ohhh i do not envy you ktgirl; i HATE the beep test with a passion! Hehe. That sure is dedication doing boot camp at 5:30am.

Am loving that saying Turkish! Seriously thinking about typing it out and sticky taping it to the top of my computer screen at work hehe!

Not sure what way im going to go on my weightloss journey. There is a gym opening around the corner from my house which i (and DP) have joined but it doesnt open for 3 weeks!! Playing netball once a week in a social league and cutting out junk food at the moment! As well as walking our two big dogs most nights. Fingers crossed i get some results. Also joined calorie king to document my calorie intake, that should help!! Anyway ... have a great day girls!

I have just finished a 1.5l bottle of water so i am going to go and get another one out of the fridge now and try and get through that during the afternoon.

Awwww CRAPPY CRAP! I just went for an hr and half walk with DS#2 and bought Coconut Slice as I have an old work mate coming over for arvo tea.....what was I thinking! Maybe if I keep talking and just offering her some and pretending Noah is distracting me she wont notice I fed it all to her! lol

Okay off to have my 3rd glass of water and tidy up.

Oooooh I am so excited I did a nice healthy shop yesterday and remembered how good it feels to get walking.

Df has decided to join me too, unfortunately I hate this tiny town and its' lack of facilities and resources but will make do with what we have. Which is a lot of cold weather but I'll rug up bub before we head out tonight for a walk.

I did my measurements last night and just weighed this morning, having a terror day with DS, sorry Trillian will email you soon!

I am a big water drinker normally but the town water here is disgusting and it only tastes 'OKAY' when chilled... and it's difficult drinking chilled water in the current weather. Might have to get a big 15L container again.

A good one for water if you are a worker is to drink a glass every hour... Then you have your eight glasses down before you even get home. Another one I have heard (better for the SAHP) is to set an alarm and let it snooze, everytime it goes off having a drink of water... it's annoying but a good way to get into the habit if you arent already! I just need a pump bottle next to me all the time!

Anyway, I got my wiifit out this morning, not sure if i will start using it again, i think it takes more time than it is worth, but i like the accuracy of the scales as compared with my old conventional ones .

Ok have to dash for now, good luck!

Calorie King is excellent. You actually pay to use this service elsewhere but it is absolutely free on the CK website.

I must admit i had a few rows of chocolate last night as i had a huge craving, but no more anymore.

I'm on Lite n Easy atm and it is great and so easy.

I'll be heading to the gym tonight as i feel really guilty for not going last night. I usually go 4-5 times a week. Somedays i hate going, but when i start working out and the sweat falls, i feel so much better.

I just had about a litre of water since this 8am. I keep a 1.25l Pump bottle on my desk and drink constantly which then = peeing constantly.

I love water....but strangely enough wont drink it when I am sick...go figure!

I keep a big 2L bottle of water on my kitchen bench and try and drink all of it befoe dinner (5/6pm) so then I am not up all night peeing. I hate...loath chilled water. Tooooo cold! lol

Okay, turning puter off so I move more to lose more!

Oh i LOVE roller blading/ Ice skating MelanieKate. Ice skating is a HUGE work out well last time i went it was, maybe it was just coz im a bit unfit hehe. So i imagine it would be a great work out, plus you dont get the sore but from riding a bike...or is that just me?

Loving that little motivational sentence vix, hehe.

Is lite n easy expensive Turkish? Ive always wanted to do something like that but was unsure on realistic costs.

I really want a wii fit cookie, do they give you much of a work out? Or does it just depend on the program you use?

Calorie King is good re water as i finish a glass i mark it up there and it shows you how many you've had so you know where youre at for the day!

right when I get home from Master J's speech Path appointment and after I've done the whole dinner thing I'm going to go for a roller blade to the main road about 5kms away and back again!

Personally I dont think it does, you spend more time in the menus figuring it out...
I think its a good start and the yoga and muscle exercises are good, but aerobically it's not particularly useful.
I love rollerblading I used to all the time, I wish I still had my pair! I have an exercise bike that hasnt been used since we moved here and i really should dust it off and bring it inside.
I spend so much of my day saying i am bored I could just ride the bike all day.. if it weren't for the sore butt!!

I only just managed to jump on as Miss J has been cranky so I hope I'm not too late - just submitted my measurements.

So far this week I went to the gym on Monday, did a walk up to the shops yesterday and a walk today. Will be doing a big walk tomorrow and the gym on Friday. I am not doing too much too soon as DD2 is just 11 weeks old and I amd still BF so need to be very gradual with my exercise increase.

Sounds like we are all pumped and ready to go!

Ali, the water challenge is a great idea. I also struggle to drink water in winter. I try and drink it at room temperature to make it a bit easier.

I did 26 minutes on the cross trainer this morning. I would have gone for at least 30 but DS woke up early! Last night I did an hour pilates class and on Monday night had aikido training. I plan to do the cross trainer on at least 4 days a week.

One of the mums in my playgroup was organising a group PT but she hasn't got around to it so I hope she hurries up! Might have to organise it myself. It looks like my wedding will be in mid-August so I've got to get moving.

I want to lose 8kg and tone up my arms. I know 8kg doesn't sound like much but I'm a shorty and just those few kg will make a difference in my clothes I think. I'm in between sizes and it sucks. Size 10 is too small. Size 12 is too big.

ETA: Cookie - I agree with you about the Wii Fit taking forever to get a workout. You spend half your time switching between menus and waiting for it to tell you your results. So to get a decent 30 minute workout you'd need to be on it for nearly an hour. Although I must say I do like the boxing

Lite n Easy costs about $125 on a full 7 day program (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks).

I get the 7 day breakfast and lunch option as i usually don't eat dinner or will fruit instead. This option is about $82.00

The convenience is fantastic, but it can be a bit expensive in the long term.

melkate... My friend trains the Rabbitohs in Sydney and said...

"Need to get your heart rate UP UP UP for 30min a day" Not just walking.. If you are going for a walk.. run 30 seconds walk 30 seconds.. etc..

And DRINK PLENTY OF WATER 8 glass's a day OR MORE, if you are working out HARD!

Depends if you want fitness or weightloss.

If you want weightloss you need to keep your heartrate low enough that your body is still burning fats. Once you raise it when running etc, you begin to burn glycogen and carbs therefore not burning fats.

I can't remember the exact % of max heartrate but i am pretty sure that it needs to be
    below 65% to burn fat
below 80% for fitness (aerobic exercise)
then 80-90% is to improve your anaerobic system (<1k races)
90-95% is for ATP system (sprints)
& to work out max HR is 220-your age
