    You're going fabulously Sterla!

That's the way to do it Maz.

Krys, I'm glad you're calf is ok (ish)

I went and had lunch with a friend today, so not terrible eating by any stretch (wholemeal roll with goatscheese, tomato and hummus and a little pate - hmmm) but not totally fantastic either. We're about to walk down to the big markets here tonight so I doubt highly it will be diet food but we have to walk down and back up a big hill, so that's gotta count for something.
Plus Nate's feeding like 5times a day (up from once a few days ago). I have no idea what's going on with him (he won't eat food either) but I'm starving!!!

    Hey all

Sterla - I can definitely tell that you have lost weight - I just keep forgetting to tell you.. haha!!

Are you ready for tonight's work out? Should be a blast.

I went ok-ish today, didn't exactly eat well, but didn't pig out or anything, ate more biscuits than I would like, but can't be too strict all the time!!!! Still eating pretty good, just in moderation, not really that strict.

Better go get ready for gym (since I'm not doing anything else in regards to exercise!!)

    Hello ladies,

Woohoo, everyone sounds like they're doing pretty well!

I have been ok today. Went to sizzlers for lunch with friends. I had soda water or diet papsi to drink and tried to fill my plate with salad and veggies before putting any meat or other stuff on it. I think I did ok. Had lots of veggies and fruit anyway! I had a little ice cream and a bit of creamy potatoes which weren't so great, but I can't be perfect all the time! And I have only had a small dinner. I am going to do some cleaning tonight (sweeping, mopping...) and maybe some situps and stuff again, but no other purposeful exercise. I am feeling really good though. I am not eating at night either. Anything at all after dinner. We usually eat at about 5.30pm-ish and if I am hungry again later I am having a low fat skim milk hot chocolate. Yum! We will go shopping tomorrow and I will get some low fat yoghurts too to have at night.

Awww, thanks Mel - made me smile .

Yes, I am so excited for the gym tonight! It's weird, to think of myself being excited about going to the gym, lol. See you there in half an hour!

Congratulations to everyone else. Keep going! We can do it!

Hi guys! Well I had a bit of a day off so just went for a gentle walk and spent the day with DS and DH. Most of the day I was good - weetbix for breaky, sushi for lunch. But did have indian for dinner and know I ate too much. But it was out fav restaurant and we rarely get to eat there so don't feel too bad. Back to normal eating today and soccer tonight. Am actually excited rather than nervous about tonights game so hopefully can bring a lot of energy.
I have my weigh in tomorrow. I kind of feel like I haven't lost any weight because half way through the week my scales still said the same as last week. So hopefully I do but if I don't then it isn't a big surprise and fingers crossed I will at least see some cms loss after all of the work this week.
    Hope everyone is feeling awesome!

Wow It's a really good motivator seeing how excited all of you are about this! I need to remember to keep reading & posting in this thread so I keep my motivation up!

I am having a bit of a slack week compared to last week. I did some work on my arms/abs on Sunday night, then went to the gym on Tuesday, and tonight will most probably go to yoga. Might have to walk to the bank today too, depends if it keeps drizzling or not. Eating wise has been ok - I've been good & not really snacked on junk food, and I have been having good stuff for lunch - tuna, salad sandwiches, soups etc. Hardest thing I am finding is keeping my portion sizes down at dinner time, I get too hungry after work and end up eating waaaay to much.

I should get a pretty good work out tomorrow morning, my house needs a good clean so I'm sure I will work up a sweat making it sparkle lol.

Krysalyss - sounds like you still had a good day despite feeling a bit off.

Sibbie - that's why this thread is so great. We can get each other excited and motivated when we feel we're starting to go off track.

I am having an off day today, but am trying hard not to let it lead to bad eating. Went for a small walk with DS in the pram this morning (he fell asleep so I cut the walk short), and for a small treat I made myself a small serve of scrambled eggs with cheese (only used one egg). Now I am about to have a 99% fat free hot chocolate, mmm .

Had an AWESOME time at the gym last night. It was basically deserted, so we had the gym room to ourselves and the pool (mostly) to ourselves. It was so nice to swim again, it's been so long. And the sauna was a lovely way to finish (although I could have done without the talk of 'what would happen if we got locked in here'), lol.
Can't wait to go back again. Doing an aqua fitness class on the weekend .

Oh I reckon!!! I kept looking at the bloody door after Am said that.. ROFL!!!!! All these images were going through my mind - was not pretty!! ROFL....

Are you doing the aqua class tomorrow arvo? I was thinking of catching that one.

Hoping to go on my treadmill tonight - had my chiro this morning and my pelvis isn't staying where its supposed to (grr) so she's not sure if the exercise is aggravating it or not - bahhh!! But she worked on my elbow (ouch ouch OUCH) so hopefully that starts getting better so I can start using it properly in work outs - and swimming!!!

Sounds like everyone else is doing great - keep up the good work

BTW - I'm pretty sure that I just have a double chin now instead of a triple one.. haha!

Mel: Yup, I'm planning on going to the AquaFit class tomorrow afternoon. Even toying with the idea of going to work out on Sunday sometime (may as well make the most of having DH home to watch DS).
Lol - yay for only having a double chin now!!! I think my double chin is slowly disappearing! Woot!

Hey girls Well, I am actually sore today. I must have finally done a decent workout at the gym LOL. I pushed myself last night... went further and faster on the treadmill and upped my weights to where I could only JUST do 8 reps at a time.

I have a question tho... after I've been to the gym, I crave, and I mean CRAVE, a big serving of carbs. DH says to eat protein instead.. but it just doesn't appeal. I did quickly cook myself an egg to eat last night, but didn't really satisfy. DH has suggested a protein shake before.. he has a big tin of protein he has every morning which I could use. Like making a banana smoothie or something.. but I dunno. What do you girls have when you're trying to curb carb cravings?

I do shakes hon....I am horrible at trying to curb carbs....they are my all. So I have a shake at lunch and it helps me.

I also substituted carbs for things like lettuce, mountains bread, bacon and yep eggs.

Liz - I hear ya on the carb cravings! They are my downfall too, especially after dinner time. I have a piece of fruit but it's just not satisfying.

After recording my food intake for a week, I've realised I can cut the fat and sugar easy, but how do you reduce the carbs? Are the shakes ok to use while breastfeeding?

maz - don't stress about the dress hun, just think of it as more motivation! I do understand though. This morning I pulled out my boots, my one and only pair that I love and my calves are too fat for them to zip up. Now I have big calves anyway and so it took me forever to find these boots that fitted my calves when I was 8kg lighter, so now I am determined to get skinny calves so my boots fit!

HI guys! Well soccer was good last night. I played a lot better although still felt really puffed at some points. It really is an aggressive game in some ways and I got and gave my fair share of knocks last night. Counting the bruises this morning. Still it does me good stress wise as well. Have been pretty good so far today. Went out for breaky and had just one poached egg on toast with a skinny coffee and a small amaretti bikkie. Although I forgot to asked for unbuttered toast. Lunch was a falafel kebab. Just about to have a coffee and will have some grapes later and tonight for dinner we will have vietnamese spring rolls (the ones you dip in water not fry) - yum yum!

I also weighed in today and lost 500g, plus 4.5cm off my measurements. Am proud of myself as I put in a lot of effort this week and hopefully with the same effort this week I will see a bit more come off. Another good thing this week was getting fitted for a bra and getting into a 10DD instead of a 12D. Woo hoo!

Anyway hope everyone is fighting fit and having a great week and weekend.

You're doing such a great job Kryss, you should be so proud of yourself!!

Me on the other hand....well struggling a little yesterday and today. I had a terrible day yesterday, I had a avocado, snitzel, cheese and sweet chilli sandwich, we were out shopping and until I actually ordered what I did I intended to get a salad sandwich with low fat cheese on it. I have no idea why I didn't get it....,I also ate some of the kids KFC chicken and chips. THEN I ate a huge bowl of extra creamy ice cream with crushed bickies on it. Plus two extra bickies while I made it. While it was absolutely delish (LOL!) all I thought with every mouthful was how bad it was for me and that I just shouldn't be eating it at all. I felt so guilty. So a really bad day with eating, and no exercise. On the upside I did make and eat some home made asian style veggie noodle soup, it was so yummo! And DD loved the noodles and broth too. I thought it would be too spicy cause I put some chilli in it, but she ate it with me, lol! Plus there was left over for lunch today, so good on a chilly day!

Today I have done well, porridge with grated apple and honey, a skinny cafe late, soup and some homemade pizzas for dinner. I will go for a walk soon too, probably take the kids to the park.

I'm trying so hard. I really want to do this. I feel terrible how I am now. I need to do it. My head is just taking alot of convincing of the path I need to take to get there!

Eluned, diet shakes are def not for breastfeeding mums. Most say it on the packet but Xndo do allow it. I tried it for a couple of weeks with DH and my milk supply dropped so much and i felt so awful I stopped.

Liz your body craves carbs after a workout because that's what your brain feeds off and when you've used up a lot your brain panics a bit and lets you know what it wants. Protein before a workout def helps with muscle recovery. I used to do protein shakes (when I was a lightweight and exercising twice a day), but that was part of a neo anorexia for me so I can't really tell you how effective they were.

Maz the want to workout more is from the endorphins - your brain becomes addicted to the high they give!

AFM only 100gm lost this week and about 5ish cms. I have really been lacking motivation so I was a bit disappointed, but I guess every bit counts.
Bought stuff to make a few recipes for dinners out of the latest WW mag this week and even DH is excited....now just to cut out the eating after dinner.

    Hi Girls!

Hi Sterla - yay, that is nice when someone mentions that they notice your weight loss. Good for you!

I've had a crappy week exercise wise. My baby girl Amelia has been so ill with a stomach bug that DH's nephew kindly passed on....she started showing symptoms on Tuesday and is only just better today. I was really worried for a while there - her poo was like yellow water for 4 days! She slept heaps in the day but fussed at night - she normally sleeps all night without a peep so I hope she goes back to that soon, I'm not used to getting up so many times again ha ha. Anyway, to top it all off yesterday I got a bit of it, hence I did lose a little weight lol but I haven't done any exercise so I'm sure my results will be poor this week. I haven't particularly eaten bad but I haven't moved around much either so might not show darn it! Oh well, what can you do. I tell you though, I failed the first "sick baby" test, I didn't handle it too well, it's so hard seeing your baby sick isn't it. Guess I'd better get used to it, it's gonna happen more!!!!!

Hope you're all having a good week with your food and exercise! xx
