I should try and go on Sat when the footy's on so I can have the place to myself, unless everyone else is thinking the same thing! hehe
Oh oh oh! AWESOME idea!!!! I hate the footy and never go to the gym on a Sat because it's too busy!!! But I think I might this week! AWESOME idea!

 Hi Heather!!!! Been wondering where you are! How is everything going? I could prob get work in theatre now if I wanted it... but it doesn't interest me. Especially where I work. I'm sick of politics. Thanks for agreeing to be a volunteer without even knowing what you'll be doing! Love ya!

Leesa - how are you feeling hon? How is the BP?

Christy - how is the gym coming along?

Tan - good on you for getting up and continuing on in boxing! I've had a few falls recently in the gym and totally understand wanting to run out. In fact, I told my trainer if I had another fall I wouldn't be returning!

Kel - I just wear standard Target undies.

    Hi to everyone else!

I had PT this morning. I've not gotten much in over the last week. I did do two run/walks last week which resulted in me being a bit ouchy. Probably not a good idea to do two in a row. Especially since I'm still a little sore today. And have just spent the entire hour of PT being lectured about it. But given the alternative... I'd do it (run) all again! My PT session was not so great today. D and I were at each other a bit. I know we go through periods like this but right now, I don't want to return. He's peeved me off too much. So much so, I haven't booked in for another gym creche session next week yet. I normally book in the week prior but didn't this week. And the girls exchanged a look when I said I'd get back to them. Even THEY knew something was up! But D? Nah, he's just D. All I can say right now is AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG!!! and "Where is my treadmill? I'm going running!".

And I'm struggling at the moment because I'm finding it difficult to motivate myself to get to the gym itself and home sessions just don't do it for me. And I'm getting more frustrated with myself because if I can motivate others, I should be able to motivate myself! And if I can't motivate myself, what business do I have trying to get into the course I want to do? And if I can't shed at least another 10Kg, what right do I have to do this course I want to do? Or think people will want to employ me? x1000!!!!!!!!!

Oh MG, I don't have any advice on the motivating yourself because I'm struggling with that too! But you are an awesome motivator of others and I think you are very worthy of pursuing your course

Kelebek, I just wear plain cotton briefs from Big W.

Heather, there is a Jetts around the corner from me and I looked into it but decided against it because I mainly wanted classes (pilates in particular) so I joined my local Goodlife.

Winter, thank you thank you thank you for your support and encouragement! That is an awesome quote and I've written down and look at it all the time.

leesa, tricep dips for the ATW challenge!! Yay! I so need to work these. Evil but good By the way, you've got a cute little bump there

As for me, I am still struggling to get over this wretched flu/cold/bug/whatever it is! Start to feel good one day but the next morning wake up feeling worse again. Argh, it is frustrating me as I want to get out and exercise really hard! Yesterday was the start of my 12 week challenge and so I had to do a fitness test to set my benchmark. It included jogging (or walking or crawling!) 1km. So I get up early, warm up by walking to the local primary school oval and then start my 1km jog around the oval. Two and a half laps, 1km, in 4 minutes and 57 seconds Wheee! I had to make sure I actually did it correctly because it didn't sound right to me. I almost had to start again because some stupid woman had her dogs off the lead and they jumped on me as soon as they saw me run past. I was so angry but she got them off and took them away. Anyway, being out early and running when I can hardly breathe due to being sick probably didn't help but I just wanted to get this fitness test done. Then yesterday afternoon, I had to get out of the house so put the kids in the pram and went for a 45 minute walk. I figured the fresh air and sunshine would kill some of these bugs! Haven't done anything today so might try and get a home workout done later.

ETA: I've bitten the bullet and am going to do a triathlon in 8 weeks time! Eek! What have I got myself into?! Now I just need to learn how to swim.

thanks for your reply ladies, I am generally a standard target or bigW brand and wondered if people who work out have a secret

I am currently pyching myself up to getting truly serious about weight loss cause I know until I am in the right frame of mind I won't make the changes necessary. I know I have to start somewhere and I am doing my preparation at the moment. So I will join this area more often then.

Thanks Eluned - I think there will be a noticable difference next week. Any suggestions for next weeks bonus exercise? So glad you've got a goal of the triathlon too - so so proud!

MG - how is the TRX band going hun?? don't hit self destruct on me babe .

DC - I've noticed less posting your exercise on the FCS page, tsk, tsk. Have a read of my latest blog. You were one of the people I was referring to as being 'seriously on their way to achieving their goals'......click my link on my sig, go on, dare ya .

DC - think of your goals. Think of all you have achieved. Think of how wonderful you feel after a session! Take it one day at a time! Baby steps and goals.

Leesa - not hit it yet. The only thing I'm looking at hitting at the moment is my trainer! And I'm not a violent person! TRX is on ice until my shoulder resolves. You can imagine how pleased I am about that I do intend to hit the gym after work tomorrow and take it out there... hopefully D is not there!

Eluned - I'm another one who is so please about the triathalon! You go girl!!!!

I have had a crappy emotional week. AF turned up and I spent nearly all of Sunday in bed in tears, Monday my birthday I spent a whole $50 on myself and did a session with J. That was the best part of my day. Tuesday I designated as rest day and then today I spent most of the day on the toilet... which was my ICE session day and I thought it wise to skip it. DH didn't get home from work in the end until 7pm so I would have missed it!

We have all this house moving crap going on and Im hating how much effort i put into my job and feeling like I dont get anywhere.. The gym is the only place I actually WANT to go at the moment but I seem to get put off by the fact I am really struggling with food and everything else going on. That and the scales aren't moving yet... Which makes me even though I know the positive changes I am making is what is important it is hard to stay motivated when it doesn't move.

I really wish I could run already as I really, really want to run and just STOP thinking!

    Sorry for my sob story!

DC I am following your journey and you are doing so well. Is your motivation in general waning or something in particular? How is the gym going? is there a way we can help motivate you? how is your journey with the 12 week challenge going?

You sound like me. It was how I was in the beginning. I still have days where all I want to do is throw off the ties of reason that D puts on me, and run. I mean really really run. I love to run. When I get really upset or frustrated, it is my only saving grace. But I've learnt that running is not always my friend.

I've also learnt that when we are sick or have AF, we are much more emtional and require much more motivation. It can be so difficult. The best thing I can suggest, besides my previous post, is to wait a week. Keep moving forward. Tomorrow will be a better day. I promise.

ETA we must have posted at the same time.

First thing first DC I LOVE your new sig.

The main thing that stands out to me in your post is that you want to be going to the gym and exercising and life has thrown a few curveballs at you and you still have that desire. Can you do anything at home? I know I am finding it impossible but just a thought.

Can you take these last few days as a road bump and get back on the bandwagon? Goodluck

DC - keep on going hun. We all have our bad days. I've had a nasty cold for the last week and a half and most days I've only managed a long slow walk. Just as I'm getting over it my hay fever kicks in and I just feel bleurgh! With the food, are you recording it on calorie king? Have you got your meals and snacks planned out to avoid last minute temptations? Tomorrow is a new day! BTW, Happy Birthday for Monday!!!

leesa, how about wall squats? Stand against wall in a squat position (knees 90 degrees bent) and see how long we can hold for? Or maybe mountain climbers? Or alligator pushups?

Wall squats are eeevil like planks! I can do about 40 secs I think.

Thank you all for your support. I just need to get back in there. I have lost a lot of enjoyment since dropping my classes (Zumba, Jam, Combat) - i loved getting all sweaty and worked up and then pumping it out on the XT for the extra 15 mins. I am under strict trainer instruction to limit the cardio and stick to the program which is hard! Especially when resistance training doesnt give me a rush because there is no sweat.

My food problem is lunches!!! I miss bread. I can plan to eat salad or use lettuce as a wrap but I really just want my salad sandwiches back... but I am only supposed to eat breads/pastas/rice after exercise. Breakfast is good, snacks are good, dinner is easy provided I exercise at night time (other wise it is just lean meat & steamed veges no noodles, rice, pasta etc). I am boosting my protein intake (and snack easiness) with protein shakes (half skim milk, half water, strawberries and banana). And have increased my water intake to 3-4L a day.

Although I have been sneakin in choccy and dessrts... that's my uterus being sneaky i think

I think I am just feeling a bit overwhelmed with LIFE in general. I am going to the gym tomorrow morning before work (QIAS training thursday nights for the next five weeks... blergh) so hopefully that will be a kickstart.

I am being slightly saved by the fact my mum (who is generally very critical) thinks I look like I am losing weight and I have detected a potential 6cm off my booooobies already And I have gone from being able to do 8-10 push ups to 20.

Thank you for reminding me what to think about, i appreciate it

MG I hope your shoulder recovers quickly!

Eluned I am so excited for your triathlon!!! I am a hopeless swimmer that would be my downfall!

Leesa been following your blog. I am still keen to match your 35kg but days like today and knowing that the scales arent moving are what makes me feel defeated!

    Love you all, thanks xX

    leesa - or burpees!!!

DC - have you tried Mountain Bread!?! This stuff is awesome, low carbs. I have been replacing my sandwiches with that as wraps. Gives me that 'bread' hit without all the extra crap. And YAY on the 6cm off and YAY on the pushups!! Progress! Awesome stuff chick As for the swimming, I am ****ting myself about it. I'm only doing a "short" triathlon which involves 100metre swim but still I'm shaking in my boots

maz - hang in there hun, are you allowed to do any exercise at all? Just a slow gentle walk around the block even? Try not to let it get you down, you'll be back training in no time

It must be the week for it, i have had a very emotional week to DC, i have done my two P/T sessions but nothing else, i went shopping in Geelong monday and ate Maccas on the way home, which to be honest was gross, i have never been a fan, was just convenient whilst driving for the kids.

I was weighed today and am happy to say i have lost 10.2kg so far, which is fantastic i know but i cant see it, and only a few people have commented so i keep second guessing it

Maz you have had such a rough road and it would be hard as i know its probably while before you can exercise again after your op. YOu will get there hun..
DC Af is a tough time for me too, i struggle big time, you will get back on track..
MG i feel bad whinging when you have so much to deal with, i hope your shoulder heals fast..
Eluned wow i can never imagine doing a triathlon, i struggle to run at all.
