Probably not much protein.. according to the CK for this week i averaged about 16% of food intake from protein. So what has protein.. meat, eggs????

And the nuts and seeds.. which a bit to exxie for last weeks shopping, but i will try to get them in th budget this week!!
Yup, meat (though limit red meat twice weekly), eggs, nuts, legumes plus the ole protein shake if you can get your hands on one?

Sorry for being a thread hog this morning ladies!! I've been pretty busy last week as dh had a week off so we cram everything in family wise as we can! Just trying to make up for lost time lol!

Got on the scales this morning thinking there is no way I'd lost - but yipee - I have, albeit only a couple of hundred grams! BUT anything is better than a gain - 100g off 76kg!

Ok all the todays posts came through after I typed my post.

belfie well done on the 10kilos gone what an acievement. Do let me know what the EA active 2 is like. I saw it at target and it was drastically reduced but I didn't get it as I went their to get Zumba and couldn't justify leaving with both. Yeah on the loss this week if you were not expecting it

SB I too think the wii isn't as good of a work out as other options but if its easier then getting outside keep it up. Its one thing I can do so thats why I get on the wii as opposed to walking. Are you weighing daily? If so you wont notice a loss like you will doing it weekly. Ive done both. Sometimes I need that obsession to keep me on the straight and narrow if you know what I mean. If I am struggling to keep going (and not scoff a whole batch of anzac cookies) if I would weigh daily and see a loss then it spurred me to keep going. I'm weighing about 2 weekly because I like to know Im doing the right thing although my official weigh in is Thursday (where I record and measure)

Woohoo Ausgirl. Love to readabout everyones losses

    Hello to everyone else.

Leesa are you were you want to be weight/health wise now since having bub? I'm the alpaca on your FCS site lol

Leesa - Heehee at your post about MFP I just find it much easier to use and navigate that CK but I guess it essentially does the same thing!

Belfie - That is awesome hun!!!! and think of all the deliciousness you can cook up now in your TMX!!!

SB - I found some exercise sheet things on Pinterest the other day - not sure if can post the link here can I? Pinterest don't sell anything so it might be ok - they are levelled charts that you can print out do at home -things like 30 jumping jacks, 10 push ups etc. I can post if anyone is interested and I think the Wii is better than nothing too but at the moment I need something that gets my HR up which is why the shred is working for me. xoxo I weigh in weekly but can't resist peeking in between

Off to the farmers market at the Convent today - off to load up on scrummy fruit and vegies, hopefully the mandarine man will be there from Mildura. They. ARE. AMAZING.

Ok here they are - Leesa you can tell us what you think - I think it's a bit light on for each day but might be good as an "extra"

I cannot keep up in here!

Hi Mel - we can motivate each other in here and IRL.

Did my first weigh in and waist measurement. Pretty depressing numbers, looking forward to getting them down down down!

Got my thermomix yesterday, so am planning lots of easy, healthy meals.

Hopefully can come back for a proper post later when I'm not onu phone.

    Hi guys,

going to have to be a quick one im sorry...

Welcome Mel! its great that there are so many of us in here now, we can all keep motivating each other!

hooray for all the loses, its great - i am really worried that i will not have a loss this week, i am acutely aware that i build muscle quickly (from experience) and i know that with the shred DVD i will be building muscle... i got the tape measure out today and i dont think that there is any change at all BUT i know that my jeans feel looser so i am not sure whats up with that.
I havent been on the scales since lat Sunday, i am really looking forward to weighing in tomorrow there is at least a small loss...

Mildez I am sorry that your DH is not as supportive. I have similar issues with libido here, but its mainly because of medication that DH started late last year, the change has been rather dramatic and tbh it can be very disheartening.... i think that is one of the reasons why this loss is for me, he doesnt care how i look (not in a nasty way) but it has made my resolve stronger...

SB you may not see losses each day, infact some days there will be tiny gains, the fact that you have seen losses each day is great, but it will slow down at some stage... Remember most scales weigh in 100 mg increments, so if you have lost 70grams you wont see that if that makes sense!

Nice to see you back in here Ausgirl and Leesa - i know you are no longer on a loss journey but your motivation is awesome (and so is your tough love )

I agree with the wii work outs not being as effective, i have 2 other 'games' and although its great that i am moving, its not doing the same as the shred DVD ... which i might add i have done 5 days in a row!!!!! So proud of myself and i feel GREAT afterwards.

Well tonight is movie and lollie night in our house... DH bought me licorice as he thinks that would be better for me that chocolate etc... reading the back, its so hard, i want some, but i am not sure if i can justify it, i mean i REALLY want a loss this week and that may just undo all the hard work i have done... i will admit there has been some bad days, but i am snacking less and generally making better choices

Sorry for the lack of personals... trying to educate DH as to WHY i dont need rice or noodles tonight with my dinner!!!

I hope you get a loss SJ!!! It can be hard when there is temptation!! Today we went into town and normally weekends means lounging around snacking (and doing wood!!- our excercise!!) and today DH went to go to woolies and he stopped and said "Its not fair if i go and buy heaps of munchy food is it????" so we didnt!! lol And so he came home and has made an apple and custard pie instead!!! I have put it into the CK and IF i have any- it will be the SMALLEST amount!!!!!!! Resist the lollies!! Can you make some pop corn instead?? Like with an air popper plain????

I am stoked so far with what i have already lost!! I am unsure if i want to keep weighing everyday or wait a week.. i would be gobsmacked if i had waited a week and then saw i had lost almost 3kg!! But then i dont know, it is nice motivation to see what works too, like noticing the day i had the biggest loss was doing the excercise first and last thing. So i think i will keep weighing daily for now!!

Well i have decided my Wii Fit is crap.. but the Wii Dance is worth it!! I did about an hour of the fit, mainly muscle toning and what they class as aerobics.. walking and doing the step thing and the hulla and boxing. It said i worked off 250calories.. it didnt feel right so i only entered it as 180.. then i did about half an hour or so with the dance one, doing cardio boxing and broke out in a sweat and was puffed and was really moving!!! It said i burned 200.. so i entered it as 200 coz it felt right!! lol But i def felt like i burned more with the second one even though the first one told me i had done more there.. (sorry ramble ramble ramble)- so i am thinking i will focus my excercise on the dance workout, and use the fit as a warm up and more of a toning and stretching thing, and i may not even add the calories burned- they can be my bonus ones too (while i am still getting used to CK i over estimate food and underestimate excercise JIC- some excercise i dont enter, but i add ALL FOOD!!)

And i managed to excercise with DH home lol He had a laugh at me doing the dance one (i would laugh at me too.. it would seriously be funny to see!!!) didnt think it was so funny when i came up to give him a cuddle all sweaty and smelly!!! lol He is still saying he doesnt want me as skinny as i was!! He likes my curves.. so i am going to get to 65 and see how i feel. After that i might consentrate on mainly toning and just not being as flab as i am now!!!! So only like 18kg to go!!! Woo Hoo!!!!

Ok, i have rambled enough!! I hope everyone is having a good weekend!!!

Okay ladies I'm back again...and again and again! This time I might have found the support I need from DH though, and I have motivation too, so here's hoping this is it!! DH is well into his changes, and is going great guns. He started about 3 weeks ago and has lost about 6kg He's fairly lucky in that weight tends to just drop off him, though he is doing tremendously with eating well. Despite me going a bit bananas with junk food and getting whatever I want to eat! But I have had that much **** lately that I just don't want it anymore. It makes me feel yuck and is just tasting yuck now too. So DH has 4 days off work, and I will be getting stuck into my healthy eating and exercising.

I weighed myself tonight (after having a packet of tubes and half a block of chocolate!) and I'm 91.4kg. Which was rather surprising I was expecting at least 94ish kg! So I haven't put on all of the 5kg I lost a few moths ago- yay! But still would like to get down to (ultimately) 65kg, though for now, 80 is the goal. I was 80 when I fell pg with DD 4 1/2yrs ago and I will start there. Last time I was 65kg, I was 20, so over a decade! I will measure myself too this time and use calorie king for a while again.

    So goals for this week-

    More water
    No junk (chocolate, chips ect...)
    More fruit and veg
    No sugar in tea/coffee
    No butter on toast/sandwiches
Walk at least 3 times a week

Now I have the propper support of DH, with him doing this with me, I feel better equipped to do it this time, rather than him saying he supports me, but not doing it with me. So he was still buying junk and eating it in front of me, but just not sharing! Like I am doing now, but he has proved to me he is on the warpath and is DOING it this time. He has ignored me and my junk habbits (he's got some will power that boy!) and has kept on eating healthy food, despite the choccy bickies in the cupboard. There is no more junk in the house though, so bring on tomorrow!! I'm psyched! (Let's see how long this enthusiasm lasts though! Day 3 of sugar withdrawals will not be fun!)

Good to see you back 3littlemonkeys. Just keep plodding along and you will get there. Some days are so much harder then others. Its great to hear you have your DH support. Woohoo on been just a smidge over 90. Wont take long at all to get under that.

SJ I'm praying you are rewarded by a good loss in the morning. FX. SJ how on earth do you do that shred DVD. **** I just tried it for the first time and only got about 10mins in before I thought I was having a heart attack. I had to stop. It was the push ups that killed me then I just couldn't recover doing the skips and jumping jacks over again. Oh well it was certainly a good but very short workout. I'll try do it most days but I think I will spend the first 1-2weeks just trying to get more then 10mins in. On the push up front I managed to do 5 so I can do 2more then I could on Monday.

SB lol at you looking funny dancing. You couldn't be as bad as me. I definately wont dance in front of DH. He has seen me on the wiifit but that is bad enough.

Well I'm abit disappointed with myself for been a pig at dinner tonight. Why couldn't I pig out at lunch instead. I started planning a salad and chicken mountain bread wrap which I ate then proceeded to eat a 2nd one. Ok that was not overly bad having 2 but I then polished off a medium serve of chocolate pudding with icecream then DD was full and I ate the last half of hers. Boo bl--dy hoo to me. So I then did 30mins on the wiifit and 10mins f the shred DVD and now I'm going to shower and have a much deserved sleep tonight. I also went for a walk with all 3kids which took 47mins although there were a few minute or two stops to get burrs out of DDs shoe. So I haven't had a bad day exercise but I ate way to much (I also had a piece of cake which was a food I cut out completely) Oh well I have until Thursday to be a little more careful before weigh in. Maybe I'll be close to 78kilos which will put me in a BMI of 25exactly.

3LM - welcome back! Sounds like you're in a great headspace! I stop-started a few time before I really got going too. You can do it!

SJ - good luck with getting rid of those extra bits!! And looking forward to hearing your weigh in!!

AFM, tried EA sports active 2 last night... After a 3k run. Lol oops, my legs were so dead! After talk about the wii games & how much they really do for your fitness, I'm really impressed by this one so far. It certainly challenged me heaps more than wii fit plus. I like the HRM built into it too (especially since I can't find mine ha!).

    Happy healthy Sunday everyone!

    Welcome 3LM!!!

Sj - Yay for resisting - I am weighing in tomorrow, I thought it was today so I have an extra day to make up for my naughties last night.

Bel - Sounds good hun! What kind of things are on it? I have the normal sport one that you get with your Wii and was doing the boxing for a while -actually really good low impact cardio!!

AFM - I blew out last night - DH went up to get dinner from Salsas and instead of refusing and making something here like an omelette which I should have done I had no self-control Back on it today though and I weighed in this morning thinking my weigh in day was today but it's actually tomorrow and I have lost 800gms in 6 days! Freaking yay but need too keep it up!

Ok off to church and still in pjs oops! Talk soon!

Tanstar great news on the loss today.

SJ hope to read about your good loss also when you come back in. Well done on resisting the Lollies.

I'm excited. Of for a horse ride today. Haven't done that for a month so it will be nice to burn some cals trotting around the place on my old steed (his 24 so it wont be very physical) And I squeezed into 2 pairs of size 14jeans. I'm so excited. I still have about 3-4kilos I guess to loose before they are comfortable they are squeezing the fat up so I have a muffin top but OMG I can do them up. I've been wearing a combination of 14/16 for a while but now it appears all my 14s fit even if they are exceptionally tight. I'm finally at the goal I planned on been at back in June which was to fit into my 14's. Now just need to make them comfortable and then plan my next goal of a 12.

Arrgh...seriously DH!!! And that 'D' doesn't stand for Dear today.
He's been going really well with eating healthily for the last few weeks. I didn't join him because it was him falling off the wagon all the time and me following him, so I waited to see how he would go. 3 weeks later to now I thought 'well he's really serious and going so well, I will join hima nd we can support each other'. Today was my first day at it. I'm struggling a bit already because I am T I R E D! Beyond tired. And that makes me lazy and not want to make healthy food or have any resolve to say no. But I thought with DH, together we would be ok today. Yeah, right. Guess what he asked me this morning...?? 'You want Thai for dinner?' then he says to me 'I'm going to the shop later and getting some junk food. I'm having a junk day'. Of course. Why wouldn't he? He knows that I was goign to start today. He knows how hard this is and has been for me and how much I have and do want to lose weight and get myself under control. I have spoken to him in great depth about it all. It's not like he doesn't know. Then he does this. My enthusiasm has gone out the window. I'm tired, grumpy, premenstral and just want to crawl into bed and not come out. Day one- fail.

    Hi everyone!!

Welcome 3monkeys!!! Sorry about your Dh.. mine has uncanny timing with things too. I swear its not on purpose, its just crazy!! Mine isnt as serious though, my biggest bad timing thing is he always knows when i have JUST cleaned the bathroom- and then he shaves his head. Doesnt matter if i have left it a week, two weeks or what. He always shaves his head the day after!!! Its not fair though that your DH KNEW you were going to start today that is a huge slap in the face!!! Maybe you need to just not worry about him. Do what YOU need to do. I know it will be tempting to have him eating junk infront of you, but maybe if he see's your serious and your not going to budge, he might wake up to himself!!! All the best xxoo

    Sj!! Well done on resisting!!!!

Mildez.. I am jealous!! I love horse riding but i havent done it for years!!!!!!! Keep up the good work on fitting into those jeans!!!! I am a bit sad actually- i finally got a pair of jeans i really like that fit comfortably.. and when i loose weight i wont be able to wear them I only paid $6 at an op shop for them, so i cant really complain lol, but i like them!! lol I do have plenty of pants to try and fit back into anyway!!

Today i have had a bit of "day off" excercise wise.. i got a massive sleep in today which i really needed!!!!! I have been up way too late with the kids during the week- and its hard the nights DH is away coz i have to get up to them both (he usually deals with DS when he is home) usually DS is fine, but when daddy isnt home he is abit more likely to be unsettled, and the two of them are fantastic at tag teaming!!! One goes to sleep- the other one wakes... pretty much all night!!!

So.. my day didnt really start til about 1 lol... I had toast for "brunch" a combo of lunch and breakie!!! (with only 2/3 of the calories!!!) and some popcorn, but i dont think i am going to make it to the wii today. I did do some wood, but not much!! I might get on the bike when the kids are asleep tonight if they go to sleep early enough. But i am not stressing if i dont today!! I had a 100gram loss, which adds to a massive total for the week which i am really happy about!! And hey they say Sunday is a day of rest right!!! :-)

I hope everyone else had a good weekend!!

*nicely slaps everyone who ate naughty!!!!!!*

    Hi guys,

Sorry i didnt get back in earlier, very busy day and a baby that is going through what i assume is a growth spurt so have been feeding every 2 hours... over night last night too, so i hope she doesnt need it again tonight as i am one tired mumma!

Well i weighed in this morning and had a 700gram loss. I am happy, but to be totally honest i am a bit disappointed, i dont really know why, each day my jeans feel looser (i must wash them though to see what happens then) and i feel better, but i think with everyone else pulling big losses i was expecting a bit more... but then i guess the recommended loss is 500 grams a week, so i did more than that.... gaaahhhh i am just rambling now.

I also have lost some more off my waist which is great and i think that i am loosing the weight on areas that i didnt measure, my wrists are thinner (watch keeps slipping down) and HELLLLLOOOO clavicles long time no see!!!!

We went to PIL's today and we had pies for lunch - i just couldnt to it... so i lied and said that i had already eaten and went without... as soon as i githome i had an apple and some nuts... Not great, but i just couldnt bear to eat a pie!

I was telling DH about how someone ?who, was saying that when your tummy rumbles its your body eating the fat, we then went on to talk about BF and dieting and how that i had to not starve myself as i need to producemilk, but it also consumed calories too... and he said soo, your stomach rummbles and eats your fat and you make milk and your boobs eat your fat (you may have had to have been there!)

Anyway, thats it from me, just done the shred DVD and going to have a cup of tea (decaf) then off to bed... butfirst to update my ticker

Thanks to all for your support, those that had a great week... well done and keep it up... those that fell done (i can put my had up here) tomorrow is another day, keep going, one foot in front of the other and we WILL loose this together
