Cyyyyyycling!!!!
Thanks BeckI think that this will be my one and only big loss and the rest will be really slow!
I weighed myself and i have lost 900g, pretty happy with that too - as i said, i think all the weight came off the waist and no where else!
Lillias, i do the same as you and Beck, have a cup of tea to decide whether i really do want that food.. sometimes the answer is yes, unfortunately it is more want than need, i very rarely feel really hungry... but i guess this is something that i will need to prefect over time!
Ausgirl - great news on an inch all aroundI have no idea when AF will return, with DD1 it was back she was 6 weeks, DD2 is now 13 weeks and there is no sign of her (though i am quite happy about this
)
I am using Spark people to track my food as its a free app on my phone and i usually sit down and enter it when i am feeding - i rarely get a chance to sit at the computer these days!
Done more digging in the garden today, big salad with cheese for lunch - its getting easier watching everyone else it other stuff, last night DH made chicken stroganoff, i had the chicken and sauce bit but not the rice that they ate, i had mine with salad...
Had loads more to write, but gotta get the washing out before the sun goes away![]()
Cyyyyyycling!!!!
Had to post I was cycling cos I sooooo didn't feel like doing it! 45 mins in the bank, 22.7km, 374 calories
SJ - that's an awesome loss on your waist - well done!!
Beckoes - I find the same. I just eat pretty normal lunches & dinners (brekkie is my oh-so-boring but healthy, meh!)... then it seems to be ok.
Lilias - sounds like a great plan. It's amazing how much we sabotage each other as partners without realising it. DH & I used to always be in the habit of buying each other "presents" that were chocolate bars & stuff. Not such a great present after all huh.
Hope everyone is looking forward to a great week! I'm aiming to get a jog in tomorrow. Yay.
so inspiring Belfie! you go girl!
Just a quick check in for me. Yesterday I DID get a new diary. I have filled it in and today weighed myself and took measurements. Good news is that I still have lost 2 kg's but I will start from scratch today. Let's hope the momentum will keep up! New goal loose 5.8kg's that will be pre pg weightthen I'll see what I'll aim for after that.
well i ended uphaving a high cal day yesterday, went round to the old couple next door for a cuppa...and she had spent all day baking! so ended up having a slice of apple cake and a two home made monte carlos. i felt so rude trying to say no as she had made them specially...although i didnt need to have two biscuits!!
anyway, whats dont is done, the rest of the day was fineand today il do an hours walk so hopfully it wont be a total disaster!
cycling sounds like a great idea but i wouldnt be able to do it with my 3 month old!!
bit pushed for time, so ba back later for personals. wishing a good day to everyone
Beckoes -ah the old couple with the food, that's a tough one!! There's a lovely old Austrian granny near us who makes us delectable cookies every Xmas. The first year I didn't have the heart to say I was gluten free & couldn't eat them... Now it's been sooo long I can't ever say! So I always make an excuse & then DH eats them later!!!
AFM I'm so stoked. Sat was a 0.5kg increase, sunday was still 0.2kg up. But today... 0.7kg DOWN. (which is actually a 1.2kg change since sat!). So.freaking.excited!!!! I'm seeing a 60 for the first time in like 5-6 years!!!
totally with you on that beckoes. is not worth it starving yourself, and even snaking is okay provided is only when you really need it, is not close to a meal and has something with protein in it to fill you up.
OR an apple... yum! and apparently the pectin in it (most highly concentrated in the skin) really helps with weight loss. i have been told from several different source (people and books rather than that terrifyingly overly-trusted source the internet (gasp)) that two apples a day and regular exercise combined with your usual diet (am assuming usual to be reasonably healthy rather than kfc and similar lol) really gets things going!
well yesterday was horrible and wet so only did 15 mins of pilates, but today is (freezing) fine so we walked to our PIN group and then on to boo's appt and then part of the way home! so something like 8.5-9km up and down hills with pram and bags.. phew! was ready for lunch after that!
sounds yummy with the cake and cookies, maybe just write it off as a treat to a worthy cause! i mean surely we can't all deny ourselves the odd biscuit every now and then... just so long as is not now and now lol!
well done on the loss belfie!
sorry lol, just realised that page 12 of thread was not the end and had refreshed it last night and not noticed that it continued lol.

well done for everyones weight losses!!! sounds like your all doing ace! my weigh in tomorrow!! dont expect much this week. just a tiny bit will make me happy...
>>> can anyone explain to me why i get such an insane sweet tooth after dinner! I get so grumpy and its so hard not to have something naughty! Luckily after dinner is normally quite hectic with the kids and i dont get time to sit and think about it, but its actually making it hard to be around me for about an hour or so after dinner! Any ideas!?
mmmm... yeh me too. the first week was really tough with everyone sitting down with a gingernut and a cuppa after dinner once bub was in bed (we live communally) and not me. am hoping it's doesn't get hard again... don't know if am strong enough! but have got it sorted - i have a piece of fruit, preferably either an apple, pear or kiwifruit (golden is super sweet, yummy!).
i decided when i started this to "watch my carbohydrates and starches" and do more exercise but really what i'm doing is watching my processed carbs, so anything with flour in it rather than worrying about fruit and stuff like that. i figure fruit is all natural and a natural form of food therefore i can have it whenever provided am actually hungry and not just eating when i'm bored. but then have always been keen on fruit, is not a hardship to eat it instead of baking.
oh man! the gingernut tin was empty today as put last two in bub's snackbox so had to make another batch. i tell you what, baking and not being able to have a tiny bit was really a test to my self restraint, but I DID IT!
hope that helps![]()
i did that the other week, i bought dd1 a box of mini meringues so she could make something he had seen on play school, and i LOVE them and didnt have ONE. once they were all gone i was so glad...they were there..open..for days...and id stand in the pantry and just look at the box, telling myself i didnt want one! cant belive id did it! its great when you dont though![]()
off to have a mandarine...
YUUUM! i *love* meringues!
i hope the fruit thing helps. it works for me... usually... :P
oh and the other thing i was told was to go to bed feeling not quite full.. but not hungry. which am taking to mean that i could cram more food in if i tried, but don't feel any need or want. it's not like we want to wake up at 3am starving and are then awake for hours due to *naughty* night time food...

Belie - well done Hun, I'm so so happy for you!!!!
Bekoes - I used to get that sweet tooth too, it totally slowed my weight loss down too (I used to have a tub of 'real' lite yoghurt). The best way to deal with it is re-program your food habits and not give in. Fruit isn't the best option due to the high fructose content. But I'm a food nazi.
AFM - I guess being a food nazi and exercising vigorously is working for me again. In 6 wks since starting this weight loss campaign I've lost just over 6 kilos...as at yesterday I am down to 62.8 kg's. Only 2.8 kg's to go now till my first goal weight! And the waist measurement is down to 83 cms, so 3 cms from my goal for that.
Keep punching at it everyone![]()
feeling down in the dumps today so i didnt weigh in...couldnt handle a crap result. will feel better in the morning so il do it then. having a good day food wise.
leesa:great loss!! you sound very determind and driven...good on you! ive been that food nazi and i dont think i could do it now.
yayness! would you believe i stood on the scales after dinner in all my clothes (jeans, long t, socks, bra, breastpads, undies, glasses) and had a result of 82-82.5kg (somewhere below/just on 13 stone) so yay! will do proper weigh in tomorrow morning and see whether was just dodgy scales or actual happiness!
you can do it too beckoes! i believe!
although was baaad today as did not do a lick of exercise... tomorrow! tomorrow we will!![]()

Must stop watching masterchef! Cupcakes, I want cupcakes! Arggggh!
Lol I was watching masterchef. I've decided it doesn't help! Luckily I kinda just couldn't be bothered to watch it after a bit.
Beckoes - how about a peppermint tea after dinner? I find that can help stop those sweet cravings.
AFM well I'm being teased lol. Have hit low 60's so am almost daring to hope this week might bring a 59er! Am running out of clothes (especially pants) but don't want to buy anything yet. In the past this was obviously a weight I just "passed" on my way to "go" (don't collect 200 lol). I have lots of bigger & lots of smaller stuff! Also when i make it to the 59's, it's my second last goal!!
sounds like your doing great belfie! and livvy.
masterchef is a pain when they cook sweets...didnt watch it last night...sounds like it was a good think.
so, i weighed in. lost 2cms off my waist!! very happy. and 2kgs aswell!! great week. but im expecting it to slow now unless i do more exercise. so time to pick up the pace!
yay beckoes! i love it when i see the tickers move!
check this one out baby! yeyah!
