Yup - I'm in Melb...
I think a walk would be good - it would also allow for those with injuries of varying degrees and sorts to partake. We could make it interesting. But we could also do a combination of things - so if we were meeting somewhere (and lets face it, we'd be there at least a couple of days since most people will be flying there!), we could do different activities on different days. It doesn't even have to be just walking or just running or just cycling etc. It could be something like this;
Day 1: (assuming some won't arrive until pm) Dinner and "get to know IRL"
Day 2: Pre-breakfast brisk walk (45 min)
Breakfast
Class held by Leesa or CQ - something like combat as we won't have equipment
Lunch
Game of some sort (volleyball, basketball, netball, touch footy - depending on facilities etc)
Dinner
Who knows
Day 3: pre-breakfast walk (anti-hangover cure) 45 min
Breakfast
Cycle to sight see
lunch
"fitness circuit" (we can use what ever is around. I have thera and resistance bands, we can use park equipment)
Dinner
AND, if we went somewhere like Club Med, we can throw in snorkelling and other bits and bobs! PLUS those fees include flights, accom, food etc. AND we can bunk in or families can come (and do their own thing!). Just an idea off the top of my head!
Heather - totally understand about letting the class settle down. Maybe they will put more classes on? Have fun in class tomorrow! And def do a good warm up and cool down! Andat thinking of Top Gun! That's better than thinking of nursery rhymes!
Leesa - def no classes yet! First, I have to prove I can do basic things like behave on the cardio equip when not supervisedAnd considering I'm in trouble for my two short jogs... Clarification: not because I jogged but because I'm now a little sore after the treadmill belt slipped and I jarred... How is everything going with you hon? And yes - STRETCH! I can't emphasize stretching enough for everyone!
Eluned - ooooo I have a love hate relationship with the foam roller! I prefer my spike balls!
AFM - PT this morning was a wee so so. I had a few tender points where we were both worried about my back. But I'm ok. I think it was just the cold weather to be honest but D thinks it was my jog. He gave me the free pass. I will be there tomorrow hopefully. Send me positive vibes around 1845hrs Melb time girls!!!!! I'm nervous but hoping it won't be too bad. I will just stick my music on and ignore the worldOtherwise I'll go Fri after work when I know D will be there....
Anyone want my whingey 3 year old?
Stay active!
