can i say please please do not reward yourselves with food the best way to reward yourselves is to go and buy yourself something nice like an outfit or something like that. it doesnt have to be expensive.
BW I know exactly what you mean about footpaths. Ours are terrible here: either there are none or they are very old, broken up, uneven or leaning too much into the road. It hurts my knees and back to walk on the angle too much so I imagine you must find that too. Do you think maybe a walk on a treadmill might be ok? Most gyms have a creche or you could do it in the evenings when Sam is in bed with his dad home.
Happy to report a 900g loss this week. I was thinking a gain was in store for me! I think partially it was that I havent drunk enough water today so next week will really tell the true story. That makes exactly 10kg down now!!!!! Only 300g till I've reached my first 10%Happy happy happy!

ok.... i have a confession....
i have fallen off the wagon.....MAJORLY
SO...normally this is where i would just give up and say that this is too hard and i can't do it. how do i get through this?
Ginger- I too have fallen off the wagon just eating badly etc wat we both need to do is start again from now go out do some excercise whether it be a walk run/ swim but do it now! start writting down what u have consumed 2day so u can be accountable ! if youve had a pretty bad day with wat you've eaten make it an extra 1/2 hour of physical excercise.
I Know how hard it is to get back on the wagon just think how great you'll feel being back on it xx
Sazz- Good on you hun you've done so well 10KGWOOHOO
krysalyss- Thx hun will do xx
Squidipa- thats a great tip!!
I weighed myself today im 67.75kg so i havent done as bad as i thought ive lost 500g in the last few weeks . i can do better though im just lucky i havent gained
Went and tried to get some swimmers today not feeling to crash hot in my bikkini atm got one that covered me abit more![]()
thanks BC....i've basically been binging since sunday, and i'm not sure how to stop the cycle.
do you think i should weigh myself tomorrow morning and start afresh from there? what's the best thing to do?
I don't now if I missed this thread ENTIRELY or if I somehow unsubscribed myself but YIKES! Well done everyone - I haven't had time to read through the pages and pages but the fact you are all still on here bodes well. Well I have nothing to report. I am exactly the same weight as I was 2 weeks ago, 64.3 oddly enough it seems to be a bit of a
Eh - this shall hopefully be the week I finally see that 63. which will get me where I want to be. I have been so damn cranky this last week, maybe AF is around the corner, because I can't remember having been so cranky and emotional for more than a day before - poor DH & DD. Chocolate calls - I shall resist . . Taboulleh anyone?? Just not the same is it.
Ginger - weigh yourself again and start afresh. Once you start making progress you'll be so glad you did! And just think, if you've gained any, well, it will make the losses all the bigger.
I used to put it off... and off... and feel bad/guilty/annoyed etc. Then when I DID start writing down what I ate and just trying to exercise even a bit more, I felt SO much better! Trust me, you'll thank yourself and you will feel great!!!
BC - sending you a butt kicking too
YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:yeahthat: Ginger - What I would do is THROW OUT anything that you may be tempted to binge on even if it is wasteful, fill the fridge with vegie sticks and fruit and whatever you are allowed to eat so if you do feel weak again you go to the cupboard and there is nothing there for you to cave to. We've all been there - getting back up seems hard, but once you're up there again you won't know what you were worried about. Go girl!
Sas is right, ginger. If it's not there, you can't eat it. Get rid of the bad stuff - no more biscuits and make friends with the strawberries and carrot sticks. Start over from here and don't wallow in guilt over the blowouts - that will just make it harder to get back on track. Maybe you need to allow yourself small treats every so often so as to avoid the big binge when the cravings get too much?
Well... still in maintenance mode here. Went out to a shopping centre and managed a little bit of a walk, but my foot is still way too painful. Curse my incredibly slow recovery time! Realised why I was hitting the carbs so hard over the weekend - bloody AF! You'd think I'd have been aware that the cravings would happen as I'm on the pill and KNEW it was coming... sheesh! Oh well, I did a damned good job losing 4kg, and I know I can get back into losing again when my foot is recovered.
BW
Ginger - I think it's harder when you're having to get up to little ones through the night, and while you're breastfeeding. If you really want to do it though, perhaps put 2 photos on the fridge - one where you were happy with your weight, and a recent one. Might be a good way to stick to it.![]()
WOOOHOOOO I did a mid week weigh in today and I am 69.9kg
OMG I'm so HAPPY and so impressed with myself!!!! I am so thankful with all my weight ups and downs that I have not given up
So anyone who has fallen off the wagon just keep going, you will get there

Welcome to six-land, cherished! It's an amazing feeling and you've done so well - congratulations!
BW
OMG Cherished! - That is so awesome!! Woo hoo!
Wooohoooo Cherished! So many six-land babes in here!
Ginger - I have fallen off the wagon SO many times. You need to just jump right back on.
Tips for falling off the wagon:
* If you're going to have a treat, make it an incredible one. don't waste calories on a dry crappy biscuit, or crumbly stale cake. Make it your favourite thing.
* Plan your treats. If you absolutely cannot live without chocolate, have a chocolate day each week, say, Thursday (I hate Thursdays) Set aside your four squares of chocolate for Thursday. In moments where you're having a totally rubbish day, rather than reach for the choc, count down the days (hours, minutes!) til you can have it.
* Punish yourself with a harder than normal workout. Doesn't necessarily mean longer, but maybe one block of your normal walk you have to run, or do one really realy hard lap in the pool. Do it until you feel that treat being worked off.
* Stop your binge. Use everything you've got, and hold off. Write it in your journal about how proud you are of yourself. First time might be 1 hour, later on it might be 5 hours, eventually you'll work up to not needing it.
Go!
AFM - Hanging from the wagon! BFF visiting has resulted in a few wines and a small blowout last nightAt least have been riding every day this week.
cherished1 WoooooHoooo you go girl thats Amazing!!!!!!!!
snugglybean- Their some great tips!! im finding it so hard atm to keep going and i keep giving into temptation and my backs playing up pretty badly again trying to do as much excercise as i can which hasnt been muchi know what i need to do, i know ill feel great wen i do it but i just get there arghh
thanks so much for all your support weight loss friends
i didn't weigh myself, i think the whole scales thing has been doing my head in a little bit and led my to the binge a little itms?
i've been eating healthy all day, started the day with a healthy breakfast and am just going to ease myself back into the swing of healthy eating and then might weigh myself in a couple of weeks. i'm just taking it really slowly and gently this time, as in the past i have gone too hard and crash dieted and ended up fatter...
Yay Cherished - well done!!!
Hang in there Snuggly! Enjoy your self though.
Ginger - slow and steady, just keep making healthy choices and it will happen.
I went shopping for hours today to try and reward myself and I found nothing that I likedAlthough i did get a new bra (still a maternity one for b/f but my others were too big) and I have gone from a 16DD to a 12D!!!
