LysnDan - see I knew that was why I didn't do persies .....how is your little lady going? I cannot imagine how you are managing to concentrate on eating well etc so soon after having her! No expectation for indivual posts either from me. xxx

Wow right back at ya Astird. I'm not surprised someone has read into my post in a negative way. Good luck to you and anyone else who is choosing to look at things in a nasty light because I can't be bothered.
I know it probably wasn't meant to sound 'nasty' and i'm choosing to think that you didn't mean it that way but what you wrote certainly did come across a little harsh, it sounded (and this is my opinion) as though YOU revived this thread, YOU made the effort to do personals and NO-ONE else did so and YOU deserve more support than what we are offering.
I'm sorry if you feel this way and i'm sure you didn't mean it to sound like that.

We are all here with a common goal and while not all of us have a chance to write personals or long winded replies some people do, i find the support of someone just as valuable with a quick - hi how you going than a full response typed directly to me.

I hope no-one leaves this thread, we are all here for love & support with something that can be a very personal issue.

I said it's not all about me! but I do choose to give my support to a forum/thread where the support is mutual. So I'm heading over to Calorie King, cause I know those calorie counters are one committed and supportive bunch!
Sorry but I agree with ZF - we aren't "reading" into your thread at all but there isn't really another way to take what you said other than you feel like you are putting in more than you are getting out of it and that you somehow revived it and so people owe you something. Each to their own really and if you feel the need to leave then that is your choice. As I said before, with all threads on BB there are times people most than others and sometimes people have time for personals and other times they don't That is just the way it is.

Lysndan = Please don't leave - we completely understand where you are coming from and all the stresses you have, I for one, and know others don't mind if you just pop in and out to let us know how you are going. xoxoxox

Whatever. Forget leaving this thread, I'm leaving BB! And may be back down the track, not that anyone would care. I don't think I deserve anymore support than the next person but I do expect not to be ignored. Argh! I honestly can't be bothered explaining myself. See you all later.

I don't think you were being ignored hun, just not everyone does personals.
I'd hate to see you leave BB over something so trivial as this, I def wasn't ignoring you and I doubt anyone else was, and I'm sure LOTS of ppl would care.

TBH I tend to reply from the last of or 2 and if I'm on my phone I don't even do that.

FWIW ladies I got on the scales this morning - 93.5 but I will wait a couple of days before changing my ticker.... JIC!

I think you are completely missing the point Cherished - nobody is DELIBERATELY ignoring anyone but if you feel that way, a break might be the best thing for you. We are all busy and for most of us time on BB is a cherished and rushed luxury. Nobody is out to hurt anyone or ignore anyone as we all have way too much life going on. Good luck whatever you decide.

ZF - WOOOOO that is awesome hun!!! You should be SO proud and what a great motivation!

I know that Tanstar and if you read my first post I said all these things myself and that I KNOW that BB doesn't revolve around ME and that everyone's life is busy!

ZF this thread is just the icing on the cake, thanks for your posts. I am leaving BB though, this thread was just the final evidence that BB can be a really un-supportive community at times and the back lash from my comments which I still maintain were not nasty is even more evidence.

    I'm off now, thanks again.

I haven't been doing many persies either, but I'm pretty sure we all know that we each have different stuff going on and sometimes other things are just more important, we get busy. Plus people all have their own agendas, priorities and reasons for using BB and it's different sections and threads.
For me, mostly I use the weight loss thread to try to get up a bit of motivation by seeing other people trying to and doing what I am/want to do. When I get personal messages and that kind of support, I do admit I love it (narcissistic much?? lol) but if I don't I can totally understand that! Alot of the time I am trying to do 500 things at once when I am on BB, and think I should write to someone in a thread, or even start a thread, but usually forget. Try not to take it personally if people miss you or seem to not notice things you say. Though I know from personal experience it can be hard not to. But it is usually soooo not a personal thing!

Anyway, I have had a terrible few days. Back to it properly tomorrow though. I am making nachos for dinner tonight and while I know it's not healthy almost anyway you make them, I have been CRAVING them for days since my girlfriend said she was making them and if I don't eat them soon, I will most definately explode!!! (Or...wait would that be AFTER I eat them??!) I am going to use the healthy mince (only half from the recipe, the other half will be kidney beans), low fat cheese, low fat sour cream and the lowest fat, no salt corn chips I can find. Hopefully they won't be too horrendously bad for us!
I had hoped to at least get in some exercise but it is bucketing down here and I am so tired after a bad night with DS2 so I think I will put that off til tomorrow too. I still feel like....nay, AM making more and more excuses though. I had a photo take of me a few days ago and my goodness, it's horrible! I just don't see myself as being so fat in my head! But I am. And I need to change, or I just might really get sick or even die from being so unhealthy. I am actually going to go to the doctor sometime soon (it's not that easy to get into my doctor, he's a popular man!! Plus I live in a small remote town and he only lives here for 2wks a month!) and make sure all of my 'things' are ok, lol. Like blood pressure, cholesterol, thyroid, iron...blah blah. Because I have been feeling so meh lately. Most likely just cause I am so fat and not doing alot of exercise or eating that well, and too much, but who know's maybe there is something.

Ok gotta go, baby is awake....see, not persies! Sorry. I will try again later.

ETA. Ok just missed like 100 posts, but cherished, I'm so sorry you're feeling that way hun. Maybe just a BB break? It would be terribly sad to lose you for good.

Wow ? I did read your post and in the same breath you said you weren't being supported here. My answer was to that but whatever, clearly you won't read this if you are banned/have left anyway.

3LM - Mmm nachoes - they sound like they won't be too bad with all that low fat really hun and I think the main thing is your portion size? I do that with chocolate too if I really really really feel like it I take just what I will eat and no more and make it last! Baby steps hun, incorporating a few small changes like upping water, doing small amounts of exercise when you can will all add up and help.

We are having swedish meatballs - again not the best here either but not the worst either (dam you Olive and your delicious recipes!) and will have a tinsy bit of rice and steamed veg on the side. TRYING to cut my DC too but Ilove it and having it in the house all the time is terrible. Maybe I should have a Raspberry Free vodka instead ???

    Have a good night all!

Cherished please don't leave. I realize it can be annoying pouring all the effort into persies to get nothing back, im one of the popper-inners and I feel really guilty for it love. Im sorry and we all do care about everyone in bb land.

Tanstar the meatballs sound nice how were they?

How is everyone going with their water intake? Im struggling.

Hey girls.... well I've done it. I'm keeping it on the low down still, but I've joined the FCS 1 million kilo weight loss challenge team. It started nearly a month ago when DH & I started trying to shift a few kilos post Christmas. Then a few weeks after we started it, I had some blood tests which showed that my cholesterol was 6.8. Since having the girls, my cholesterol has gone up every year, and as we have a family history of that and my diet is dairy free and whole foods the GP said not to worry until this year. So she gave me meds, and I read up on them and decided I would first do some weight loss and first a liver detox to try and help naturally shift this cholesterol.

I started on the 16th of January. I bought some scales Thursday week ago and have lost 3 kg since, but now I'm off the detox so I'd assume that I wouldn't lose as much weight as fast....

So as far as personals go, well... I suck at them. I really do. I've been on BellyBelly for over 8 years and as of March been a moderator for 8 years. I just think sometimes we mean to reply and can't, especially when your kids start asking for things as soon as you sit down. For me, the last few years has been one liners, or 1-2 sentences... and I figure that is better than nothing!

After that long diatribe, I don't expect you all to reply but I'm coming in!

Wooo welcome Christy - congrats on the weight loss hun that is great!!! and yay for FCS challenge. Family history worries me as well, both parents have high cholesterol, never had mine checked though and my dad is type 2 diabetes and I carry all my weight around my middle so I HAVE to do this! Agree with the personals stuff too - only reason i posted so much yesterday was because I had no kids at home

Meatballs were good but my portions were way big and I made brownies last night Seriously talk about sabotaging myself. I only ate one tinsy bit though so that is something.

Just got back from a 3.5 km walk with kids in pram = 40+ kgs!!! I did a heap of sit-ups and dips while the kids played too so that was good and off to the pool to beat the heat now! Have a grand Sunday!!!

Hi Christy - Good on you for doing something about health and woo hoo with the 3kg loss!!!

Shall not talk about the fish and chips last night (thanks DH), did eat less than I normally do, but gee really noticed that they just do not satisfy. Yes yummy, but hungry again very quickly regardless of how much eaten. A good reminder before starting the 1 mill kg challenge (good name, but we really do need a shorter way of typing it) of the way crap food makes me feel.

So as of tomorrow it all starts. Up at between 6 and 6.30 will get myself weighed and measured, then do some exercise.

Q: Should I eat a little something before exercising? I do not do well with no food when I wake up, but also I do struggle with morning exercise. I am so much better with a midday workout, but just not possible these days (times like this I do miss my old job that provided gym membership)

1MKGC? 1MC? I think we will probably know what we are talking about with something like that! Yesterday I had half a banana before my run hun, I find that I need something in my tummy but not a full meal per se. Today I had a bowl of Just Right but wouldn't' do that if I was running (walk with pram today) as I don't' like the milk jigging around! I find a banana is great energy and fills me up.

Yep I have a coffee before I go in the am but can't run with anymore in my tummy! Hot here already today but back from a walk.
Christy - do you eat rolled oats? DH has high cholesterol but manages it with eating high fibre food - so bread etc. The key has been whole oats for breaky for him!

Yeah Mak I have oats daily, either as porridge or home made musli or I grind up the oats and put them in a smoothie... I do fruit/yoghurt/oats and flaxseeds in my smoothies...

I am a bit nervous about the setting a goal weight to meet in 10 weeks... its just scary
