ladybird11 - sorry to hear it, hope everything is ok.
SJ - I meant to say... .... 80 centimetres... my waist! Not 80kg hahahaha, that would be very tall to be size 8. And I'm not really size 8 anyway, just my ass is. The rest of me sure ain't. i'm 58kg and quite the shorty.
Anyway, sounds like lots of folks are resetting/restarting/on the wagon as of today, so I'll join you all after an indulgent weekend. I may feel crappy but I don't have to eat crap and it.will.not.help.anything!! *kicks self up ass*. I have 6 weeks until DD's 1st birthday. And 3.5 weeks till end of aug. I haven't come this far just to slack off now.
That's ok LB11, given your job I figured that was it, it just throws me if there is no mention and someone posts As if they have been in here it doesn't make sense!
Sometimes I don't even figure them out, especially as I was away from the forum for nearly a year!
3LM - a cm doesn't seem like much, but it is, it makes a huge difference in clothes and more cm will follow, keep going Hun xx
I battling at the moment, had a bad evening again, need to get my focus back!
Hang in there ladies 3LM, it will pay off and just think of your mantras - one step at a time darls.
Ladybird11 - hope all is ok hun and thanks for the heads up, I was a bit confuzzled too!
I just weighed in and have lost 600grams this week. This is week 3 for me and have lost 1.5 kgs so 500 grams a week- seems to be ok but sloooowwwww! I have nobody to blame but me though seeing as I had pizza for dinner the other night etc. THing is I don't think I can ever say - ok no more junk/chocolate for me EVER. I just need to make sure I continue to moderate it. DH and would sometimes have takeaway all weekend whereas now if we have it one night, I make myself cook something healthy the next day.
My goal is also to do exercise every day, even if it is just yoga. Today it will be shred time though. Have a great week all and remember "We can't go back and change the past, but we CAN change our future starting NOW". TannyEss Circa 2011
Leesa I definately find I need to do all things right not just all of them but one if I am going to be satisfied with my loss, maintanence or tone. Like half of us I too have had a bad few days. I haven't completely over induldged but had some things I definately should not have.
3LM I second 1cm been great. I had to loose 9.8kilos to get 1cm gone from my thighs. I thought they should have been alot smaller by now.
Ginger great to hear your back on the wagon. New week yeah we can all do this.
Sterla that is fantastic news your jeans are comfortable. Such a great sign your doing in the right direction woohoo.
Well I had a great week last week until a b'day party yesterday I ate a little to much cake. Was good at the actual party but I was sent some home for the kids and they didn't want it so I ate it. I'm so disappointed in myself as thats all it takes to sabotage my weekly efforts in terms of a loss. I also only did 10mins on the bike yesterday which was not enough. I'm hoping this week will be easier as DH isn't here.
hi girls
weighed in this morning and I'm 71.2kg- so only 0.1 up on last week. not bad at all considering how much i indulged this week!
so I'm back on the wagon today and have just done 30 mins on my cross trainer. my goal to make changes for this week is to 30 mins every day and see if that makes a difference at weigh in time. i love my food too much to do a super strict diet so i'm just going to concentrate on cutting out junk and exercising.
re the diet coke. i was an absolute addict when i was younger. in my early 20s i used to sometimes drink 2litres a day!!! makes me sick now that i think about it. now i would have 2-3 cans a week. i never have it in the house and will only have it when i'm out to lunch or a special occasion (where I'm not drinking alcohol, i let the dc be my treat iykwim?) i used to be extremely tired all the time and used to always have a sleep at 4.30pm. yuck!
bbl ladies, have a good day
Ok Ginger and ladybird you have motivated me to only drink DC on the weekends! Starting today - will be a test of strength as there is a bottle in the fridge but I need to up my water intake big time. THere are days I would have coffee and DC all day and that's all! GROSS!
Sterla - that is awesome about your jeans hun!! I just simply can't wait for summer, I am so sick of jeans and pants and boots and black black black - ok my fault but I don't own many bright winter colours!
yeah its not good for you Tan. my dh always says to me 'do you ever see any skinny people with a dc hanging out of their mouth?' harsh, but kind of true! it is very addictive too. i let myself have one real coffee a day (sometimes 2) and apart from that i drink water. i will let myself have a soft drink at parties, dinners, special occasions but its not an everyday type thing.
anyways, as part of my new motivation I've done myself a ticker!!!! what do you think?
i've changed my goal a little from 60 to 63kgs as i think 60 was a little bit too ambitious and I've always been really happy in the past at 63kgs (i was this weight for many years when i used to work in retail) so i think that's a nice number to aim for.
lb11, re my username change, I'm also not on fb anymore due to some security issues which arose last week to do with work.
That sounds a little scary, I think I am pretty sure I know what you do (same as my DH) and well, that's scary. I always worry about something like that happening to DH, especially out here, were in a remote town, so things are kind of condensed, itms. Poeple know who we are, his kids, me. Annnywaaayy....
Oh and for the record, I would read your blog
belfie, if you're not feeling well, maybe make some yummy soup. It's healthy, and fulfilling when you feel crappy.
sammiejane, yes, 1cm is a fair bit, but I am just sceptical that is actually a loss and not just me measuring in a different place than I did last time, lol! Hopefully it is an actual loss. I guess I will find out next week if its an even smaller number
Tan, 600g, woooohooooo!!! Slow and steady wins the race babe. The reccommendation is for you to lose 500g-1kg a week. It is more sustainable that way. You're going great!
mildez, sometimes not having DH home helps doesn't it? Especially for you, if he's not supportive and helping you.
Ginger, you can do it hunny! Little changes go a long way!!
AFM, Thankyou for all of your encouraging words. It does help! I am going out today to buy some bright post it notes and I am going to write in black texta all of the little saying and manrtas I have heard recently and read in my mantra thread to try to keep me going. I didn't weight this morning because if those cruddy little numbers hadn't changed the way I wanted them to, I would probably have just said eff it and gone on a huge binge. But I am trying to remind myself that I am not only doing this to lose weight. I also want to just be eating healthier, more nourishing foods. And I want to continue to set good examples for my children. The weight WILL come off. Eventually. Even if it is 200g a month... though that would take me.....a bloody looooong time to lose 30kg! (LOL, it's too early to be calculating things like that!) DH has two rest days today, after 5nights again. These long stints of night shifts is killing me! Possibly (no, most likely!) part of my little tanty yesterday.
I have started today a little more energised, much more focused and enthused. Today I will focus on:
*Drink plenty of water (I will soon grow gills and become a fish I drink so much!)
*Eat my 2 and 5 a day
*Make sure my serving sizes are the right size
*Eat healthy protiens and fats to make up my intake (like nuts, avocado etc)
*Exercise a little each day (including some simple weight bearing like push ups and squats...ergh!)

I haven't been posting cos I didn't just fall off the wagon, think I rolled down the bloody hill too. Bad bad week. Which sucks cos the week before I lost 2.6kg. Its like once I get the taste of junk I just crave it and eat eat eat until I feel sick. Its disgusting and gross and I'm over it.
So I didn't weigh in this week, just not counting my loss from the other week. Have done exercise this morning - on the active game thingy on the playstation. DH is motivated to change (he is nearly 140kg, should be 100kg cos he's 6 foot 7) so we both have about 40kg to lose.
So up at 6 every morning so we can both exercise and shower before he leaves for work.
Hopefully I don't go bad again, I'm fine unless I have a bit of junk and then go completely off the rails. Shocking.
Oh well, up and at em I suppose!!
3LM - I'm always at the other end of a text if you want some support. We could start up a text challenge - ie - I text you to do 6 squats or something then you send me an exercise to do, and so on...lol...could be interesting!!
Ginger - Awesome ticker hun! Woo! I am wondering if my goal is a bit too ambitious - if I still head for that I have 5 kgs to go and haven't been that weight for over 8 years. If I go for the weight I was happily pre kids I have 3 to go. Will see how I go over the next few weeks.
Big WOO HOO for lossses!!! and big hugs to everyone who struggled this week!!!
MNB.... i noticed too that after a few weeks of not eating anything bad just how awful i actually felt after eating bad food. It made me feel all heavy and yucky!! Kinda took the fun out of it!!! Also i noticed that my heart burn came back, just from a few bikkies and some cake! (oh yeah and the pizza ) I hadnt even realised that the HB had gone until it came back and i was like "oooohhhh" Its great that your DH is being so supportive and doing this with you!! Thats great!! My advice.. when shopping, just dont buy anything that your not happy to eat. There is no point buying the bad stuff!!!! And it makes it soooooooo much easier to resist if it isnt there!!!!!!
3LM.. Good on you for not worrying about the numbers!!! Its great that your making your lifestyle changes- and as the weight disapears, you wont need to scales to tell you that its gone!! You will notice!!!!
Ginger! I reckon 63 would be lovely!! :-) Its crazy right now up in the 80's (for me) every kilo is huge!! But to me 60 or 63 is neither here nor there, same same!! I would be stoked to be either!!!! :-)
Sterla.. Thats frikken awesome about your jeans!!!!!! WOW!!!!!! That made me get a huge smil eon my face for you!!!!!
Belfie!!! Keep going love!!!! You will look fab!!!! (you already do!!!)
RE- the soft drink.. i am worse than all of you!! I had to give up my cola addiction!!! I was having one to three glasses a day. And not even the diet stuff!!! The real stuff!!!! Water is much better for me though!! And i was shocked to find that juice had nearly as many calories as the soft drink!!! So i dont drink that anymore either!!
I have been yo-yo-ing again I got back up to 82.5 (from 82) after a few naughty days, then i got sick and i havent been able to put the effort in to excercise it off again. I didnt weigh in for a few days, but i think i must have gotten higher again, but this morning i am stuck at 82.5- so a 500 gram gain Although on a happy note.. i just re did my measurements.. and WOW!!! 6cm gone from my belly!!! And between 1cm and 3cm off everywhere else!!!! So ok.. something is working!!!!! Keep going!!!!!!
DH was home for a few days and he bought lots of naughty things for the lollie jar (i was strong though and i resisted the m'n'ms!!!), he bought soft drink, chips.... (but got me the philli fat free dip- awwww thanks DH.. lol but the chips make it not worth it!!!! He did get us good things for lunches though.. salad and ham which was good, and my protein % was higher than normal!!
Then DS wanted to make bikkies, so we made some bikkies, and i indulged in more than one of those!!! On a good note though- we are going to be throwing away 90% of a huge cake that DH bought for DS's birthday (cost a fortune too ) because i only had two peices of it!!! A few months ago and i would have eaten the lot before it went off!!!
Well i hope i can manage more than 20 mins on the bike today, a head cold is no good!! I got dizzy last night after 20 mins, and i wasnt going that hard at all!!! And apparently even not eating much and not excercising means you can still put on weight!!
Sb - boo for your head cold hun, hope you are feeling better soon, and better to rest up, load up on fluids fruit and veggies and get better than push it too much. xoxo
Any other shredders out there? How hard is level 2! I've done it about 4 times now and am still just holding myself in plank for that part - I just can't imagine being able to hold it and jump my legs up!! Such a great quick workout though - I love it! Had an icky morning - no major blow outs but just snacked on a few crappy things so feeling a bit better now and will try and do yoga meltdown tonight once kids go to bed.
Sorry Mel - Jillian Michaels 30day shred, it's a DVD series (that I ahem.... acquired through my husbands sneaky means) and it's wicked! 20 minute work out and I mean WORK!
Off to read the new challenge - somehow didn't get to the last one!
Jumping on the bandwagon. My BMI states I am just outside of "normal" so I would like to lose 5kgs or ideally 10kgs before December when I start my TTC journey. Ideally I will lose 5kgs before November as I am off to the beaches of Thailand and would love to rock a bikini!
I am a member of my local gym/sea baths but don't go nearly often enough.
What are your favourite gym classes? I love yoga and pilates but I know I need to start going to more intense workout classes!
Amy!! I haven't been for ages but I loved Body Pump when I was going in the past and Body Combat which is like a martial arts type work out. I think doing cardio on a tready or x trainer plus weights would be ace too!
