km yesterday. Today i'm going to walk to the sorting office to pick up some new running shoes which came in the post yesterday when i was out and i'm in 2 minds about jogging down to get them - need to plot and see how far it is... I'm DETERMINED to lift weight more this week too, since it's my #1 weightloss tool.

I just filled in the forms for a new GP surgery since we've moved house and seeing the "height/weight" bit for the practice nurse to fill out strengthened my resolve!

Ah well - I gained 600g (but given I weighed myself at the end rather than start of the day it is probably just food and fluid "gained"). Good thing is my measurements are static.

Considering I had a wedding to go to this past week as well as only having been to the gym once and eating silly stuff on at least 2 occasions I am happy with my "progress" LOL!

Next week - here I come!

I'm happy I've lost another 600grams so in total I've lost 1.5kg's which I think is great, I lost another 3cms all up and that makes 10cms total in over the two weeks.

For this week I need to get back to drinking more water again, I fell into old ways with drinking coke Zero this week, but I must admit not as much as normal.

    hugs xoxo

Two things I learned last night...

    1. NEVER eat processed, greasy food after two weeks of eating healthy - it upsets your tummy.
    2. NEVER walk too far from a toilet once you have eaten said food - especially don't walk 5km from your house because your digestive system will inevitably want to get rid of said food - QUICK.

I don't think I have ever walked home so fast. In fact - I RAN up the hill.

Amy, what did you eat? Stay away from greasy food!

I was feeling bummed about not losing anything - so I had a moment of "I don't care what I eat tonight"... So I had TWO pieces of KFC chicken...

    NEVER again!!!

Consider me cured of ever eating BAD food again!! It's totally not worth it!

Amy, ah well. It is only two pieces, no biggy really. Good luck for the rest of the week then!

Ahhhhhh had a shocker last week! Lost 200g

I have costochondritis and it flared up (is a part of my arthritis), so I wasn't able to exercise like I'd have liked But I lost cm's, I assume by eating healthy so whatever works lol

Shel said my waist is looking great, and I'm currently wearing size 10 pants... they fit fine around my thigh but they're not done up. I am currently between sizes (constantly pulling up size 12, can't quite do up size 10), wish they had a size 11!!!!!!

Good luck everyone, hope to see some great losses!

Hopefully will be able to keep up with the thread next week.

Me too! DH said I am a machine because it was 42 degrees here yesterday and I was still adament I was going for a walk in the heat. Rain Hail or Shine!!! I felt especially guilty after my KFC mishap so that pushed me even further. Even though I didn't show a loss last week - I am determined to have a big loss this week.

This thread is really motivating - thank you all so so much!!
