Yes Sas when you are sick or post-surgical procedures your body uses fat to fight infection and keep you going, so congratulations! Sounds great. Don't prep yourself for a plateau it's only more likely to happen, positive affirmations girl!!

Aaamy was it you that asked about the Mexican? Yup I love it, mostly because I havent eaten rice in almost 2 years and I have had real cravings for it, has been great it really keeps my body going and going.

at you girls with the string and measures! Isabel is right, at least you are committed. If you both PM me your addresses I will send you a measuring tape (although I say that I will forget to buy them when I go out, part of your problem )

Turkish 500gm is still fantastic. Healthy weight loss is said to be 1% of your body weight per week so if you are almost at the end thats not too dismal. IKWYM about it taking forever though. I remember back when I used to sit at 65kg... I finally got to 60kg and felt great... then started taking the pill and the weight piled on.

I haven't weighed or measured yet. I have been using the Wiifit everyday though so have a fair idea it's not going to be a good one. I lost 500gm at the beginning of the week and then put on 700gms... so I would say it is a gain but I guess we will see. I blame my bad weekend, but we all have slip ups and it just makes us work harder!

Looking forward to seeing the results.

    TMI!!!!

well I've already sent my results in, but I have since done two BIG no.2s... can't help but wonder if I weigh less now!!!!!

Sorry but I just had to share that!

Turkish Delight - go girl using the Wii Fit everyday, that's impressive! I shall have to aspire to that... I'm also with you on weighing everyday . I find sometimes I just have a huge variation for no apparent reason at all - fluid retention I guess . If I only weigh myself once a week it can be very discouraging, but when I weigh most days, I know if I'm heading the right direction or not.

Sas - that's great loss, well done!

cherished1 - lol on the tape measure!!! hahaha!

AmandaJ - congrats on the cm's lost... we can do it!!!

Busy, busy, busy here! I have not had time to log on and keep up with what everyone is doing. Have not read any posts since my last one either. Sorry.

Weigh in for me is tonight.....NOT looking forward to it at all. I went for a big walk last Thursday but nothing since and I have tried really hard to watch my eating. Def have not been nibbling on the kids meals etcas that was my lifestyle change for this week and ever after! I can feel AF gearing up too so my belly is going to be bloated this week. what a week to weigh in! Pfftt...always the next three months. lol

I really need to get my wiifit out and use it. I love it but find it is time consuming to get to the bits I want. Today though I am running around the house - literally - movingthe office back into the lounge room so my youngest can go back intohis own room andstop walking up his big brother! Little monkey....well best get back to it! So much crap...need the big bins emptied today!

Any tips though for loosing the wobble wobble around the belly?????? Surely salad alone aint gonna shift it!

    Go girls!!!

Hmmm, so its the end of week one.....
I can't say i have done much in the way of excercise, once on the excercise bike one morning is all i can really say i have done i think as i didn't get to physie last night as DH didn't get home till just as it was starting. I did think about getting up each morning and did have my alarm set earlier than usual so i could get up whilst DH was getting ready for work and go for a walk but it just didn't happen. Hopefully week 2 will bring the next step of the plan into action- ie. actually getting up when the alarm goes off and doing something.
Food wise, i have stoppped most of my after dinner snacks/treats, I've just had the occassional one here or there.
I guess i should trottle off and do some measurements and send them in........can't say i am expecting too much, although congrats to those of you who have started off with guns blazing and are seeing results already

well i dunno, but I started with WW (a little while ago lol) and i've lost about 4kg. Interestingly my WAIST measurement has barely changed... but my pot belly / jelly belly / spare tyre (whatever you wanna call it ) was going down massively - 8cm down so far. So I figure the salads are helping. Mind you, I'm a "put weight on waist" kinda person too. So for this challenge I'm not measuring my waist, but my tummy since that's the one I really need to get down, and it seems to be changing quickest anyway!

I know they say you can't "spot lose" so to speak, but i'm sure all over weight loss & toning (including around the belly area) has to help!
