3LM - the whole sleep deprivation thing sucks. Still suffer it here to some extent, but not to the level that you would be at the moment
Will classify this week for me as a write off. There has been my birthday, my dad has been visiting etc. Trying to do the right thing, but sucking at it. Just not in my groove yet, so not really set-up to handle hurdles like this. Oh well, I did say my first month was more of a testing month to see what will and won't work for me. I do have to deal with hurdles, as they will not stop and there is a the major Christmas one coming up! Good motivation to lose weight, but also really scary when it comes to dealing with all the food and alcohol.
Just feeling crappy really. Feeling bloated, like I am bigger than ever. So damn tired (why won't my 3yo sleep?). So desperate for me time, the school holidays have killed me and finishing off with my dad here, as much as I am glad to see him, the timing just sucks. I feel like I can't breathe, which is just not great for me eating well and also for getting any exercise done. Please do not say go for a walk. Going for a walk by myself is just not possible right now and going with others is so bad, I would rather stick pins in my eyes than deal with that stress.

) than I need to and take in my HOme Beautiful mag with me!! Holidays end tomorrow hun and don't beat yourself up too much.
I know motivation is down a bit - me included but Ihave decided to stop beating myself up, I will NOT feel guilty if I eat BBQ shapes, I won't kick myself for not doing exercise because i nearly broke my foot. I will never look like a supermodel so have stopped looking at pics on pinterest for motivation, but what I WILL do is never give up. It isn't a diet. It isn't a short term goal - it is a long term change in my view on food and exercise and one thing I have found over the last 2 mths is that I actively look for ways to exercise every day - it is a habit now and if I miss it I really miss it. I love that I have my JM dvds to do at home on days like today when the weather is crap. I know that eating wise I am at high risk of getting diabetes with my dad being type 2 and also because I carry my weigh around my middle. I have seen my sister lost 20 kgs recently through low carb -and exercising 5 days a week. She has battled weight for YEARS. I mean nearly 20 years and finally has lost it though a combination of both so I know it works. I know if I eat less carbs I feel better. I KNOW all of this intellectually but if I fall short I refuels to beat myself up because on top of focusing on all of that I have a nearly 3 year old who repeatedly says NO to everything in a day (tiring much) I have a 4 year old bright spark who needs to me to focused on her more than I am on me ITMS so if I fall short, have crappy days and don't meet my goals I simply don't give up and go again the next minute. Does that make sense?? It is working for me - I know it may not for everyone else but for me it helps to know that I am not perfect, I KNOW what I need to do but if I don't do it then that is actually ok but I have to keep going - for my kids sake. I also know that even with falling off the wagon but exercising I feel strong, I feel more toned, I can do PUSH UPS! OMG that I couldn't do before, and my shoulders look HOT if I do say so myself - so seeing those changes is enough to keep going.
Was basically saying that we as mums constantly feel guilt over something in parenting, as wives/partners/ SAHM's or working mamas, mamas in general and I think we should go easy on ourselves with dieting and weightloss as well. Not to say that it should be an excuse to overindulge or not exercise but if we fall short on our goals at times, then just shrug it off and keep going rather than feeling like failures. Just my take!
No real exercise as yet, though I have been getting busy in the garden and I have sore muscles from it, so I am doing something good! I will go for a walk today though cause DH is home and I will have the opportunity to.

. Exercise isn't happening, eating heaps of junk... So annoyed at myself.

Very happy. Started tracking on CK again as of Sunday. Have not been perfect, but pretty good. Damn DH bringing me a glass of wine
