What an awesome bunch of women you all are! I look forward to really being able to be my open honest self, and to be accountable to my own decisions.
Today, it's a bit of a miserable day..... Looks like the rain could be setting in, so I don't know about my walk tonight. DP and I had a bit of a fight last night, so I didn't sleep too well. (All is good now though) I might just do some boxing tonight.
I did learn a trick from someone... It sounds weird, but it allows you to get a bit of extra incidental exercise in...
Do this at home - or at a place you feel comfortable - might not be the best for the shopping centres lol but everytime you go to the toilet, use that as a trigger to do 20 standing push up's. I just use the back of the door and if you get the technique right, you really can feel your abs and arms working!
I had big plans to take my two babies for a walk today and told DS2 last night. Wake up this morning to the rain and him on my back every two minutes about this walk mummy promised!!
AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!
Will not let it put me off though I will just do a couple of laps around my local shopping centre and supermarket and then back to the gym tonight
And I love the incidental exercise idea Kimmi. With all the water im drinking at the moment im in the toilet all the time so hopefully I will shift these bingo wings in no time!
Can I just say its so nice to be able to come in here and share with you guys knowing that we are all in the same boat with the same goals. To be hot(ter) smoking MILFs
My DH doesnt even know how much I weigh so its very scary for me to put it out there, but knowing we are here to help each other not judge makes me feel much better about it.
Thank you
Hey ladies sorry ive been a bit MIA. Had some more dramas happen and so felt too crappy to think about my weight.
I've made such an effort dispite all of that. yesterday i walked 2kms to the local shopping centre and got a bus into town then on the way back we deliberately caught a bus that drops us off 1.5kms from our house so we had to walk. I did the same walk today just didnt go into town. Even though its stinking hot i feel good that i did something.
Ive got walking planned with the lovely ~starbright~ on monday and i will be hitting the gym at about 6am for the rest of the week, working out for about an hour. I might include a light walk in the evenings with DD.
I'm also starting a new healthy eating diet. i got the idea from a friend and only 2 weeks in shes lost 3kgs so im rather excited.
Breakfast: special k with lite milk plus a banana. lunch low gi bread roll with chicken and cheese. dinner meat with either vegies or salad (the meat portioned) and snacks 10 almonds for morning tea and a bunch of grapes for afternoon tea. May add other snacks if feel hungry but will drink lots of water.
Am Yay to say that everyday am managing 30 minutes dedicated exercise! It is amazing how much better I feel for being even just that little bit more active.
It has been sooooo stinking hot, but Air Con means no excuses! I am finding it practicallly impossible to do the wii fit when the little fella is up and about, so when he has his morning kip, I can do it. DD copies whatever I am doing, so it is also a fun activity to do together.
You may have noticed I have had a name change (formerly bellabirth).
Just wanted to post to tell you all I love you! Thanks for giving me the courage to post my weight and thanks for helping to motivate me. xx
I weighed myself again this morning and weighed in at 103.8 which was my goal for next Monday (I haven't been particularly good the couple of days so I'm thinking that perhaps I was bloated on Monday when I weighed). I'm re-setting my goal to 103.00..... Fingers crossed!
No exercise for me today - I don't have a/c at home and it is about 10000% humidity here. I'm also back to work today after a couple of weeks off.
Kimmi, that's not good about your day but I am super impressed at you dedication in sticking to the healthy eating!
As for arm exercises, you can do chair dips which are meant to be really great for the tuckshop lady arms. I bought an exercise ball a while ago which came with a chart for all the different exercises that can be adapted for it, this was one of them. You can obviously use a chair instead of the fit ball though... Just google and you'll find instructions.
I also love the incidental exercise idea. I had heard the same idea but with squats so you could even alternate exercises for some variation.
First and foremost my goal is to eat well over the weekend (weekends are always my downfall). My second goal will be 1 hr of exercise over the weekend.
Hey girls. I think its time for me to join this thread. I have a 2 year old and a 10 week old so I think 10 weeks is enough time for me o use the 'I just had a baby' excuse, time to stop finding excuses.
During my pregnancy I got up to 111kgs (was 103kg before pg#2). I was around 70kgs before getting PG with DS1 so put on 30kgs with him. Only put on 8kgs with PG2. When I weighed myself 4 weeks ago I was down to 104.3kgs so only had 1.3kgs to get to pre-preg weight. No idea what I am now so hang on I will run and check...
Oh dear... 108.1kgs...
I think I knew that was coming, I haven't exactly been good the last few weeks. Think I might have had a bit of PND.
Ok so I'm starting today. Have had a cup of tea, 5 biscuits (shame) and a small bowl of cereal.
Day care lady just called and I have to go sign the attendence form (forgot yesterday) and guess what... I don't have the car (DF took it to work) so I guess I'm going to have to dun dun dun... WALK lol 30 mins there and back- with a big hilll lol well it's a good start.
Will report back once dying after the last hill.
Nice to join you ladies. We can do it. When I get to my goal- 68kgs I'm going to go get my belyy button peirced again. I looked damn sexy when it was done before DS1!
I'm not looking forward to weigh in on Monday - been a little too hot here to think about outside exercise and then I ended up getting some relief teaching work and then a teaching contract for Term 1 on Friday so there went the plans for exercise during the day. Although I've found my pedometer again (DS likes to play with it after I get home) so weekdays I'll be wearing that and making sure I get at least 10 000 steps done.
Woo hoo we did our walk. Had to get straight in shower when we got home though- sooo hot outside.
Now munging down on some watermelon.
Question for those with a wii fit- how much did yours cost? I'm thinking seeing as how I'm a bit of an inside person it might be worth getting one that way I can do my excercise in the aircon lol. Besides its my birthday on Wednesday so I might use my birthday money to get it...
